Lord Titanheart

15 Di Manes

Seeing his mentality was tempered. Leon's goal achieved but he didn't immediately wanted to return his territory. The lure of the system world was too good for him. He wanted go there and gain some advantages also he learned that in order to gain citizenship of the system world you needed to form your Soul Embryo there and he could also try to found some yin-yang attributed treasures to further temper his body. He planed to use his titan body as a foundation for his mana cultivation until he reached the fifth stage he didn't wanted to proceed his mana cultivation.

The Titans could temper their bodies unceasingly but they needed to create a base for it. The base was Elemental Stage, Yin-Yang Stage, Life & Death Stage, Soul Unification Stage and Space-Time Stage. When you tempered your body to the perfection in Elemental Stage, it didn't mean that your elemental tempering was over, it was just the start.

Opening his sea consciousness he obtained to right for a seat to go the system world. Leon immediately went to talk with Teacher Fiona.

"Teacher Fiona I opened my sea consciousness and I want to go to the system world."

"Oh, you did. That's mean you cleared the first obstacle. To go system world you need to participate the tournament and be in the top 10."

Leon looked at Teacher Fiona with a frown on his face clearly showing why she didn't mention such a thing in the first place.

"Don't look at me like that, it is also for your own good. If you didn't have the power to be at the top ten, it would be same as sending you to die. The system world might be treasure trove but it also has too much danger."

Leon nodded and asked;

"When will be the tournament?"

"It will take place in a month so you should enjoy a bit of academy lifestyle, I don't think you'd get stronger but pass your time more student like."

Leon nodded, he was preoccupied with his problem and before that he only thought to become immortal. But he didn't think anything about enjoying his life. Just as he was leaving;

"Count Titanheart, I knew you had a problem to solve but it passed already."

Leon startled and looked to Teacher Fiona with a mild shock. His shock wasn't because she knew his identity but she knew he had problem. But his shock increased when he heard the rest.

"You weren't a human right? Even now you aren't a human."

Leon sat down and looked at Teacher Fiona;

"Don't worry I'll not tell anyone about it but the academy already knows you were a noble in Loren Empire. Instead let explain to you; We, undeads are specialized on soul cultivation do you know the reason? It is simple, we don't want to forget our memories while we are reincarnated. In the world we known as researchers on magic and this was all for our second lives. Also there is a reason for this academy. We want to gain karma to improve our second life and make certain that we could retain our memories. We also inherently curious and want to know everything. I can tell you are not a human. It is just my curiosity to know what you are."

Leon told her about his life and how could possess corpses and learned their experiences then how he created his fleshly body. After he finished, Teacher Fiona was tapping to the table with bony fingers then she looked at Leon with empty eye sockets

"Di Manes, you were a Di Manes. I don't know what a titan but according to you, you were Di Manes."

"Di Manes? I never heard such a thing."

Teacher Fiona sighed and explained;

"Di Manes, some mortals think they are deities who help them by consuming their sins after they died. It is also not far from the truth, Di Manes have ability to read memories of the dead and as a side effect they would also took their obsessions. You were lucky to come here and learned the soul cultivation. If not you would've become insane and attack everything like a chaos beast. At least that problem of yours solved."

Leon nodded and he also felt that when he didn't hesitate to kill someone, he was unstable.

"Teacher, how can I breakthrough to Soul embryo?"

Teacher Fiona shook her head and laughed

"Why are you hasting? Soul cultivation is different from any other kind. In mana cultivation you need to cumulate mana at first and understand the law, but what do you think you had to do in order to process in soul cultivation?"

Leon thought a bit and answered

"Understand myself?"

"Yes, who you are? Are you a Di Manes, a Titan which I never heard such a thing or are you Count Titanheart? Answering these questions and knowing yourself only way to process in the soul cultivation. Don't look at me like you know yourself. I'm talking about more philosophical and more deep answers. "

Leon nodded in shame. Looking at him Teacher Fiona added one more thing;

"You don't have to answer right away. If you have the chance to go, while you were in the system world, there you have to do quest given by the system and doing them you might find your answers."

After leaving the office of Teacher Fiona, Leon was in confusion. Who was he? Is he someone passed through the worlds and reincarnated here as a Di Manes or he was a Di Manes who possessed the memories of some dead person from a planet called earth. After a while he shook his head and didn't think much about it, even if he did there wasn't any answers for it.

He went to his room and took the communication crystal and connected it to Josh's. He didn't had the time to ask him about his fief while he was doing his research. He was curious about the development of his fief. After a brief report from Josh, Leon understood that his fief steadily developing and his mansion was built and there was also bit by bit migrations was occurring to his fief.

After learning the situation of his fief, Leon thought it would be better to live as a student and maybe he would learn about himself. There was a month to the tournament and only thing he could do was to teamed up and accept a mission. Leon was always concentrating on his problem and didn't have much time to think anything else, now his problem solved he wanted to find his core thoughts and his life philosophy. In his previous life he didn't think much about his life philosophy, you could say he didn't know much about himself. He only thought about earning enough money to support himself and he was really an ordinary guy who you could find anywhere in the world. One thing he knew about himself was that he was a cold person and pragmatic. He didn't have any hobby aside from watching movies and read some books.

Thinking these, Leon thought it would be wise to heed to Teacher Fiona's advice. So he walked through the corridors of the academy and went to the mission hall. The mission hall was filled with students who was looking for suitable missions and also there was some group of students who was trying to invite other students to clear the missions together. Leon was planning to team up with one of the groups but he also looked at mission board to see the missions.

The mission board was filled with mission from easy as farming spiritual herbs to hunt down magical beast and bandits. Leon skim over the mission board but he didn't have any interest to take a solo mission, so went to ask the groups which was waiting around the board for take a part in their missions. Asking their mission content he learned that the mission of one the groups was to hunt down a group of bandits. When Leon killed the ruffians in the slums he noticed that he didn't hesitate to kill someone. Right now he tempered his mentality, he wanted to know if it was his true nature by killing bandits.

When Leon joined their group, the group sat down a table in mission hall to introduce themselves and share their abilities. Aside from Leon, there were four students who had their lucky encounters and became lone warriors. Lone warriors was a term used for the one who found body tempering techniques and didn't serve any magus. Most of mercenaries were also like that. Even though Leon was a magus he didn't told them, he told that he was a grade two warrior. There were two grade two warriors and one grade one and one grade three warrior in the group.

The grade three warriors name was Jacob, the grade one warriors name was Mark, and the grade two's names were Frank and Andre. They briefly explained their abilities and chatted a bit, then they leaved the mission hall together. Leon was still calm even though he knew that he would kill someone again.
