Second Reality

32 Visiting and A Merchan

They screamed as they both fell downwards to the ground. Evangeline screamed at me, "Master! Why did you jump off the ledge from such a height? At this height people could very will die!" Meanwhile Myla was continuously screaming, "AHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

I ignore the screaming Myla and respond with a confused face to Evangeline. "What do you mean Evangeline? This is how I got down the last time." Evangeline gave me a flabbergasted face, "Hahaha! Master I thought we came to the edge to have a view before heading to your families teleporter. It seems my assumption was completely wrong."

This time my face turns a little red and I look away, "I didn't want to use the teleporter." No way in hell would I admit I didn't know about a family teleporter. How would I know about something like that? In fact how does she know about it? She must've scouted my families estate without me knowing. "How did you know about the teleporter?"

Evangeline gives me a smile while we hear screaming in the background, "I scanned the environment of my master to gauge the level of danger my master is at any one time." I stare at her. Fair enough. Anyways Myla sure can scream for a long while.

"Myla stop screaming we will be fine. This is the way we came up remember?" As we continuously fell downward at a high speed Myla turns to me, "AHH! G-going up and f-falling down are two different things! AHH!" I wrap my tail around Myla and Evangeline, "Do you really think I would let you guys get hurt?"

Myla stops screaming and looks at me blushing a little, "N-no." She then buries her face into my chest. Evangeline stares into my eyes, "My, my isn't master becoming very smooth? A girl could fall in love." I stare at Evangeline with a confused head. Did I say something odd? Well whatever I don't mind.

After a little while of conversing with each other we finally reach the ground. I activate my aura and kick of the rock cliff behind me shifting my momentum forward and run along some branches towards the village. I then jump to the ground because I sure as hell don't want to carry the both of them there. Evangeline like being out in her physical form instead of staying inside my body and I just plainly don't feel like carrying either of the two.

"We're here."

They both look around then at me. Myla is the first to speak, "What do you mean? We are in a forest not the village."

"Myla is correct I agree with her statement master. This is not a destination." She crosses her arms pushing her developing breast up and closes her eyes shaking her head.

"I meant we reached the floor. Did you guys think I would carry you to the village?" I slightly tilt my head while looking at them.

They both look at each other then in perfect harmony say, "Yes!" I bonk them both on the head and the grab their heads, "Ow!"

"No. I sure as hell won't." I look away from them and I hear them speak again, "Uhn, Sentan is getting lazy Eva." "Un, Master is becoming lazy." My face twitches and we start walking towards the village.

"Evangeline scan the pathway towards the village and verify if we have an obstacles." I command as being prepared is a great thing. "Yes master." She materializes a small ball and tosses it into the air. It creates a unnoticeable blue scan wave then returns to Evangeline.

"There are 200 ordinary beast, 2 stronger than average beast, and 1 Mortal Divine combatant from here towards the village. There are no obstacles from here toward the village." I smile great the Mortal Divine Combatant could either be Myla's mother or a strong beast. Either way it is good practice for Myla or an early meet up with her mother.

Heading towards the village we spot the Mortal stage Divine Combatant and it is a giant wolf. It starts growling at us and gets ready to pounce. "Myla it is time for some good practice for you. Get rid of it." Myla steps forward. "Y-yes!" She cast a physical enhancement and defensive barrier on herself before engaging the giant wolf.

The wolf seems to have become tired of waiting and pounced towards Myla as it noticed she was it's opponent. Myla ran towards it and dodged it. She used its momentum to push it into a tree while casting a fire hands spell. A burning flesh smell diffuses into the air at the giant wolf crashes into a tree and yelps in pain from Myla's hands. Its anger rises and turns around but by that time Myla has already prepared the next spell. "Fire beam!" A small 3 inch flash of fire burst forth from Myla's hand. Almost like an ironman attack except there is a small ball of concentrated fire floating a few millimeters from her palm.

That is pretty cool. I am totally gonna make use of that spell when I learn some magic.

The fire beam tears right through the giant wolf as if its fur, flesh, and bones were butter. Myla's attack hit the giant wolf near its heart but she missed it and only burned its lungs. It staggers around and leans on a tree spitting blood from its mouth and struggling to breath. You can smell the cooked meat of the giant wolf. "Finish it Myla or it will suffer and then die of suffocation." Myla panics slightly then starts to cast another spell.

The giant wolf seems to be making a final effort to bring down Myla with it. I leaps towards her and Myla's fireball spell misses its target. It nears her throat before Myla is able to cast another spell and I can see Myla becoming stiffer. "Sigh." She won't make it.

Just as the giant wolf is about to clamp down on her throat I appear in behind Myla and thrust my hand forward propping its mouth open with my pinky and thumb. "You hesitated. In a life a death struggle you must finish your opponent or they will finish you even if it seems like an assured victory. I hope you learn not to hesitate, these are not the training dummies they won't stop and I won't alway be there to save you." Myla looks pale and nods her head. "Un." I pull the giant wolf away from Mylas throat. "As for you, little ant, though it was not your fault for being in our way I will not tolerate the threat you became to my ally. You should have extended your neck to be freely killed." A dark aura exploded from me and then I ripped the giant wolf's head off.

I looked at the head for a little bit. If I could make this into one of those anime hat type things wouldn't it be super cool? Hell yeah! I store it into my separate dimension preparing for future things. As I smile while storing the head Evangeline just stares at me. She rubs her neck and backs a few steps away. Huh? what's wrong with her? I look toward Myla but she makes the same gesture. Again in Harmony they stare at me, "Sentan the beheader."

"What?" I look at them oddly and they stare laughing. I have no idea what is going on but okay.

Once we reach the village's outer edges I can spot the differences from two years ago. The village is a little bigger than before and there is a tall three story stone building on the other end of the village. I also spot a lot of unfamiliar faces and a lot of the same orphaned children and adults from back then.

As we approach the old villagers spot us and run somewhere while the children ran towards us, "Saint Sentan! Myla!" They all surround us and they all hug Myla all reminiscing and laughing. I smile while watching this.

Soon enough I see Chief Theodore and Cleo walking towards us. They are both smiling as they see their daughter now a bigger and more developed. Cleo couldn't hold it anymore and ran to hug her reunited daughter. Soon Chief Theodore does the same and they share a familial moment before the Chief come towards me and smiles, "Saint Sentan welcome back to our humble village." He bows slightly.

"Your village seems to have developed more compared to before. You even have a stone building here now." Chief Theodore nods and smiles, "You are correct we have developed pretty well in these two years. It is due to a merchant arriving here shortly after you left. Speaking on that topic he was looking for something."

Considering he is still here then he is probably still searching, there isn't anything worth investing into this village at that point in time. "Of course he choose to stay after the occasional visit from Prince Zero of the Xenon Empire. Of course they new high density of energy has caused a lot of natural treasures to pop up around this area."

Prince Zero of the Xenon Empire? New high density energy? Speaking of that the energy is noticeably higher than it was before. No wonder we ran into a wild Mortal stage divine combatant. "When did the energy density change?"

Chief seemed to contemplate for a little, "Around the time you came around. It is especially high where the old tribute area was. We don't know the cause and are just grateful for this blessing."

I shudder a little. Could the revive caused massive changes to this environment? I'll put that aside for now. There isn't really anything I can do about it and it seems there are no cons to it so I'll leave it be. "What about the Merchant? What can you tell me about him?"

Chief Theodore looks at me then looks downwards. "He is young and very powerful. He could be your match in strength. He hasn't revealed his strength but hints of strength exude from him. Cleo senses his strength. I cannot even though I have reached the initial stage and formally stepped into the Mortal Divine Combatant stage." He shake his head. "You should meet him Saint Sentan. Perhaps you could become acquainted."

"Okay, I shall. Let's go." Chief Theodore looks a little surprised. "Now?"

"Yes, I'll leave Myla here with Cleo to catch up let's go meet my match in strength and perhaps he has something I could be interested in." Let's check this young merchant out.
