50 Across the Realms Dropped(2/2)
No matter how Ra looked at him, the old man resembled an archetype of a kind, and cheerful, old man. As both of them were sizing each other up, they each came to the same conclusion: "Powerful". One was in terms of immediate strength, and the other was in potential.
Ra tried to stand up and greet the old man, but his weak legs gave out before he could stand up.
"Hello senior, I'm afraid I can't stand up, thank you for saving me," Ra said with an embarrassed smile on his face.
"Oh, how do you know that I saved you, boy?" The old man said with interest.
"Intuition, senior, I feel a sense of familiarity when I look at you," Ra replied a bit confused himself.
Ra's answer elicited a hearty chuckle from the old man, "I'd expect such a response, I am your bloodline's primogenitor."
The young teenager almost passed out again hearing the old man's words, and the part that really made Ra's mind tumble was that he believed his words. There is simply no other reason for why his bloodline was burning.
"Senior, you founded Nexus Valley?"
"Yes, yes, I did," the old man replied with some glee.
A strange look soon appeared in the eyes of Ra, which didn't go unnoticed by the man.
"What's with that look, boy?"
Ra stumbled around with words, not sure of how to answer. The longer Ra kept silent, the more piercing the old man's gaze became.
"Ah, Senior, wasn't the founder of Nexus Valley, a woman?" Ra said defeatedly.
It was now the turn of the old man to almost fall flat on his feet and be unable to find words, "What do you mean, boy?"
"Well, ah, the founder of Nexus Valley has always been prestigious progenitor Xanthine the True Dragon," Ra quickly informed the old man to stop any confusion.
"Of course Xanthine would be there, but what about Levi the Leviathan?" The old man asked seriously.
"Sorry Senior, I have never heard of Levi the Leviathan."
Hearing Ra's words, the old man deflated in on himself. His great pride was being squashed the more the teenager spoke.
"Is there anything involving Leviathan in Nexus Valley these days?" The old man asked, his expression obviously expecting the worse.
Ra noticing the old man's expression decided to be a bit politer in answering this, "Unfortunately senior there is nothing involving a 'Leviathan' in Nexus Valley, the most I can recall is that in some of the history books of our Sect we used to have some relation to a 'Leviathan'."
The old man kept quiet for a few moments before he spoke again, "Boy, do you know what a Leviathan is?"
"All I know senior is that a Leviathan is a great primordial sea beast that can compare to a True Dragon, there has even been some talk of it being able to surpass a True Dragon in some cases," Ra said lightly. Ra had no idea why he said the last part, but the teenager had a hunch that the old man would be happy with his answer.
The old man nodded his head in confirmation to the first part of Ra's answer, but a broad smile spread across his face when he heard the latter part.
He moved to Ra and gave him a big pat on the back, "Well, boy, we have lots to discuss about yourself and the history of our Sect."
The old man with his long moustache moved to Ra and gave him a big pat on the back, "Well, boy, we have lots to discuss yourself and the history of our Sect."
Ra did not miss the word 'our', and he began to realise that maybe his hunch was correct.
"Boy, what's your name?"
"Nimbus Ra."
"Ah, Nimbus.. I take it your other bloodline is that of a Cloud Dragon?" The old man said as he placed his hand on his chin.
"Other?!" Ra asked in confusion.
"Oh yes, you have two bloodlines that's why your body almost killed itself," at this point, the old man lifted his hand to stop Ra from speaking, "Ra, everything will be explained to you in a few moments, there are just somethings I also need to clear up."
"My name is Levi, no surname. Back in the day, I was known as Levi the Leviathan. I and little-sister Xanthine founded Nexus Valley. Unfortunately, it is incredibly difficult for the Leviathan bloodline to procreate, so I set up an inheritance in the sect for any who comes to possess my bloodline over the years. This would allow them to both uses whatever variant Dragon Bloodline and the Leviathan Bloodline together."
Levi watched Ra's expression and once he was sure the boy who comprehended all he had said he continued.
"But it seems that my inheritance is not in the Nexus Valley anymore, any idea why that is Ra?"
Ra like the old man, brought his hand up to his chin and began to rub it, seeing Ra's actions lead to a smile on Levi's face, 'This boy definitely holds my bloodline.'
"Senior Levi, over a hundred thousand years ago a great catastrophe happened within the Eastern Continent, my homeland, and the Nexus Valley suffered great damage," Ra stated as he was gathering his thoughts.
Such information came as no surprise to Levi but nonetheless, he still raised an eyebrow.
"There is, of course, no one left alive since those times, and even if there are a couple they have all ascended. The ancient history texts may have something about it, but because the subject is taboo, and I do not have enough status to access the taboo texts, I have no idea on the happenings,"
"All I know is that a powerful catastrophe happened," Ra sighed helplessly.
"From you words, it's most likely that my inheritance, which admittedly didn't take up much space in the sect, was lost," Levi said slowly.
Ra nodded in response.
"First things first, you are not going to die anymore. But, there definitely will be complications, you cannot get out of your predicament without some cost," the old man said in a lecturely tone.
