Magicraft Meister

"Reiko!"

Jin's cry rang out.

On the side where Reiko fell was a sheer cliff, with a drop of more than 100 meters.

Giggles slowly approaches Jin and the others.

"I didn't think you could win, Reiko!"

Reinhardt looks blue.

"You son of a b*tc*, my Reiko!"

Jin is about to fire a laser at maximum power.

"I'm sorry, father. I was careless."

Reiko jumped over the cliff and came back.

Jin stopped himself from releasing the magic,

Reiko! Are you all right?

he asks worriedly. Reiko waves her hands,

"Yes, nothing is broken.

She reassured Jin with a wave of her hands.

"Father, could you leave that to me?"

Reiko looked angry as she stood in front of Jin.

"I've caused your father worry, even for a moment. I will take responsibility for that."

She said this and ran out of the room without waiting for Jin's reply. Jin ran toward her back,

"Reiko! Do whatever you want! But this time, don't lose!

He called out to her.

Reiko, receiving Jin's encouragement, increased the output of the ether converter to 40 percent.

The aether converter became like a small bullet and hit Gigarth's torso. Gigarth was knocked down by the impact.

"Oh, you did it?"

Reinhardt let out a small cheer, but Gigarth was clutching Reiko with both his arms.

Compared to his physique, Gigarth's arms are large and thick. His hands are proportionally large, and Reiko's small body easily fits into them.

And Gigarth, while strengthening himself with the magical power he had sucked out of Reiko, was trying to clamp down on her and destroy her.

A creaking sound comes from Reiko, or from Gigarth.

"Reiko!

Reiko turns around and smiles once at Jin's cry. As if to say, "Nothing to worry about.

Then Reiko turned up the output of the ether converter to 80 percent.

"What?"

Reinhardt's voice came out as if he was puzzled.

It was as it should be, Gigarth's surroundings appeared to be slightly luminous. This is a side effect of the tremendous amount of free magical element (ether) being converted into magical element (mana).

The characteristic of Gigarth is that it takes in external magical elements (mana), converts them into magical power in a magical power furnace (mana driver), and uses them as its own energy.

Naturally, there is an upper limit. It is determined by the capacity of the mana driver.

Now, Reiko's ether converter is in full operation to supply mana to both Reiko and Gigarth.

"Do you still have room? How about this ......!"

Reiko finally increased the output of the ether converter to 100%.

Gigarth tightened his grip on Reiko even more.

"Can you withstand this? Then!"

Reiko increased the output of the Aether Converter to 110%, then 120%, and so on.

This is a rough technique because she trusts Jin and his technique completely.

130 percent, 140 percent.

There is a safety factor for machinery and structures.

The reason why a truck with a loading capacity of 10 tons does not break even if it is loaded with 12 tons is because a safety factor of 1 or more is taken into account.

In the case of a design with no margin, the safety factor is small, and in the case of a design with a margin, the safety factor can be large. There is also the cost factor.

Then, how was Reiko?

Reiko, the beloved daughter that Jin poured his heart and soul into, was made using the world's best materials and processing methods, and her design was based on the work of the previous generation of Magecraft Meister, Adriana Barbora Zetsi.

Gigarth, on the other hand, is a mass-produced prototype made in a hurry for the war against the demon tribe.

Reiko is not inferior in any way in terms of perfection, robustness, or reliability. There was no way that the beloved daughter of the MagiCraft Meister, a magical engineer, could be defeated by a defective mass-produced product.

At least that's what Reiko believed.

One hundred and fifty percent, one hundred and sixty percent.

Gigarth's rocky body heated up. The mana driver had exceeded its limit.

170 percent, 180 percent.

Gigarth and Reiko's surroundings are glaringly luminous. The excess energy from the conversion of free magical element (ether) into magical element (mana) is all that's left.

"Hey, Jin, is Reiko going to be all right?

Reinhardt, who was watching, looked worried. Jin himself is worried to death. But he believes in the smile that Reiko showed him earlier and just watches her.

190 percent.

There was a thud.

Two hundred percent.

Something shattered inside Giggarth. At the same time, its body crumbles to mere rock debris. There is no more luminescence.

Reiko lowers the output to its normal level of five percent, and brushes the dust off her body.

She then bowed to Jin,

"I'm sorry for worrying you," she said.

She then bowed to Jin and said, "I'm sorry for worrying you. Jin ran to Reiko and said

"Reiko! Are you all right? Are you hurt anywhere?

she asked breathlessly.

"Yes. Yes, I'm fine. ...... father, I am an automaton, so please say "malfunction" or "damage", not "injury".

Reiko replies. To Reiko, Jin said,

"Idiot, I told you before that you are my daughter. So it's okay if you're injured.

"Yes, thank you."

Reinhardt watched this exchange in silence,

"Jin, Reiko, let's go home. I'm sure Erza is worried about you.

Jin agreed. Jin agreed.

"Okay. Reiko, do you think there is anything left of Gigarth's nucleus?

"I'll check."

Reiko immediately walked over to the rocky debris that used to be Gigarth and dug around, and soon seemed to have found something.

"Father, this is all I found."

He held out a piece of magecrystal.

"Of course, that's what happens when that much mana flows into the body, isn't it?"

Jin muttered to himself as he held about three small pieces in his hands.

* * * *

A piece of rock fell from near the top of the mountain, which he was staring at with concern.

"Are you ...... fighting?"

Erza clasped her hands tightly folded in front of her chest.

Then a strange luminous phenomenon enveloped the area near the summit she was staring at.

"Is that ...... magic power?"

How much magic power does it have to emit light that bright? Erza's complexion turned paper white with anxiety and worry.

However, the unusual phenomenon did not occur again, and Elsa, who had no way of knowing what had happened, spent a stomach-churning time.

However, just as the sun was about to reach the mid-sky, she heard the long-awaited footsteps.

"They're back!"

Elsa jumps out of the carriage. Claude, the butler, is waiting outside to greet his master, Reinhardt.

"Jin-kun, Rai-brother..."

Erza frowns when she sees them and Reiko. Jin and Reinhardt were both injured.

Jin's palms were covered in blood, and Reinhardt's knees were bleeding.

"Were they strong opponents after all?"

Erza asked worriedly, to which Reinhard replied with a smile.

"Yes, he was a strong opponent. But you don't have to worry anymore. Reiko defeated him."

Reiko had not disappeared, but was still by Jin's side.

"But you're hurt like that..."

Erza pointed out, and Jin laughed and said.

"Oh, we both fell down when we were coming down from the mountain. Our walking sticks and water fell down somewhere.

Elsa's face contorted as she explained.

"Idiot! I'm so glad you two are okay."

Then she begins to weep profusely. Jin, whose palms are covered in blood, refrains from touching Erza, so Reinhardt hugs her and comforts her.

"I'm sorry for worrying you. Now that you're back like this, don't cry."

Reinhardt soothed Erza with these words for a while.

Needless to say, after washing her wounds with water, Erza's healing magic healed her injuries.
