231 Dinner party in Castle Town (Bottom)(1/2)
"This is my vegetable dish."
When the dish was brought with the voice of Timaro, the men of the aristocratic camp beckoned.
On the plates carried by the trolley, a giant tarapa was placed as a whole.
Tarapa is a fruit with a pumpkin-like shape and a tomato-like hue.
This talapa was especially big and was about the size of a rash on my head as a Halloween face.
"You also have a big talapa like this. No, this surprised me."
I raise a voice like Tolst, the guardian of the Turan family, was impressed.
There, Polearths' coarse voice was covered.
"A vegetable called tarapa grows so much when left alone. But the bigger it gets, the harder it gets, the more sour it gets, and the sweeter it gets."
"Oh, Tarapa was also raised on a farm in Dalaim."
"Yes. So, if you continue to nurture that much more time and effort on the tarapa that you grew up with, this time it shrinks to a wrinkle and the acidity and sweetness give it an exquisite taste that is much more concentrated.... But if you grow it so well, the price goes up more than double. Therefore, in accommodation towns, rural areas, etc., the more sour tarapas grown are sold, and in castle towns, the smaller grains and sweeter tarapas are sold.. When they grow to be about this size, they are usually too sour to eat very well."
Polluth was intriguing in his eyes as he showcased his unexpected knowledge.
"But of course, the famous cook, Lord Timaro, is not supposed to feed us such a bad tarpah."
"Yes, of course."
With the main dish meat dishes at present, Timaro seemed to be burning in his willingness to recover from the loss here.
For that magnificent man, his smooth fingertips are gently attached to Tarapa's heel.
"This will be a special Tarapa dish that I have uniquely devised. Beyond dinner at Count Turan's, be the first to see it."
That's how Timaro lifted his heel, and the top part of the tarapa was removed like a lid.
From there emerged a stewed dish of bright red vegetables.
I wonder which weak heat put the ingredients through the tarapa contents, put the ingredients in there, and the tarapa exterior walls didn't boil down.
The scent of all kinds of vegetables and vanilla and the meat simmered into it flutters and tickles my nose.
(Sounds like a pretty confident piece over there)
Looking at vegetables in a bowl is an interesting attempt.
This is another simple dedication on my part.
"This is Giva's breast and vegetable boiled dish."
As for the name, was it also called "Giva's Cold and Warm Vegetable Salad"?
Gibba uses rose meat. Boiled until tender, then washed with water to remove excess fat, cold shavings.
The vegetables were boiled to the point where they soaked Tino and Nenon and Aria, and, as an added color, they were served raw with the "concentrated small grain tarapa of sweetness and acidity" where Polearth was referred to.
Seasoning involves squeezing the fruit juice of a lemon-like seal into tau oil and sprinkling it melted with soup stock from the top.
As far as I am concerned, it is the image of Ponzu soy sauce.
I want people by the woods to consume more vegetables. That's the menu I invented from that thought.
The quantity of rose meat is hidden, and the quantity of vegetables is abundant.
Vina-Lu and Grandma Tito Min liked this dish at the main house of Luu when the tasting was done.
"Yeah, both of these look delicious"
Polearths is giving a groaning voice.
Wellhide and Leeheim, among others, were also worried about which one they got their hands on.
In the meantime, the folks by the woods were quietly eating my food.
I guess it would be busier and more exciting for Dan-Rutim and others to attend, on the other hand, I also think that if Timaro's food didn't fit his mouth, it's going to be a hell of a thing.
"Yeah, this is delicious! Both are delicious, Lord Asta and Lord Timaro!
And, heck, they decided to do two kinds of cooking and come and go, and Polearth gave me his thoughts first again.
"Lord Timaro's dishes are full of vanilla! Caron's, is this the meat on your back? The meat is delicious and the vegetables are delicious! And the acidity of Tarapa is wonderful again!
"I hope you don't mind. .. Tarapa, which is so sour, is useless if it is normal, but if it is used as a vessel that encloses ingredients in this way, the sourness that sprinkles from it creates an irresistible flavour."
"I see. But the Tarapa used in this seems to be the more well-groomed Tarapa, doesn't it?
"Yes, the percentages of those two types of tarapas were the best idea"
"So you've disposed of the contents of the creepy tarapa. That's a pretty luxurious way to use it."
To the words, Fou's parents frowned with prickliness.
Its eyes glimmer a crimson stewed dish split into a ceramic dish.
When I tried to ask what was wrong, Gazran-Rutim, who was next door to Baim's parents, made a statement for the first time.
"This is delicious. I can smell the vanilla very strongly, but I think it has a very rich flavour."
Perhaps that was the first praise directed from the Moribe faction to Timaro.
I thought this would finally lift Timaro's mind - but Timaro just responded "I'm afraid" with his face.
(... maybe you don't care about the ratings from the people by the woods?
If so, that didn't seem like a lot of a difference, but for his self-esteem, that might have been happier.
This is a goodwill dinner party. If you are Gazran-Rutim or Dali-Souti, you will understand that admiring the dishes on the other side is a bridge of good fortune.
But the people by the woods have a strong sense of making falsehood a vice.
They don't have the ability to flatter their hearts.
I guess that's why they've been so hard and so silent.
(I told them that Gazran-Rutim was delicious, so I'm sure that's what I'm saying from the bottom of my heart. If I were you, I'd be so happy to get my chest clogged)
Well, I guess Timaro, who doesn't know the temperament of the people by the woods, has no such emotion either.
He returned a very warm smile as he hung for Gazran-Rutim.
"Asta's food is delicious, of course."
I feel like I've been spotted inside, and I'm embarrassed.
The fact that everyone by the woods likes my dishes could be fully deduced from its abundance of food.
But of course Donda-Lou and Graf-Zaza, who don't originally talk a lot, both Gazran-Rutim and Dari-Sutty began to feel bad about praising all my dishes, and I guess they were just getting a good few words.
"Yeah, Asta's food is so delicious too! Even though it seems a lot easier to cook, it tastes great. Besides, Giva meat is delicious after all! I can't wait for the main course."
Seeing, Polearth had almost finished eating both plates already.
Then - it is finally ready for the main dish.
"Now, please wait a moment"
Timaro's gone out with the little ones, so I'm rushing over there, too.
Timaro quickly walked away to the end of the corridor as if he wanted to avoid being spoken to by me.
"I don't feel hostile to the nobles, but that cook seems to be burning hostility by himself."
While walking, Ai-Fa softly leans over.
I couldn't have said much of a detour in front of the juniors either.
"Oh, Asta. Haven't you had any problems finishing the yakiyaki only?
Returning to the cook, Rayna-Lew rushed over first.
Blue eyes intersect the light of anxiety and anticipation.
"It was just that," he replied, spreading a flowery grin on his face.
"Good for you then. Finally, meat dishes."
"Yeah. Nice to meet you."
Me, Raina-Lou and Sheila-Lou, we'll split up and light a fire on each other.
A little further away, Rimi-Lou said, "Hang in there!" He backed me up.
"How about dinner party?
"Um, I knew there'd be some awkward air flowing on the ends. Donda-Lou and the others didn't originally have the habit of wasting their time at dinner."
I shrug my shoulders as I watch Lard melt transparently.
"But, well, my dishes seem to be pretty popular, and I'm gonna wrap them up with the rest of the lid."
Anyway, today would be the point if we could finish without a wave.
Malstein has a hard time grasping inside because his affection is too good, but faces like Polearth, Wellhide, Tolst and Leeheim are able to have a real sense that he liked my dishes - Gibba's.
All I have to do is pray not to be discouraged by the main dish and dessert.
"Okay. Then I'll be there."
Serve the finished dishes on a plate, courage, head to the dining room.
Cry or laugh, the end of the dinner party is now.
In the dining room, Timaro was already waiting.
Wait for me to get in place, and Timaro takes the lid off the dish.
"It is a steaming dish of carons"
Oh, the people on the aristocratic side turned again.
On the biggest plate ever laid a huge mass of meat.
It would have been 60 cm long, 30 cm wide and only 15 cm thick. One end is slightly smaller and thinner, and seems to use the whole body of the small quadrupedal beast.
He hasn't baked the surface, and the ivory steamed surface is hung with orange sauce.
Around it lay a tremendously squishy small grain of tarapa, chacci, nenon, and numerous vegetables and numerous herbs unknown from then on, and the luxury of the exterior was quite extraordinary.
"This one uses the body of a child's caron torso. Let's start with the meat on your outer back."
Timaro takes a giant meat cutter out of his hand.
The meat mass embraced its blade without any resistance and was quickly cut apart like tofu or butter.
The meat peeking from the cross section is dark peachy and emits some nagging glow.
Is the meat not so moisturized either?
Anyway, it looked like delicious meat.
"This is a dish where the meat on Giva's back is wrapped in chatch powder and fried with Giva fat"
I can't lose this one either.
I first split a raw salad of chopped Tino, Aria and Nenon, then dressed it with a base of seal fruit and Leten oil, and let 'Deep-fried Giva's Dragon Field' be placed there.
This dish is also the first to be seen except for Donda-Lou.
The area to be used immediately was laid down in the loin, which was slightly thicker and decided to make it a size that could be eaten with the lid mouth or so.
Choosing this dedication from a few meat dishes, what appreciation will be given to my judgment - regardless of Timaro's dedication, this was also a time of battle for me.
Me and Timaro's cooking will be served by the hands of the juniors.
"Oh, this again makes me wonder which one to eat from. Asta's deep-fried Kimmus dishes were incredible."
Polearth compared the two dishes with a small knife for cutting and two iron skewers in his hand.
Dari-Sauti, who likewise took the iron skewer, slightly frowns, "This is..".
"Though this meat seems to be raw and roasted. Do you mind if I eat this?
"Yeah. Fresh carons of meat can be eaten without going through the fire at all. Enjoy with confidence."
It is oddly muddy and glowing, but ostensibly roasted beef itself.
If it is this kind of direct meat dish, would it also suit the preferences of the people by the woods?
(Speaking of which, Donda-Lou also liked roasted giva meat, right?)
This is not compared to the taste of Timaro.
But if Donda-Lou had ruled that Timaro's food tastes better - I could be so devastated on the inside.
This is the first time I've ever felt my palpitations get faster.
"Well, I'll have it."
Malstein stabs Kalon's meat with an iron skewer first.
It is a chunk of chunky meat that is about two or three centimeters thick.
While supporting it with the belly of a knife, carefully carry it to your mouth to avoid spilling orange sauce -
Thus Malstein narrowed his eyes satisfactorily.
"This is... amazing softness. Doesn't it just melt in your mouth?"
Can even steamed dishes rather than baked be softened to that point?
In my face, which is a little breathtaking, Timaro gracefully greets me.
"We have chosen a child with a particularly good quality caron, and we have been able to put enough effort and time into it for you to see. And then it's possible to create enough softness for even toothless humans to eat, as long as they're careful with the fire."
"Hmm. Still, there are not many cooks in Genos who can cook this far. Sooner or later, I'd like you to keep the Chef of Castle Genos."
"I am delighted to hear your words."
Timaro looks at me, like he won proudly.
The Polearths and Tolstoys similarly uttered Caron's dishes in amazement.
And they are the people by the woods.
Dari-Sautti, who had been much quieter in some of the dishes here, "uhm," became overwhelmed.
"Asta, I was wondering why you didn't make a bug in this place... your skill is awesome. I never dreamed of hiding anything like that."
"Do you mind?
"Oh. My stomach was swollen, but this is going to make me eat as much as I want"
"Right," says Gazran-Rutim, too, instead of Dari-Sauti, who smiles in a park manner.
"If I told him I mouthed this kind of dish, he's going to complain to my father Dan again. Asta, why don't you take care of Rutim's skin again in the near future?
"Yeah, I'd love to"
Two words that didn't make much of an exaggeration crept deep into my chest.
Donda-Lou, Graf-Zaza and the parents of Fou and Baim have all been quite impetuous in teasing my dishes while remaining silent.
Apparently, all the aristocratic factions came from Timaro's dishes, and all the Moribe factions got their hands on mine.
The first minute served on the calf quickly disappears from the plate and is finally the next step.
Most of the aristocrats looked full of anticipation, and the folks by the woods took a second plate each, all in all with a faint face of emotion.
"Oh......!" The voice of Polearth echoes.
I wonder.
Thinly sliced meat or ground beef has been used so far.
Whether it's okonomiyaki or cold shabu-shabu salad, I've been careful with the portions to avoid getting too assertive.
This is the real Giva meat dish.
The round face of Pole Earth had an unexplained expression of joy.
"Yummy! This is delicious! Lord Asta, your skill..."
And that's where I go back to chewing.
Still, I could breathe relief.
He's savoring my dishes so he can spare time to say his praises. That was enough for me.
"This surprised me... Lord Asta of the house of Fa, I hear that he comes more from outside the sea and is a people... but what kind of history does he have?
After taking the time to sip down a bite of fried dragon fields, it was Tolst who had asked as such.
"I am the son of a small restaurant in an island country called Japan. Since I was a kid, my father has been giving me cooking tricks."
"Is that the truth? What if he was a court cook or something in Dragon God's kingdom?"
"There is no annihilation! It's never that big of a body."
"Hmm. But it's not unusual that you have the skill to stand alongside Lord Timaro at that young age."
Naturally, Timaro's cheeks tingled and cramped.
Looking sideways at it, Leeheim smiles a little badly at people.
"Lord Tolst, I wonder if it is too much words to praise you until you stand side by side. I suppose we are deluded by the rarity of this Asta and her cooking in exotic ways."
"Well, Lord Leeheim said he wasn't that impressed?
"No. I'm perfectly deluded. Just so we're clear, Asta and her dishes even feel extraordinarily good."
Apparently, this young man, he's not in a very straight mood.
Furthermore, as Leeheim tried to continue to speak lightly, there were those who spoke to cut it off.
"But this meat dish is unpleasantly delicious. For one thing, make no mistake or doubt."
What a voice it was, the voice of Melfried, who remained stubbornly silent in the aristocratic faction.
Leeheim clutches his mouth like a little, and Malstein smiles "ho".
"This surprised me. Whatever you eat, you don't move a single brow muscle. I didn't expect the Lord to say those words. Isn't this the first time your lord has ever told you what it's like to cook, Mel Fried?
".. it doesn't matter to me, such as the good or bad taste of cooking"
Cold-eyed like a reptile, Melfried said.
"I just don't care. I know good and bad. This dish will be delicious."
"Oh, it's delicious. Timaro's cuisine was excellent, but I was not sure which side to raise the armament to when comparing flavors."
To this word, Timaro stood stunned this time.
Blood draws away from his face, and his thin shoulders begin to tremble as if he were a mess.
Though perhaps realizing it, Malstein raised his cheerful voice.
"Come on, let's enjoy our tongues more. Asta, Timaro, can you share the leftover dishes with everyone?
Copy that, sir.
Both dishes are still half-witted. This would also make it possible for everyone to go.
But - so Donda-Lou spoke to the crackle with a heavy voice.
"It's Lord Marstein of Genos. I appreciate your concern, but I don't want you to cook anymore."
Malstein looks back at you "oops".
"I wonder if Lord Donda-Lou didn't like this caron dish?
"Oh. One more cut. If it's Genos' manipulation to eat, don't worry, but if it isn't, let's not"
Then three people have given their consent to it.
Graf-Zaza, and the head of Baim, and the head of Fou.
Timaro still looks a lot blue, while cutting meat just wondering if he found out.
"Hopefully, up to four out of six didn't fit your mouth?... I don't know, can you tell me where you were unhappy with this dish?
"... I just don't like eating messy meat even though it's not juice"
It's a pain in the ass, Donda-Lou discards.
"Stick with it, that's no different no matter who makes it. Even the first time I turned Asta in Fa's house, I just thought the dish was poisonous."
"I see. If you don't like soft meat, that's the only way.... So are you all for the same reason?
"The solidity of the meat doesn't matter. But if you eat this meat, your breasts get worse"
Graf-Zaza spoke for the first time with a more grumpy voice than Donda-Lou.
Baym's parents also have a big nod.
"Me too. Even in previous dishes, I often felt something disgusting. From chest to belly, it's like something's getting hot and painful."
"Hmm. I wonder if it was also some ingredient that didn't suit my body.... Which is your reason?
Staring into Malstein's eyes, which included laughter, Fow's parents slowly shook their necks sideways.
"Neither of them. I'm just sick and tired of eating all the meat with no juice, no vegetables, no poisons."
And his eyes look at Timaro with unexpected sharpness.
"Chef of Castle Town. So many vegetables are arranged on that plate, why don't you hand them out?
Timaro, who apparently hasn't recovered from Malstein's assessment yet, looks back on Fou's parents.
"This is a vegetable and vanilla to bring flavor and flavor to the meat of carons. We serve it to add colour, but if you ask me, it's like a shell out, so it's not worth eating."
"Is it still true? .. then I am not willing to eat such dishes any more. You just have to eat the people you want."
After saying so, Fou's parents laid their eyes down powerless.
"You're out of words. I apologize if I was rude."
"It doesn't extend to an apology. But I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know why you thought that."
Malstein's eyes are finally narrowing in an interesting way.
Without trying to look at you, Fou's parents shook their heads again.
"It's not enough story to take. I don't even think it's a word to say in a place like this."
"No, this is a place to open your chest collar and deepen your understanding. We find ourselves in a life too far away, so sometimes the fashion will be different. Isn't it vital that those things also be revealed without fear of misunderstandings?
Fou's parents stumbled over the table for a while before saying.
"I just... I just don't care how you waste food for the purpose of cooking delicious food. I'm not willing to eat such dishes no matter how good they taste"
"Wow. Are you saying that the practice of throwing away vegetables that have been squeezed out of flavor for steaming is not in keeping with your intentions?...... O Timaro, Lord Berdu-Fow has said this, but I wonder what he thinks?
From Malstein's mouth, the full name of Fowe's parents popped up that I didn't even know about, and I was supposed to be quite surprised.
Timaro shakes his head bitterly as he entrusts his parted meat to the small surnames.
"I guess I'm going to end up with a saying that the fluids are different. It's not just this dish, it takes a lot of ingredients to get the stock. There is no other ingredient that can be discarded from the flavor."
"Hmm. So what does Asta think? And was he originally an exotic cook?
"I am... right. Since living by the woods, I have tried not to waste ingredients as much as possible. I could tell right away that it was a woodland lesson."
For example, chatches squeezed to extract starch were also stir-fried or boiled and diverted to other dishes. The squeeze of a chatch that is so bossy that it no longer tastes good. But there is some way to cook it.
I can't waste a single piece of ingredient obtained with the horns and fangs of Gibba that Ai-Fa hunted for his life - that's what I've been taught to slap into my chest since my life with Ai-Fa began and I wasted some food poitane in the first few days.
Even now that I can earn my own copper coins, nothing has changed in the root part.
"I see. It is true that in the castle towns and by the woods, such fluids will also differ"
Such Malstein's words at the end, there was a few uncomfortable silences falling in the dining room.
In the meantime, the meat divided is steadily reduced, and the small names disappear outside the door.
After finishing the main dish, it is finally the finale dessert.
"It's Princess Lifreia. They preferred sweets to regular dishes."
And, as Malstein clearly stared at Refraia for the first time, he said.
Refraia nods, "Yes," as she stares into the void.
"That extraordinary obsession with Asta in Fa's house must mean that Asta is also familiar with making sweets,"
It is a very casual tone, but it was a very sword-soaking topic, touching on the sins of Refraia's past.
Graf-Zaza dazzles Lifreia with his bottom glowing eyes, and Dari-Sautti is also slightly frowning.
But Refraia just answers quietly, "Yes," after all.
"I have been told that confectionery making requires different skills and knowledge than normal cooking. Asta, you really have an instrumentation that doesn't suit your youth."
"No. To be honest, I'm not at all familiar with confectionery making. The other day and today, I relied on vague memories alone to create nothing short of surprises."
"Well, even so, if you were able to create a treat that would satisfy Princess Lifreia, then don't be surprised."
That's how Refraia liked me, which is why I'm supposed to remain closed, so it's hard to comment.
And yet, there was something I wanted to add.
"But today, I have prepared a different contribution of interest than the confectionery I served to Master Refraia. I hope you like it..."
"There is no need for Asta, who is not a Turan minister, to honor me and others."
Just for a moment - really only for a moment, while flashing her arrogance into her pale eyes, Refraia said so.
"I don't even remember being properly named to you in the first place, but I hope you can call me Lefreia, Asta."
"... I'm very sorry for your loss"
When I answered that, the last names came back.
"Thank you for waiting. This is a fuwano baked sweet made with minmi."
Timaro opens his silver crochet as he says in a voice that is slowly getting tired.
What emerged from under it was a pancake-like baked treat with a large square.
It has some moist texture and the pink minmi fruit from the place - I've used it for Refraia too, the peachy fruit shards peek into my face.
What drifts is the sweet smell of Panem honey.
While Timaro's cutting it apart, I'll get rid of the deep plate lid, too.
"This is -- uh, it's going to be a treat with chatch"
"Chatch? Can you use chatch to make sweets or something?
As I said in heaven, Polearth shouts out loud.
As a result, I nodded yes while wondering if I was dressed to be strange.
What I prepared was a chutch cake made from a single chestnut flour.
Once the chach powder has begun to solidify transparently, simmer it in water with the sugar of the jagal, pour it into as cold water as possible and coagulate it all at once, cutting it into appropriate sizes. It is like a simple version of a wasabi cake.
Seasoning is still a mixture of chatch flour, sugar and sauce with tau oil.
Both sugars are cracked, and the puffy texture is an eye-catching treat.
This wasn't Lina, who was good at making confectionery - at an early age, she was referring to a recipe for confectionery that her mother was making for me.
"Wow, it's transparent! Is this really a chat? How I messed around with that chatch makes me wonder if it wouldn't be in this shape..."
"We use powder that squeezes out the juice from the chatch and dries it. That's how purified chatch powder can be treated in the same way as fuwano powder. It can also be used for baked confectionery, but I adopted this contribution today"
"Deep-fried Giba Dragon Field" was decided as the main dish, and "Tau Oil-tailored Giba Soup" would also be fairly accurate. Then I wondered if it should be unified in Japanese style.
Such dedication would mean nothing to the people of this world, but I couldn't help but feel like closing the doughnuts and hot cakes with okonomiyaki, cold shabu salad, fried dragon fields, and when.
Also, I couldn't imagine the hunters by the woods seeking sweet treats, etc., so I wondered if I could at least entertain them with texture.
And this is really a push of my discretionary image - Japanese-style confectionery suits strong hunters like Donda-Lou and Graf-Zaza better than Western-style confectionery! There were also thoughts.
"Uhm, this is - it tastes really strange"
Mulstein, who first ate my prepared treat, "Misato Filled Chutch Cake," gave a truly delightful voice.
"All of Asta's dishes were made in strange ways, but this confection seems to be out of group among them. This is an exotic flavour that can be regarded as exotic."
I think it's a different world, not an exotic one, and I say, "I'm afraid," and I say, "I'm afraid."
In the meantime, Baim's parents were black-and-white with their eyes saying, "What is this dish?"
"Is this what's made of chatch? This is kind of - no, it tastes like nothing."
"Yes. In the first place, there is no such thing as sugar in the woodland or in the boarding town, is there? Therefore, I don't think the people by the woods had the habit of eating sweets, nor did they have the knowledge that such food exists in this world. So I wasn't at all sure if you'd like to have all this... how about that?
"Hmmm..."
"In my birthplace, children and women in particular preferred something called sweet confectionery."
By the woods, only prototypes without sugar could be rubbed.
Still, Rimi-Lou and others were very interesting about this texture, but today, when I first mouthed the finished chatch cake - it wasn't very touching, it was about to flip.
So after all, even in this world, something called sweet confectionery may be preferred by women and children.
Or so I thought, Baym's parents made her lips squeeze in a grumpy way.
"... is this the dish that women and toddlers prefer?
"Yeah, well, it was in my own hometown. Of course, I don't think many men or elderly people preferred sweets."
"... then you wouldn't be ashamed if the men liked you?
"Shame? Yeah, it's never shameful"
"... well," said Baym's parents, dragging what was left of the wood plate into his mouth.
