11 Alpha
Without giving Sagar time to catch his breath the alpha immediately started his assault. Following close behind him was the rest of the pack numbering in four other wolves. There was no sort of deceit used in the attack just a full frontal charge with nothing held back.
Getting close to Sagar the alpha swiped his claws at a blinding speed that Sagar felt like he barely had time to respond to said attack. Sagar quickly lauched himself back witnessing the spot he was just standing on turn into a small crater from the alpha's strike. He then responded with his own attack by launching a 'Gram Slice' towards the alpha. While he wasn't sure if it would hurt the wolf it would buy him some time to apply some buffs but he saw that while the alpha was going to counter the attack the pack went around him and went straight towards Sagar.
'It seems I have to thin the herd a bit', thought Sagar before using 'zio' to strike one of the wolfs. Not only was it able to greatly wound the beast it even paralyzed him effectively making him useless. Caring not for their comrade the others continued their charge towards Sagar but problems seemed to continue to crop up as the alpha finished recovering from his attack. It then overtook the others and reached Sagar to launch another attack which was just another swipe.
Sagar just dodged again but while in the middle of his recovery he was hit with something that caused him to be sent flying a couple of meters crashing into a tree. The attack itself caused him to cough up some blood while him hitting the tree knocked all the air out of him. Sagar looked towards the wolves to see what hit him and saw a smokey figure leaking out of the alpha that was a clone of itself.
It was one of the trump cards of the alpha he lured Sagar into believing he could just dodge him normally and then hit him when he let his guard down. Looking at the alpha Sagar saw that it looked like it was using up a rapid amount of energy the eyes of the alpha told him it wanted to finish this fight as fast as it could.
Well while he got knocked over here Sagar tried his best to focus his magic to give him some buffs and it seemed to pay off. He quickly cast every '-kaja' spell he knew in quick succession that it not only trained his mana at a massive speed but also gave him a head splitting headache. He didn't have much time to pay attention to it as the alpha along with the other wolves were quickly making their way here.
Since he was some danger here Sagar discarded his thought of not using group targeting spells. He needed to get rid of the riffraff while also damaging the alpha and his clone, for this he decided wind would probably deal the most effective damage to the clone.
While slowly getting up he stretched his hand gathering his mana and casting 'mazan' which made the wind gathering around all the wolves including the alpha clone. The winds sliced up what was left of the pack spraying their blood everywhere while the alpha looked hurt but was relatively fine but that didn't apply to his clone as it looked like it was about to fall apart.
The attack didn't slow down the alpha's mad charge as he was getting closer to Sagar, the clone lacking the weight of the alpha speed past him and reached Sagar first. Already standing up Sagar responded to the attack with his saber swinging out. The clash caused Sagar's unsteady body to shoot out crashing into the ground while the clone's body starting to dissipate but it continued it's attack. Sagar forcibly pushed his body off the ground and raised his hand to send another 'zan' at the clone to wipe it out but as it was getting close to him it suddenly dispersed causing the smoke forming it's body to spread out in front of him.
Before Sagar could get his bearings, alpha's mouth came out of the smoke just enough to bite Sagar's entire arm he held out. The wolf was attempting to bite it off but for some reason the human's flesh and bones were ridiculously strong that it was starting to hurt it's teeth to even reach the bone. Not only was this because of Sagar's high vitality but also because he buffed his defense not that long ago.
Seeing that his bite was not going to do anything the alpha started carrying Sagar and wave him about knocking him into any trees or other sturdy object around. Feeling himself starting to lose consciousness from being thrown around Sagar took his saber and thrust it into the throat of the alpha making the already mad beast become berserk.
While the attack fatally wounded the beast it would probably end up killing Sagar before it dies as a final act of retaliation. Not wanting such an outcome Sagar tried desperately to focus him mana and gather it in the arm that was currently inside the mouth of the wolf. Then using the rest of his mana along with his manipulation of the fire element he pushed his 'agi' spell extremely close to the power of it's higher tiered level 'agilao'.
Immediately the inside of the alpha's body become roasted and it stopped it's thrashing slowly losing strength in it's body collapsing onto the ground. Sagar's arm was still inside of the beast so he used his remaining power to open the jaws of the beast and since it was inside when the attack it was blackened even charred in some areas. Even if he was some control over fire he wasn't completely immune to it's effects.
Sagar quickly used some of his remaining internal energy to reinforce his depleting life energy. It caused the bite on his arm to close and healed some of his burns that were on it. He then used 300 points to buy some medicine from the system [Shop] and managed to almost completely heal himself save for some small cuts along with bruises. He then went to the corpse of the wolf to get his saber from it's throat.
When pulled out it was severely blackened and somewhat damaged as well. This was to be expected as it was inside of the alpha when he roasted it's insides. The saber could be cleaned, the damages will cause him to go to the blacksmith to get repairs but that wasn't too troubling. Sagar then started making his way back leaving the corpse behind as it was too damaged for it to worth him taking back and he made quite a bit of coin during the month so it wouldn't hurt his pocket too much anyway.
"Well today was more tiring than I thought it would be.", Sagar said aloud.
