60 Squad Struggle
The two parties exchanged looks not moving an inch since coming into the sights of each other. Sagar was wondering who these men were and why they were after him but he doubted they would tell him easily, so he'll have to keep some alive after the fight. Hopefully him exhausting himself the entire doesn't effect his performance too much, if it comes down to it he'll just purchase something from the system's [Shop] to recover.
On the other side the investigation squad was trying to formulate a plan of attack. They only knew some of the things that their target was capable of, which includes his use of the explosion element. While that would be somewhat hard for them to deal with there was still something the whole squad was wondering about. The energy they had tracked to even find their target doesn't match the explosion element at all, it's some kind of unknown element and the only ones who knew about it were already dead.
Tension building in the area was almost palpable but was eventually broken by someone on the investigation squad, with him clasping his hands and shouting out a name of a spell. From beneath Sagar several roots of wood shout out of the ground trying to restrict him. The speed of the spell was quite impressive but Sagar had already set up a barrier around himself with root wrapping themselves around it. Upon touching the barrier the roots started to catch fire rapidly turning to ash.
The squad took advantage of the opening that their comrade opened up for them and they each launched their own attack. Besides the the mage who had had tried constricting Sagar two other mages cast their own spells with one using the water element while the other used the lighting element. The other three were warriors which included the boss of the group with them, and they launched attacks by cladding their weapons in their internal energy and throwing it out.
By the time any of the attacks reached Sagar the roots were already burnt away, with the first attack landing being the spell cast by the water mage. This was done purposely with the lightning mage delaying his spell to allow his comrades attack to hit first. The spell that the water mage used summoned a small tidal wave that started flowing towards Sagar, when the spell was about to hit him the lightning mage also cast his spell, summoning a lightning bolt from the sky above Sagar, timing when the tidal wave would reach Sagar.
The subsequent result was that the lightning attacks power was increased thanks to the water with a big smoke and dust cloud picked up because of the water meeting the fire barrier and the lightning attack. The warriors didn't wait to see if Sagar was still alive or not and threw out their internal energy attacks towards Sagar's last position, causing the smoke and dust to spread even further around the area reaching the investigation squad.
Remaining vigilant the squad tried to focus on the area where Sagar was previously standing to try and feel his energy. Before they could figure out the condition of their target there was some rumbling underneath them leading to an arm bursting from underneath the ground directly in front of the lightning mage. The hand of the arm was in the shape of a claw with some energy wrapped around it which slashed out at the lightning mage sending him flying out of the clearing and back into the nearby forest.
Backing away from the arm the squad escaped out from the smoke and dust not bothering to see if their comrade was alright as they were focused on their target. Quickly the body of their target came out of the ground throwing out another attack this time he flatted out his hand, pulled back his arm and covered his hand in the same energy that he attacked the lightning mage with. Then he thrust out his entire arm and the energy on his hand.
This move was something Sagar preferred to do with his saber but he made due with hand instead as even though is was less effective it was still usable. He just used 'Rampage' which is a multi-hitting
multi-targeting technique which while weaker than his single targeting techniques allows him to at least hit the entire group. The attack targeted the plant mage along with two of the warriors striking them several times. Weirdly enough the attacks actually burst the three completely but not into a pile of blood but instead was turned into a pile of water. Not only them but the other ones that didn't get hit with the attack also turned into water.
Sagar was going to start to look for them but he suddenly felt danger his neck, which quickly revealed itself to be one the warriors who used a two-handed greatsword. Sagar thrust out his hand which the warrior thought was foolish until the sword was about to reach Sagar's hand but instead hit a small barrier that was on it. When meeting the barrier the sword was met with a counter force of a small explosion throwing him off his feet. This was actually the explosion barrier that Talia was good at using but Sagar wasn't able to control it as well as her to have it cover his entire body, just now he put it into a smaller form that didn't require as much control.
As the warrior was flying Sagar sent out his version of 'Explosive Cone' but a quick fire version that didn't have the power of the regular version but allowed him to shoot it out quickly. He used this version because as soon as the warrior was sent flying he felt the other two warriors making his way towards him along with the plant mage who was casting another constricting spell. Using not only his internal energy but also the 'Explosive Maneuver' technique Sagar was able to reach speed he's not been able to reach using the two separately.
The plant mage's spell completely missed with Sagar reaching the two warriors almost instantaneously giving them no time to react as Sagar swung out his leg. Sagar now stacked Simon's marital arts on top of his speed allowing his kick on one of the warriors to be quite devastating. When the kick reached the warrior and the explosion element was about to go off Sagar felt the warrior's body collapse in on itself turning into water that started wrapping around Sagar. The other warrior turned into water as well joining the other one in constricting Sagar.
Out of the forest a bolt of lightning shot out of the forest quickly striking Sagar. While receiving the attack Sagar turned around and saw that the lightning mage was barely conscious with a four deep purple gashes covering his torso. Sagar had hit him with a 'Venom Claw' which had a poisonous nature to it allowing it to poison whoever it injures. After letting out his spell the mage collapsed and finally fell unconscious leaving Sagar who was currently still receiving the effects of his attack.
While the attack did a good amount of damage to Sagar it wasn't anything too severe, the water constricting him was weakening it's hold allowing him to break out of them. Seeing that the group was about to attack him again Sagar decided to get rid of the one giving the most trouble, the water mage. So far the water mage managed to not only save his comrades but also allowed them to see some of the other things Sagar was capable of. Even though Sagar had a large variety of spells and techniques he could use he couldn't have others let him resort to him using them just yet.
As the water mage was getting ready to support his squad again he started feeling like there was something dangerous forming around him. He couldn't tell what it was as he could barely feel it but he decided he would quickly move and reposition himself. Unfortunately the danger he felt was something he couldn't get away from fast enough as a purple sphere formed right in front of his chest before the sphere itself expanded with the domineering energy from it tearing his body apart.
All the mage could do was let out a scream before he was killed alerting his comrades to his death. The two warriors advancing on Sagar, along with the plant mage turned to where the water mage was only seeing a purple sphere expand out and then explode. From the screams they figured that the mage was dead but before they could regain focus, Sagar had already advanced on the plant mage catching the mage by the neck.
The two warriors seeing that the plant mage was captured made their way over to him quickly to help him but ultimately it was futile. After raising the mage by the neck Sagar focused on using his 'Explosive Cone' spell on his hand that when released completely erased the mage's head. Seeing this the two warrior's stopped in their tracks from seeing another one of their comrades fall. One of them was unconscious, the others condition was unknown and two of them were dead leaving only them right now.
