My Dragon

CH 29

When they arrived at the hospital, Nan HuaiLin asked, “What department should I register for?”

Fei Cheng thought about it and said, “Plastic surgery.”

So they went to the plastic surgery department, queued for twenty minutes, then the two of them entered the doctor’s office together. The female doctor’s eyes lit up as soon as she saw the two handsome men enter, and a smile graced her face.

After they sat down, Nan HuaiLin didn’t know how to describe his condition, so he looked at Fei Cheng sitting next to him for help.

Fei Cheng then said, “Doctor, it’s like this. My friend’s face has suddenly become beautiful, either by plastic surgery or by free growth. I suspect that he has developed a disease, so I brought him here to consult.”

The female doctor, “..”

The smile on her face fell off, and her eyes seemed to say, You shouldn’t come to plastic surgery, you should go to psychiatry.

To prove his words, Fei Cheng took out his cell phone, then went to the female doctor to show her the photos in the album. “Here. He looked like this two months ago,” as he reached out and lifted Nan HuaiLin’s chin. “And now he looks like this. Isn’t it a big change? “

The female doctor looked at the photo on Fei Cheng’s phone.

It was a couple’s photo in bed. One was sleeping, cat-like, as he lay in the arms of the other, while the other was holding up the phone to take pictures as he smiled like a flower.

So these two were a pair. MMP1.

The female doctor was in a very complicated mood. The handsome man was taken by the handsome man, and her heart was stuffed to infinity.

She sighed silently, then looked at the photo and looked at the real person. When she compared the two, the change was quite big, although they were indeed the same person, and his face had no trace of plastic surgery.

She looked up at Fei Cheng. “So you don’t like how your boyfriend looks?”

“I’m not his boyfriend,” Nan HuaiLin denied. “We’re just friends.” He looked at Fei Cheng. “Why do you have my picture in your phone? Let me see. What kind of picture is it?”

Fei Cheng didn’t answer, just silently put the phone in his pocket, walked back to Nan HuaiLin and sat down. He asked, “Doctor, what the hell is going on here?”

The female doctor said, “Some people are born with developmental delays, and it is possible that they are still developing at the age of thirty. I suggest you go for a full body checkup to see if there are any abnormalities.”

Nan HuaiLin did not want to, but Fei Cheng insisted, so he had to do it.

After a lot of running around, it was 1:00 p.m. by the time the physical examination was over, and the results would not be available until three days later.

Nan HuaiLin was starving when they left the hospital so the two went straight to a restaurant.

While they were waiting for the food to be served, Nan HuaiLin asked, “By the way, is my hometown buddy going to play a male character in Chasing New Dreams?”

Fei Cheng hummed and said, “I don’t know.”

Nan HuaiLin took out his phone. “I’ll ask him.”

Fei Cheng said, “The second male.”

“Great.” Nan HuaiLin put down the phone. “Then when will the shooting start?”

Fei Cheng said, “In the middle of August.”

In the middle of August, Star Country would already be finished, so it was just right.

“We’ll shoot in Beijing, so you won’t have to go anywhere else.” Fei Cheng said. “And the web drama shooting cycle is short. Two months is enough. Just before it gets cold.”

“That’s good,” Nan HuaiLin said.

He suddenly noticed that the T-shirt Fei Cheng was wearing was the same one he had bought for him earlier. A white T with a simple design, and a cute print on the chest of a cartoon rabbit plucking a carrot.

“By the way,” Nan HuaiLin suddenly remembered the photo. “How can you have my photo on your phone? I’ve never posted a selfie in my circle of friends.”

“I took it secretly.” Fei Cheng replied with a straight face.

Nan HuaiLin held out his hand. “Let me see.”

“No.” Fei Cheng flatly refused.

Nan HuaiLin, “..”

Fei Cheng looked at him. “Are you angry?”

Nan HuaiLin laughed. “There’s nothing to be angry about.”

As he was talking, Fei Cheng’s cell phone rang.

“You’re done? I’m having dinner with Little Lin-zi. I’ll send you the location, you can come directly.” He hung up the phone and said, “Shen Chong will come over later.”

Nan HuaiLin nodded. “Let’s add a few dishes.”

Fei Cheng then called the waiter and added several dishes.

Shen Chong arrived just in time for the dishes to be served.

Once Shen Chong was seated, Fei Cheng said with a disgusted look, “Damn you stink. The flies are smoked by you.”

“I just got off the stage and came over. I didn’t even get a shower, so of course I smell.” Shen Chong drank two mouthfuls of water. “You try wearing ancient costumes in the heat to shoot a half day scene. Even if you walk two steps you’ll sweat, it’s so damn hot. After this shoot, I will never wear another ancient costume. It’s too fucking painful.”

The words were said to Fei Cheng, but Shen Chong’s eyes were peeking at Nan HuaiLin’s face.

Nan HuaiLin was sending a WeChat message to He DuanYang, so he didn’t notice, but Fei Cheng noticed, and kicked Shen Chong under the table. He said in a low voice, “Hm?”

Shen Chong laughed awkwardly, and picked up his phone to send a WeChat to Fei Cheng. [Letting me look twice won’t cause him to lose a piece of flesh. What’s the matter with you?]

Fei Cheng, [To the point!]

Shen Chong, [You don’t think your future wife likes his new face? Too damn good-looking. I was conquered by him.]

Fei Cheng back, [You dare to hit on him, and I will make you kneel down and sing. Do you believe it or not?]

Shen Chong, [Am I that kind of person? I just purely appreciate him. I didn’t want to do anything.]

Fei Cheng, [You said you didn’t want to do anything but your mind is already fantasizing!]

Nan HuaiLin finished sending his WeChat to He DuanYang. When he looked up, he saw the other two people were also typing on their phones, and Fei Cheng looked angry.

“Let’s eat,” he said. “The food must be getting cold.”

Fei Cheng and Shen Chong put down their phones at the same time, grabbed their chopsticks and started eating.

Having eaten and drunk enough, Shen Chong went back to the group to shoot while Fei Cheng and Nan HuaiLin went back to the hotel.

The restaurant wasn’t far from the hotel, so the two of them walked back. The sun had a burning temperature, and the asphalt road looked like it might melt.

“It would be nice if it rained,” Nan HuaiLin sighed casually. “It’s too hot.”

No sooner had the words left his mouth than he heard Fei Cheng’s “Ouch.” Nan HuaiLin turned his head, and saw him with a pained expression as he held holding his stomach with one hand.

“My stomach hurts. I have to go to the toilet. You stand here and wait for me.” After he said that, he covered his stomach and ran away.

Nan HuaiLin walked to a tree for shade. He was bored, so he clicked on Weibo, which he hadn’t visited in two months.

When he clicked into his own page, he found that the number of followers had risen to 50,000. Suddenly, he wanted to try to see if he would still be scolded for tweeting now, so he took a picture of the blue sky and white clouds with the phrase “want a downpour” and sent it out.

The tweet had just been sent out, and suddenly the wind was blowing. When he looked up, the blue sky, which had just been blazing with sunshine, had dark clouds rolling in that covered the sky in the blink of an eye. Then, there was the faint sound of thunder.

Nan HuaiLin, “..”

He looked down at the tweet he had just sent out, and thought he should make a wish from time to time. It was too spiritual. When he clicked on the comment section, he had already harvested a dozen unpleasant tirades.

These people were really persistent, why weren’t they using this perseverance to do something in reality?

Nan HuaiLin laughed it off, and didn’t bother to delete the tweets. He just closed the app.

After he waited for a while, Fei Cheng returned. He was panting and holding a transparent umbrella.

“Is your stomach feeling better?” Nan HuaiLin asked.

Fei Cheng nodded. His breath was ragged, as he sweated profusely.

Nan HuaiLin took out two tissues from the restaurant, and handed them to Fei Cheng to wipe his sweat. “Just walk back slowly. Why are you running?”

Fei Cheng raised the umbrella in his hand and said, as he continued to pant, “I saw it was going to rain. I was afraid you would get caught in the rain, so I ran here.”

Nan HuaiLin had a choking feeling in his chest, like his heart was being rubbed by an invisible hand. He didn’t dare look at Fei Cheng, so he lowered his head and said, “Let’s go.” Then he turned around, and walked away first.

Fei Cheng took two steps to catch up with him, opened his umbrella and raised it over them.

The sound of rain hitting the surface of the umbrella was audible immediately. It became more urgent and dense, as the downpour suddenly arrived.

Fei Cheng held the umbrella with one hand and put the other around Nan HuaiLin’s shoulder, so that he half-embraced him, as he said with a smile, “Stay close to me. Don’t get wet.”

Nan HuaiLin let Fei Cheng hold him, while his heart was beating wildly.

He looked up, and saw that the umbrella was tilted towards him. Half of Fei Cheng’s body was exposed to the rain. He was already soaked through. His T-shirt clung to his flesh and outlined his strong pectoral muscles.

Nan HuaiLin silently pushed the umbrella towards him, but Fei Cheng didn’t give in and tilted it over again.

The world was very noisy, as the sound of wind and rain clattered.

The world was so quiet, as he listened to his own heartbeat as it fluttered.

Say something.

Say something quick.

“By the way,” Nan HuaiLin said. “You didn’t kill my potted plant, did you?”

“Underestimating people, aren’t you?” Fei Cheng smiled and said. “It’s alive and well. It even bloomed two days ago.”

“I’m not. I got it from a friend of mine, so I haven’t had it long.” Nan HuaiLin said. “I didn’t even know it would bloom. That’s amazing.”

Fei Cheng said, “You must not even know what that potted plant is, right?”

Nan HuaLin, “Haha. You saw right through me.”

Fei Cheng said, “It’s a Brazilian Dragon Bone. 2 It can grow up to four or five meters.”

“What an imposing name,” Nan HuaiLin said. “I got it because it looked like a cactus and it looked good to keep. I didn’t even ask what it was called.”

The rain was getting heavier and heavier, but the hotel was close by.

Nan HuaiLin asked, “When are you leaving?”

Fei Cheng said, “Tomorrow.”

Nan HuaiLin asked again, “Have you booked a room yet?”

“No,” Fei Cheng said. “I’ll do it later.”

When they arrived at the hotel, Nan HuaiLin accompanied Fei Cheng to the front desk to book a room.

The receptionist said, “Sorry, it’s full. There’s no room available.”

Nan HuaiLin, “..”

Fei Cheng looked at him. “It’s raining so hard, you wouldn’t make me run out to find a hotel again, right?”

What else could Nan HuaiLin say? He sighed in his heart, and said, “If you don’t mind, you can stay with me.”

A long night, a lonely man in the same room, and Fei Cheng still thinking about him in that way. Nan HuaiLin already had a feeling that the road ahead was dangerous.

Fei Cheng wasn’t about to tell Nan HuaiLin that he had booked all the 30-odd rooms in the hotel in order to stay with him.
