Getting to the basement, I hear and see different monsters in cages stacked up upon each other. Although some of them were covered in sheets, I could tell what was behind using [B. Energy Detection].
Most of the cages had monsters, while I could sense some 1 Demi-Humans and a 18 Humans trapped in cages.
Shomei:"There's not that many humans here, and there's only 1 Demi-Human here"
Merchant:"Impressive. Although I will admit that we are low on human slaves, I still believe that they'll be of interest"
Uncovering a large cage, I could see 6 maids who were gaged and tied up trapped in the cage.
All of the maids were beautiful in there own way. Surprisingly, none of the maids were begging or crying for help. The maids looked like they haven't fully gave up and still had determined in their eyes.
Merchant:"These maids were taken from when we raided and kidnaped a carriage belonging to low level noble lady and her daughter.
These maids were the attendants and personnel guards of the noble lady and her daughter.
Luckily for us, most maids that are employed by nobles are pure so that we don't need to do a thorough check on them. Another added nice bonus is that since these maids also acted like guards, all of them have some kinda combat training"
Shomei:"So I assume that the other humans here are the other guards of the noble ladies and the nobles themself"
Merchant:"Yes. Although you can look at the guards, the nobles will be moved and auctioned off in 22 days at Lanercoast if you want to participate in the bidding"
Shomei:"When will you be moving them?"
Merchant:"Tomorrow"
Shomei:"Hmmm... can I see the guards"
Merchant:"Of course, right this way sir"
Following the merchant, I confirm we're the nobles are at. The nobles are currently locked up in a room farther in the basement.
Uncovering another cage, Merchant:"Here they are, what do you think?"
Looking into the cage, I see 7 beautiful girls also gaged and tied up. What's different about these girls were that they were wearing rags.
Although they didn't look like guards with their armor and weapons, I could see that some of them had developed muscles.
Looking at there statues, I saw that they were around level 180-240. 3 of them were sword welders, 2 were archers, and the last one was a mage.
Shomei:"Isn't there 18 humans? I saw 6 mains, 7 guards, and there is 2 nobles. Where are the other 3?"
Merchant:"I don't if you'll like them. The other guards are male"
Shomei:"... how much are the maids and guards I saw?"
Grinning, Merchant:"Since your willing to purchase of them at once, I'll give you a special discount of 20 gold coins for each girl"
Shomei:"Ok, but can I ask a question?"
Merchant:"I'll answer all of your questions to the best of my abilities sir"
Pretending to take something out of my pockets, I create a flawed mana stone. Shomei:"Can I pay with this?"
Seeing the flawed mana stone in my hand, both the merchant and the staff lady gulped and stare greedily at my hand.
System:Sigh* I knew this would happen.
Shomei:"Hello? Earth to merchant"
Merchant:"Cough* Cough* sorry, sorry. Yes, you can certainly use that mana stone. I don't know if I have change though, is there anything else you want patron?"
Shomei:"I guess I'll also take the male guards, and can you show me some of the monsters you have here?"
Merchant:"Certainly, we'll get the maids and guards ready for you then" Saying that, he signals the staff lady to do what he said.
Turning back to me, Merchant:"May I ask if there is any kind of monster the patron has in mind?"
Shomei:Hmmm... I doubt that they have any legendary monsters that I would like to see, like a Dragon, Phoenix, or Pegasus.
And I can always make any monster I need, like if I need to make a cow for a farm in my Inner World.
Hey Eva, can monster evolve and turn into something similar to humans?
Eva:Yes, monsters can evolve into something similar to humans. The best example of this would be goblins line, since they already resemble humans, especially if they have the chance to "level up" and evolve.
Shomei:Isn't this a lot like "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime"?
Eva:Yes an No. Almost all monsters evolve this way. If slime evolve by absorbing humans or human like creatures, they would also take the shape of a human when they evolve. They'll still be made of slime, but still take the shape of a human.
Shomei:...
Merchant:"Patron, are you still there?"
Shomei:"Oh yeah, sorry. I was just thinking"
Merchant:"No worries. Have you thought of what monster you would like to buy?"
Shomei:"Aw Yes, do you have any monsters of the goblin line? And slimes as well?"
Merchant:"Of course, that's easy. How many would you like?"
Shomei:"Can I have all the goblins and all of your slimes you have?"
Merchant:"... all of them?"
Shomei:"Yes, that wont be a problem right?"
Merchant:"Of course not, I'll get them ready right away. Just wait a little while and check out any of the other selections we have to offer here while you wait"
Shomei:"Oh wait"
Merchant:"Yes patron?"
Shomei:"Can I get the Demi-Human too?"
Merchant:"Of course patron, I'll also go get her"
Shomei:"Thank"
Merchant:"No problem patron. It's my pleasure"
Seeing him walk away, I could see to what I assume is this world's money signs in this eyes.
Shomei:"What to do now?"
...
Looking around the basement, I asked Eva if any of the monsters I saw could evolve into humans.
Too my surprise, every monster can. It's just that they won't be as strong or good as there Demi-Human counter part.
A bird can become a harpy, but a harpy can evolve farther and therefore stronger and better. This was the reason I didn't buy every monster in here.
