The Little King Next Door

CH 1

===Chapter 1 Being thrown overboard===

“Captain, a child has been found in the cabin.”

The First Officer reported that he had a boy brought over.

The boy was very thin, maybe six or seven, yellowish-skinned, no flesh on his body, so thin you could see his ribs, and only a rag around his waist.

The crew member carrying the boy threw him against the boat.

The boy slumped to the ground and slowly curled up into a ball.

The captain frowned, the boy was bruised and swollen, probably with a cut on the back of his head, and his short hair was stuck in a blob of blood. His left arm was hanging down, probably broken.

The captain used his foot to turn over the boy’s front and saw a large dark red area on his abdomen, a wound that was not easy to treat and probably internal.

The boy opened his eyes and looked at the captain.

The captain suddenly snorted. The boy looked so weak when his eyes were closed, but when he opened them, he exuded a sense of “I’m a prick” from head to toe.

“Throw him away.” The captain ordered without hesitation.

Even if he could be saved, how much would he fetch if he were sold? Ten boys wouldn’t even be enough to pay for the cost of medicine on the sea.

What about work? What could such a small, skinny boy do? Besides, the boy did not look like a grateful and honest person.

Without another word, the crew member lifted the boy and headed for the deck.

The First Officer thought of his only son, whom he hadn’t seen for a long time, and felt a little compassion: “We’re almost at Seagrass Island, why don’t we drop him off there? It’s his luck if he survives, but not if it’s his fate.”

The captain laughed coldly, “This boy sneaked onto my boat without buying a ticket, and you want me to take him to Seagrass Island? Aren’t there two others on board who just died?”

Seagrass Island? The name was familiar. The boy was remembering where he had heard the name before.

“Yes, Captain!” The crew member mentioned the boy again, and he deliberately pinched his broken left arm, laughing strangely, “Boy, you will be taken to the gods of the sea, and in your next life remember not to just sneak onto other people’s ships.”

The First Officer frowned, “All right, leave the boy to me. You go deal with the two bodies.”

The crew member dared not disobey the First Officer and handed the boy over to him.

The boy’s intact right hand swept past the crew member’s fingers and waist with surprising speed.

The crew member half-noticed and called out to the other two crew members to move the bodies.

“Try to swim to that island on the left.” The First Officer whispered quickly against the boy’s ear.

Splash!, the boy was eventually thrown into the sea.

Damn, there really is no human rights for white-collar ones. Wang Ye surfaced holding a broken wooden bucket that had been pumped with water and spat out a mouthful of fishy salty seawater. The broken barrel was shoved at him by the First Officer. He owed the First Officer a share of karma, so he would pay it back later when he had the chance.

Luckily, from the boat he had just seen two almost horizontal islands nearby, and could swim at most three to five hundred meters past them. It was better luck that it was high tide.

The wounds on the back of his head and body were a little painful, but not so unbearable, and he had a very high tolerance for pain; what would be a level nine pain with others was a level three at best with him. It was the brain fog, the aftermath of the concussion.

Wang Ye put the ring he had taken from the crew member on his thumb, and the money bag had to be put in a broken barrel. The other side threw him once and pinched his broken arm once, so let’s use the ring and the money bag as compensation.

At the same time he was given two copies of the power of karma.

One from the crew and one from that captain.

He didn’t pay to ride on someone else’s boat, and the captain threw him overboard, so he also settled a karmic score.

Wang Ye absorbed the two karmic powers and finally got a little energy in his body. He then relaxed his body and rested his head on the edge of the barrel, letting the waves push him towards the island.

It was his second day of rebirth, and he hadn’t even thought about entering the game so soon. After all, the entry fee for this game was not low, with the cheapest gaming console costing 18,800, and the legendary game pod even costing as much as 188,000.

Anyone who can afford to play ‘Extreme Dangerous’ nowadays is someone who has the money to burn.

Who would have thought that after taking care of some scum, he was too tired to sleep for a while, and when he woke up again, he finds himself in the game.

What was even more amazing was that he didn’t seem to have entered with brain waves, but with his real body.

Wang Ye guessed that his ability to be reborn including being able to enter the game in his real body, was probably all related to that thing he had gotten in his previous life, and the fact that he would be surrounded by so many people and even chased to reality was also because of that thing.

He just didn’t know if he could still be resurrected after his real body entered the game and died.

Unfortunately he didn’t dare to try, if he did he would only have one life, who would he cry to after he died?

Besides, his skills had come with him after his rebirth, but the big spatial bracelet that he had managed to get was gone.

The game has a lot of nasty settings. Two of the most famous and protested ones being the lack of a backpack and the lack of initial skills.

Want a space pack? You can find and buy one, or learn how to make one yourself.

Want skills? There’s only one way to do it, learn it realistically. Want to learn the skill and unleash it with the push of a button? Dream on!

However, one good thing about this game is that players can bring the skills they have learned and mastered into the game world and use them.

This is also the reason why Wang Ye was able to use the power of cause and effect as soon as he entered the game.

In fact, these settings of the game have shown in various ways that it is not a mere holographic game world at all. It’s just that people are completely unaware of it initially.

Splash! Splash!

Wang Ye heard two sounds of something falling into the water one after another, and when he looked back, he saw two more people or corpses thrown off that boat?

Both of them were originally passengers on the ship and had somehow died. For such people who died on the ship and had no distinguished status, the captain usually had only one way to deal with them: the property belonged to him, and the person belonged to the sea.

One of the bodies was thrown into the sea and sank to the bottom, coming up after a while and being struck down again by the waves.

The other body fell into the sea and its limbs suddenly twitched, and slowly, almost unconsciously, it began to row.

Wang Ye only glanced back and didn’t look any further. He couldn’t even save himself, so he didn’t have the time to care about the deaths of others.

The crew member on board who was in charge of watching the sea saw one of the two bodies alive, but he didn’t shout a word. The man who had been thrown overboard by the captain’s decision was dead, even if he was still alive.

A group of bloodthirsty sea fish smelled the smell of blood and quickly followed behind Wang Ye, soon surrounding him.

These fish all seemed to be particularly interested in the back of Wang Ye’s head, and kept bumping into the back of Wang Ye’s head. If you look closely, you can see that these fish are biting Wang Ye’s hair, no, to be correct, they are biting the wound on the back of his head, and they look greedy as if they want to drill into his head.

The wound that had already stopped bleeding was again being hit by these fish, causing blood to pour out.

Wang Ye was forced to stick his head out of the water as far as possible to avoid letting his wound touch the sea water.

Let’s get to the shore. If sharks or other large fish were attracted to him, he would be miserable.

Bang, the broken wooden barrel hit the reef.

Ahead was the island, and Wang Ye could already see the large number of palm trees growing unchecked.

Wait, which island was the one on the left?

Whatever, he had drifted to this island, so what the hell.

But before he could actually set foot on the island, he had to cross a reef beach consisting of countless black reefs of varying sizes.

Wang Ye’s face was a bit blue. If he was pushed over by the waves like this, his belly, and limbs would be torn by these sharp reefs.

The small group of shark-like sea fish behind him are still clinging to him, if he bleeds more blood ....

No, I must get out of the water quickly.

Wang Ye turned around and swam towards the largest reef he could see nearby. He had to try to get to the reef while he still had some strength left in him and wait for the tide to drop before thinking about going ashore.

Wang Ye put the broken barrel on the reef first, and only then, with one hand clasping the gap in the reef, lifted his body upwards with force.

Anyone who has ever swum knows that water is buoyant, especially seawater, but when you come out of seawater, your whole body feels like it is being pulled by seawater and is very heavy.

Wang Ye again only had one arm to use, and after raising it several times he was unable to lift himself up onto the reef successfully. He tried to put his two feet on the reef, but he was small, and it was high tide, so he couldn’t step on the surface with his two feet. Nor could he climb the reef like a mountain.

After several attempts, Wang Ye was so tired and exhausted that he simply used one hand to clasp the reef gap and hung himself on the reef.

Behind him, herds of fish kept following him, and sea snakes also swam by.

Wang Ye’s crisis radar kicked in, and the strong sense of imminent danger forced him to squeeze out what strength he had left to scramble up the reef.

A large hand suddenly grabbed his wrist and lifted him out of the sea water alive.
