58 Rough Training
Spending the rest of his day talking with his family and friends, Sagar went back to his room to go to sleep early. This was mainly due to him wanting to be well rested for when he has his training with Simon Drak in the morning but even after he was finished with the training he still had things he had to do. He also had to take both Umbra and Talia out shopping as he had promised them that he would take them. Then maybe he could also bring up the topic of his grandparents with his mother if the time called for it.
Waking up in the morning Sagar made his way back up to the fifth floor of the manor to the room where he had met Simon the day before. He was told by Simon to meet him there so Sagar just complied to see where the old man would take him.
Walking into the room it was the same as last time but Simon was instead standing facing Sagar as he knew about his arrival. Looking at Sagar, Simon let out a bellowing laugh making Sagar worried that the old man would wake up everyone who was asleep currently but he didn't say anything to Simon as he proceeded to talk.
"Boy, you arrived at a good time. Just follow me and I"ll lead you to where we'll be conducting your training.", as he was saying this he turned around and walked further into the room that they were within. Yesterday whenever Sagar had met Simon he didn't think that there was more to the room than what he had already seen. He figured that Simon was just meditating at the end of the room because he wanted to but instead Simon was just meditating in the middle of the room.
Eventually they came across a simple door that Sagar figured lead to another room but he was immediately proven wrong when Simon opened up the door revealing what was inside. Inside the door was a huge flat plain that seemed never ending as far as he could see. All you could see was the endless green stretching for several kilometers along with the fast blue sky with the sun hanging in the middle.
Seeing Sagar's shock Simon came from behind and roughly pat him on the shoulder, "Impressed. This is actually a little pocket dimension that's tied to the main manor and it's been here for generations. From what I know apparently one of our ancestors was good friends with a mage who was adept at using the space element and it was him that set up this dimension.", showing a bit of regret on his face Simon continued, "Unfortunately other than being a pocket dimension that makes for a good training spot that's all there is to it.", Simon shrugged his shoulders a bit, "Well it does have a unique function that allows it to restore itself regardless of the damage left behind."
Sagar was curious about something so he asked, "What level of attacks could this dimension withstand? Wouldn't a strong enough attack be able to destroy the space here?"
"Normally it would only take someone of my strength to be able to break space maybe even someone of the Saint rank could do it as well if they put their all into the attack, but that's not the case here. You see whoever set up this dimension made the space here even more stable than the one outside but this mainly has to do with the fact that the space here doesn't cover as much."
Shooting off another question, "But it looks like this place is never ending?"
Sighing a bit Simon commented, "You know, you ask a lot of questions. Anyway that's just an illusion mainly there is an ending to this place you just have to travel far enough.", walking away from Sagar Simon announced, "Enough of that, let's get started on your training."
A few hours later some people were eating breakfast that was served them including Umbra, Talia, and Aquilia who was sitting on Talia's lap. Beatrice had some things to do in the morning along with Garris who had to go work at the Silverback's leaving Aquilia with no one to watch her. Usually one of the trusted servants would watch over her till Beatrice or Garris got back but Talia volunteered to do so. They were going to go out with Sagar later anyway so he would be able to take over but Talia wouldn't mind to continue to watch over her.
Aquilia was sitting quietly on Talia's lap wearing a light purple dress with some frills on the edges of the sleeves. Her brown hair that matched her mother's was getting longer each day barely reaching her shoulders and now she was wearing the necklace that her brother had gotten her. Talia and Umbra thought she was cute and were constantly playing with her while they were eating their breakfast. Aquilia had already been fed by Beatrice before she left so the two didn't have to worry about feeding her until the afternoon.
Right now they were just waiting for Sagar to complete his training that he had talked about yesterday. He didn't mention how long it would take but he said he should at least be done sometime into the late morning. As the two girls were continuing to play with Aquilia, who honestly looked a bit annoyed at their antics but let them continue otherwise, a tired figure walked into the dining room.
Of course this was Sagar who was a bit exhausted from his training with Simon. Originally he thought he would just show what he's learned to Simon and Simon would correct him on his mistakes. Well that is technically what they did but not in the manner that Sagar thought they would be. You see instead of simply demonstrating, Sagar was told to directly attack Simon and while Sagar didn't have problem with doing so because he thought Simon wouldn't be hurt by his attacks, what he didn't expect was retaliation.
That's right Simon taught him by physically beating it into him he used several techniques allowing Sagar to see their different uses. Sagar can't exactly complain because he did learn but the way he went about learning it was a bit distressing. Either way Sagar would do his best in the upcoming training sessions with Simon over the next two weeks.
Seeing the girls along with his sister he made his way over to them and sat at an empty seat next to Umbra. The servants noticed his arrival and were working on bringing him something to eat as well. The two girls looked at Sagar's tired stature and both of them began to laugh loudly at it while Aquilia looked at the two weirdly.
Being a bit irritated Sagar spoke, "What's so funny you two?"
Trying to stifle their laughter a bit, Talia responded, "Well, it's just the first time I've seen you exhausted this way. Even after you were done fighting with Klaus you weren't this tired."
Sagar let out a deep sigh, "Try sparring with someone at the Ancestor rank and come out being as full of energy as ever."
Both the girls exchanged looks as if simultaneously saying an, "Oh", of understanding. Talia then said, "I didn't know you were training with Grandpa Simon. It's not like you mentioned it yesterday all you said was, 'I'll be training in the morning so I'll be a bit late'.", Talia did what she thought was her best imitation of Sagar.
It wasn't surprising that she knew Sagar was talking about Simon as he was the only one of the family who was at the Ancestor rank. She's probably met him a lot more than Sagar as well so she has a better understanding of his personality. Well Sagar now had a good understanding of him as well even though they only met two times as his personality wasn't exactly hard to understand.
While they were talking Aquilia tried getting up from Talia's lap to make her way over to Sagar but Talia kept holding her down not allowing her to. This led to her to start to cry a bit at which she had to be given to Sagar at which time she started settling down. Talia herself felt a bit down about it but Sagar told her not to mind it too much, it wasn't like Aquilia disliked her anything.
When the trio finished their breakfast they went outside the manor to start making their way to the market district of Verreaux. They weren't going to take a carriage as that would just increase the amount of time it would take to reach it and it wasn't like the two girls were planning to by too many things, at least Sagar hoped so.
