My Villainous Wife

Chapter 177 - Her Innocent Diversion

Alarm took over their bodies as the timer in the bomb changed. How could this be? How could it skip five minutes out of nowhere?

And more importantly, they're losing time.

Looking at each other, Yan Xiaoran clearly mirrored the grimness of the situation in Alexander's eyes. They both know that there was no time to lose now.

Alexander fished his phone out of his pocket and starting dialing for the numbers of his brothers.

Once the call connected, he wasted no time as he spoke, "Stop what you're doing and go to the door! We need to evacuate this place in two minutes!"

The commanding tone in his voice made Yan Xiaoran flinch. It was too powerful that even if it wasn't directed to her, she could feel it scraping through her bones.

"What happened?" Lucas'voice sounded from the other end of the phone.

Alexander said, "The time skipped five minutes. Now, get yourselves here before the bombs explode!"

The phone turned silent as the severity of the situation showered Lucas. He didn't even have the time to hang up on the call as he dashes to where Reo was still looking for the remaining bombs.

When Lucas found him, Reo was about to flip another table next to three guests.

Grabbing his arm, Lucas told him, "We need to go to Brother Jin. We don't have time left to search for the bombs!"

When Reo heard that, his eyebrows drew together as he spat a string of curses that could make his ancestor twist and come out of their graves.

Lucas sighed. He also wanted to curse, but since Reo was doing it twice, a person could curse in a year. Out of the brothers, Reo was the most unrestrained one. He didn't care about how others would look at him when he cursed out loud and destroyed his handsome appearance because of this.

In any case, no one could really say anything about him because the family Reo comes from was powerful and respected by a lot of people.

At this time, Jin Woo also received the call and bit his lips. His handsome face twisted into irritation as his gentleness disappears. How he wished he could beat Jack for planting bombs in the party!

Speaking of which...

Where is that bastard?

"If you scream for help or even try to move a muscle to signal anyone, I will empty the gun and fill your body with a hole.

"We don't want that to happen. Now, be a good boy."

Adam couldn't even nod since he was ordered not to move a muscle. He could only whimper softly, wishing that someone could hear his plea that someone would save him from death.

Jack Winter was satisfied with his reaction and smirked wildly. It has been a while since he was able to see someone shake in fear in front of him.

More than four years ago, he was sent to prison because he was stabbed by one of his brothers. His sins were brought to light, and everyone who knew him started to avoid him like the plague. At first, he was complacent and relaxed, knowing that even the law couldn't touch him because of his family, but he was wrong.

Oh, how he was so wrong.

That day his scandals and misdeeds were all pulled out behind the curtain, the Winter family might not have said anything since they weren't any better than Jack, but they also didn't stop his brother, Joseph Winter, from using this chance to throw him behind bars.

Jack was sent to the police station to be questioned, and all the evidence was brought in front of him. The following week, he was sent to court, and the hearing finished so quickly, and he was sentenced to life imprisonment and on death row.

However, a month before his predestined execution by lethal injection, a person came to him and helped him escape from that hellhole. He was able to avoid persecution by police through this person's help. And now, he was repaying this person's favor by doing this.

However, Jack didn't know that the person who saved him and used him to kill Adam tonight had no plans to let him go. He inserted an explosive microchip inside Jack's neck and would go off any moment after midnight.

At the same time, another person was aiming for Jack.

'Bump'

Jack felt someone bumping into his back. He whipped his head behind him and saw a helpless young woman standing there.

"I'm sorry. It's so dark without the lights on, and so, I couldn't see you, brother." Yan Xiaoran, the only girl in the group, has already reached Jack Winters without anyone stopping her.

Jack frowned at the sight of her and grunted. But because he didn't want to raise any suspicion in their way, he decided to say, "It's alright. I also didn't see you coming from behind."

It was true. Jack didn't feel this woman approaching behind him.

Jack was trained in Martial Arts since he was young and could even beat 20 grown men. Sensing someone walking behind him should be easy. And yet, he didn't sense her at all.

Jack Winter narrowed his eyes at Yan Xiaoran and tried to see if this young woman was a villain trying to stop him from his job. But Yan Xiaoran only showed an innocent face, much like a newborn baby's eyes staring back at a Tiger.

"Look outside, everyone! There's something flying there!" She shouted loudly and pointed outside.

Several heads turned to look at where she was pointing at. Even both Adam and Jack were played into looking in that direction.

Suddenly, Jack, who was distracted by Yan Xiaoran's sudden diversion tactic, felt something hit his neck and darkness swallowed his sight.

Before he completely fell unconscious, Yan Xiaoran smilingly said, "You should never let anyone stand behind your back, Jack."
