The Tale Of The Worst Squad At Rodeo Academy!

24 First Term Exams!

We return to the academy again. What we saw back there at our house...What was that? "Hey kid, don't think too much alright?" Mr. Daniel says to me. I nod. "We will speak with the headmaster about this." Mr. Daniel says. "I understand..." I say to Mr. Daniel. "You too Luis, don't tell anyone about this." Mr. Daniel says to Luis who is following us. "Yes teacher." Luis says.

We enter the academy gate and begin making our way to the headmaster's office. Mr. Daniel sends everyone off to the class except for me. "Let's go speak to the headmaster." Mr. Daniel says to me. I nod. We reach the headmaster's office's entrance. Mr. Daniel opens the door. "Hey chief. Got some news for you." Mr. Daniel says as he enters. Bruno and Jian were already there before us. Well...It would make sense, they left much earlier then we did.

"The mission report is already filled in, Caster." The headmaster says. "Oh I see...I guess we need to talk about something more personal then." Mr. Daniel says to the headmaster. "What's personal? I don't remember there being anything personal about you there, and why did you bring that kid here?" Bruno points at me. "He must be missing an important class. Oh I am sorry, you don't have a class because you are unregistered. I pity you." Bruno begins to laugh. I smile. Bruno looks at me with an angry glare. Jian looks surprised. "Why do you smile kid? Didn't he insult you?" Jian asks. "That is because we have no guarantee whether the class will be an unregistered class or a registered one."

*A wise voice*

I turn behind to see who it is. It's an old man with long white beard and hair. "Hello...Sir..." I say. Everyone's eyes widen looking at the old man. "What's he doing here?" Bruno says with sweat dripping all over his face. The old man smiles at me. "So you are the boy I have heard about." The old man says. "Better not disappoint me boy, I will be watching you and I will be watching you closely, very closely. It's just 4 months away. Remember that boy." The old man says and waves me a goodbye. "Hey old guy!" I call for him. "EEEEEH?!!!!" Everyone looks scared, even the headmaster and Caster. "What is it?" The old man asks me. "What's your name?" I ask. "It's Cao Ping." The old man smiles. "Huh? Councillor Cao Ping?" I ask. Could it really be... "I see...You are her kid after all." Cao Ping says. I smile. "That smile says everything I need to know." Cao Ping jumps down off of the second floor.

"Wait...You know Master Cao Ping?" Jian asks me. "Yeah, he was my mother's master." I reply. "Eh? Who is your mother?" Jian asks me. "Why do you ask?" I ask Jian. "Isn't it obvious?" Bruno questions. "Jian was trained by Cao Ping too." The headmaster says to me. "I see...Well, my mother's name is Jill Marshal." I smile as both Bruno and Jian's eyes widen. Bruno's face hides in a shadow. "We will talk later." Bruno says as he leaves the room. What happened to him?

"So you are the child she chose over her duty...I see..." Jian says as he begins to leave. He keeps his hand on my shoulder before he leaves. "Kid, no wonder you have the same aura as her, but becareful of what actions you take. After all, actions do have consequences." Jian says and leaves. "Alright then Caster, what did you want to speak about?" The headmaster asks.

15 minutes later,

We explain the headmaster everything that we noticed back there. The only people who know about that place are Luis, I, Tamie and Mr. Daniel and now the headmaster. Back then, we made an excuse that it was just a room with nothing but darkness. Mr. Daniel then said that the room might hold some more secrets and if that's true we might need more people. That's the only reason we left that house. As of the right now, Tamie is working on that investigating more about mother. Tsch! What were you upto mom?

"I see...We need to privately investigate this situation...We can't let anyone know about this, not yet." The headmaster says. "I already am on it. I sent Tamie on a private investigation to that place. She says she understands and will handle the situation." Mr. Daniel says. "Good to know that you have such a reliable friend, Caster." The headmaster says. He looks at my downed face and smiles.

"Now boy..." The headmaster calls for me. "Just because you went out on a mission doesn't mean you can skip the first term exam." The headmaster smiles widely. I am confused...What does he mean first term? I mean I know I came in late to this academy but no one said that there is a first and second term like I had in my school. "Everyone who were in the class gave their exams after you went to that mission. So the people who were on the mission need to give their exams." The headmaster says. "Umm...Don't we...Kinda need a notification before the exams?" I ask. "What? I thought we already had a notification on. Didn't you read the bulletin board at the entrance of the academy?" The headmaster asks. "Huh?!" I am confused what is he saying? "The last week of this month were already decided to be your exams but the one's who went on the mission, their exams were postponed for a week later. You kid's are reckless." The headmaster sighs. "Anyways, this will be your first term exams then you will have to attend the class until you get your results and then a 3 month of vacation..." The headmaster takes a pause. "To work for the academic tournament." The headmaster takes a serious tone.

I understood what he means. This academic tournament...It's way important...Way too important to us...So...I will do anything to get us into top 8...I have made a promise to myself. "But first...The exams." The headmaster says. Mr. Daniel chuckles. "Really now?" I sigh. "Kid, go get some rest. You need it. You can read what exams you have tomorrow on the bulletin board and then prepare for it." Mr. Daniel says. "Yeah, yeah..." I say and leave the room. Exams are boring even for me.

Everyone, just wait...I will make sure...We reach the top as soon as possible. That's a promise I make to you and myself.
