Cultivation Through Artifacts

Chapter 381 - Cube Tower

The construction in front of the three was by no means small, could be said massively towering!

It was like a huge pillar of a tower which had a height of several hundreds of meters, almost as tall as the pillar Khal once invaded and cleared back in the First Realm. However, in contrast to that tower which had a circular shape, this one was cuboid!

Furthermore, to make its already bizarre appearance even weirder, the tower was separated into 10 parts, each part having the shape of a cube but at the same time having a smaller size the higher they were placed!

"I have never seen such a weird dungeon ever before," Khal mumbled even though the number of dungeons he has ever seen in his life was merely one!

"I have seen about a hundred dungeons and cleared at least half of them, but indeed, this is my first time seeing one with an appearance like this." Darla nodded, a rarely seen shocked complexion visible on her usually cold face.

Even Senior Lin felt stupefied despite seeing photos and pictures about the dungeon.

"Well, things are usually different in person than from videos and photos. The feelings such a sight can give one simply cannot be given through a mere picture." Senior Lin said before she shifted her eyes at the bottom of the tower where other beings were already waiting while chatting with each other.

Khal looked at the groups of different beings and after a little bit of thinking, he concluded that there were about 25 Limit Breaker and 5 Ascender present, each hailing from different races.

Although Khal knew these existences presented no threat to him with his current strength, for some reason he couldn't help but feel slightly excited to see what would happen if all these creatures suddenly would decide to attack him.

Just the mere thoughts of several tens of powerful beings attacking him with different powers at the same time made the blood in Khal's body start to boil from sheer excitement and hope that things would go wrong for the first time.

[I slowly can't choose if you either start to go crazy or simply you become extremely arrogant...]

'Do I?' Khal asked with a frown and shrugged, 'I don't know. I just simply wish to push my limits finally.'

Ever since he met with Old Eye and Hale back in the Zero Realm, two existences that possessed godly powers and techniques, Khal realized just how weak and pathetic he really was before extremely powerful beings.

Until this very moment, Khal didn't really meet with any obstacles or difficulty throughout his cultivation path as his bracelet allowed him to possess different powers and grow in a way that no one else could imitate even if they tried!

Hence, his thirst for challenge, especially after he tasted the real essence of what it meant to be in a die or live situation seemed to awaken a hidden desire inside him; the desire to become even stronger than he currently was!

And for that to happen, the only way was to fight powerful enemies, even several at the same time if he needed to!

"Why are you grinning like an idiot? You look like a creep."

Upon hearing Darla's voice Khal realized that he really was grinning like an idiot hence quickly coughed twice and said, "We should get going. It seems they are only waiting for us."

Senior Lin and Darla watched Khal's walking figure with confused looks but as they felt it was not worth the energy to think about what had just happened or what went through Khal's head to make him smile like a retard, they shook their heads helplessly and began to follow him.

"Finally, I thought you would never come." a humanoid creature that had green skin and had a huge shell behind his back, representing a huge turtle walked before Senior Lin before his gaze fell on Khal's and Darla's figure; after seeing the latter, his expression changed tremendously but quickly turned back to normal, almost as if nothing happened just now.

"Senior Du, I apologize for being late, I have no excuse." Senior Lin who was considered a woman with pride and a bit of arrogance, for the first time in a long time bowed.

"Just make sure this won't happen again in the future." Senior Du sighed helplessly and looked at Khal, "So he is the one?"

"Yes." Senior Lin nodded and quickly continued, "He is an exceedingly outstanding individual of my sect. I am pretty sure with him on your side, you won't need to worry about anything in the slightest."

Senior Du frowned when he heard Senior Lin's words but although obviously had opposing opinions about that declaration he decided not to comment on the matter.

Or at least he didn't but a creature with a similar appearance to Senior Du did, even showing his disgust and hatred toward Khal on his face as clearly as bright daylight!

"Master Du, I still can't believe you allowed this two trash to help us. If you ask me, they will be more of a hindrance than assistance!" the creature called Vern and who emitted an aura of a peak Limit Breaker sneered with disdain as his eyes tared coldly at Khal and Senior Lin.

"Disciple Vern, hold your tongue if you don't wish me to tear it out for you." Senior Du's complexion turned terrifyingly chilly, his eyes turning entirely ink-black in a flash!

Despite having the same views and beliefs as Vern, Senior Du still didn't give voice to those thoughts of his as he felt it was a huge disrespect to belittle a race just because they were misfortune enough to possess weaker strength than them.

That is why if he ever heard someone expressing foul words toward races such as the Human Race, let it be a completely unknown individual he has just met or someone who he knew since years Senior Du won't tolerate such disrespect, especially if that someone was his own disciple!

Vern seeing how his master turned angry and how he was about to use his Blessing on him shrunk his head in fear and with an awkward cough quickly walked away, not daring to linger around even a second longer!
