136 Mephisto, Go!

"Quick, Mephisto disrupt it!" Nine called out, and Mephisto instantly leapt from where she normally sat on Nine's collar.

Hard as it was to believe, the Undead Titan's speed had reached a point where it easily outstripped a Vampire's speed, which threw Nine off a little. She had not yet met another being who had outmatched her in speed since she came to become Nine, but she quickly regained her mental stability.

Mephisto let out a chirping sound as she regained her normal size, quickly growing and speeding up. The transformation was painless as she grew from the size of a small coin to a size rivalling that of the Undead Titan.

Nocturne couldn't help but stare. He couldn't help but feel like he suddenly understood those who was afraid of spiders. He was sure that had they been standing here in his place; they would never have a sound night of sleep again.

Mephisto had truly grown to a.. rather frightening and startling size. Even the Undead Titan seemed like it was shocked as its eating speed slowed down slightly, like it couldn't believe its eyes. The grating sounds of crunching bones and chewing flesh paused slightly as it had never seen something that was as big as it was.

The Undead Titan made a low, confused sound as Mephisto charged towards it. It dropped the minor undead it was chewing on, causing a wet sounding splat to be heard as the body hit the ground. The undead's lower body had been consumed by the titan, and the upper body that had not yet been consumed dragged itself forward towards Cosmos City mindlessly.

Mephisto struck out with its foreleg, quickly climbing onto the Undead Titan before it was able to react. The titan roared, grabbing around trying to dislodge Mephisto, but was unable to do so.

Mephisto sunk its fangs into the titan, causing it to let out a loud, deafening roar as the pain inflicted on it was piercing. As it was mostly invulnerable to physical pain, and magic spells felt like a tickle to it, this was the first time in its undead life that it felt such a startling pain.

Instantly, the Undead Titan forgot about Nine and Nocturne as it focused on trying to dislodge the giant Toxic Spider, seeing it as a bigger threat.

The venom that sunk into the Undead Titan was something that was unique to their race alone, and Mephisto was one of the, if not the most, venomous. Even Nine wasn't confident of expelling the venom from Mephisto without incurring damage. There were only so far spells could bring you.

While the Undead Titan was distracted as Mephisto clung onto its back, nimbly dodging its various attempts at shaking, throwing or damaging her, Nine and Nocturne took the chance to do more damage to the titan before it returned to eating undead.

The venom that was injected into the Undead Titan's body was working quickly as it slowed down the speed and strength that the titan could use. Mephisto continued to inject more and more venom into the titan's body.

Nine layered a few Light element spells onto the Undead Titan. Thankfully for them, Light elements were the natural enemy of the undead, and there was an uprising and creation of new Light spells everyday in Cosmos City. They were free for all to use, and someone had discovered that when the spells that were used to positively buff people instead created a debuff when casted on the undead.

That was information that had changed the flow of battle. The people of Cosmos City were thriving in this environment. Unknown talents were rising fast and explosively.

As Nine layered the strongest buffs she could onto the Undead Titan, eight rings of runes formed in the air as Nocturne started crafting the spell hastily.

"Heaven's Tear: Goblet of Light!"

A pool of Light elements rapidly gathered above the Undead Titan, condensing so thickly that it gave of a rather menacing aura to the undead. Those stronger undead in the distance fled as far as they could, whilst the weaker ones were directly blown into ashes.

Just the presence of the spell manifesting gave the Undead Titan untold amounts of pressure. Now disregarding Mephisto, the Undead Titan ran as quickly as it could with Mephisto clinging onto it back, looking like the Undead Titan was carrying a niche spider backpack.

Mephisto chirped angrily at being ignored, the loud sound jarring the Undead Titan as a fear crept into its mind, bewildering it. Bewildered, the Undead Titan's speed dropped even further, allowing the Eighth Circle spell of Nocturne's to finish casting.

It now looked like there was a large basin of white Light particles gathered together above where the Undead Titan stood. Heaven's Tear: Goblet of Light was actually a large area healing spell that was used to heal all allies, but in this case, it would cause a large amount of damage to the undead.

Instead of spreading it out like one would usually do, Nocturne concentrated it all on the Undead Titan that was still fleeing, having judged that it was facing an unknown threat to its life.

The Light elements descended at once, falling onto the Undead Titan gently. The Undead Titan immediately dropped to the ground as it tried to use Mephisto to shield as much of its body as possible.

Even the menacing sounds of the Undead Titan's roars became softer under the staggering amounts of pain it was enduring. If a person had been cut a million times, then placed in a salt bath, followed then by grilling them on a large grill all over, the pain would have been less than what the Undead Titan was currently undergoing.

The Undead Titan curled its body as best it could, trying to hide under the Toxic Spider. It knew that the spider was also of the darkness element, and should have been taking damage as well, but to its disbelief, Mephisto casually injected more venom into its body before happily dashing back to her master.

The titan let out an unwilling roar as it staggered to its feet, enduring the pain. It tried to run towards the lower levelled undead, but none of them were left within the vicinity. Those that were still able to withstand the residual amounts of Light elements were frantically staggering away from the Undead Titan.

Unfortunately for the Titan, this scene was like a wolf chasing sheep which scattered in all directions, meaning that even though the Titan was able to catch a few lowly undead, it was not enough to recover its wounds nor for it to advance.

All it was doing was prolonging its torture under the Eighth Tier spell that Nocturne was still directing.

Luckily for Nocturne and Nine, the Undead Titan had not yet hit the Ninth Tier that it had been threatening to earlier, which made this fight a lot easier than it should have been. Not only that, the Undead Titan was used to dominating its fights in its short undead life, which meant that it had little to no experience in a fight where it took damage.

All of this added up together meant that they were able to secure a victory without taking any damage. Should the Undead Titan have been more careful and level-headed, this would have been a different story altogether.

Still not giving up, the Undead Titan weakly crawled on the ground away from the two Vampires and the Toxic Spider, reminding them of the scene where the earlier low-tiered undead crawled away from the Undead Titan.

Nine joined in and collected more Light elements to layer onto the Undead Titan, causing the titan to unwillingly drop to the ground with no more energy to move forward, its large, red eyes glaring at them with unwillingness and hatred. The pain it was feeling was truly a suffering that it never wanted to experience. Every nerve that should have already been dead in its body was dancing like they were on fire.

Mephisto chirped happily and moved forward to stab the Undead Titan a few times as she danced on his body as a right of conquest, as if it wasn't already suffering enough, thereby ending its pitiful existence before it could cause any amount of damage to Cosmos City.

Seeing that the Undead Titan was dead, Nocturne quickly checked whether the lifeforce that it gave off was really gone before jumping onto Nine, causing the Crown Prince to hit the ground hard, caught off guard.

Nocturne kissed Nine hard and roughly, panting. The adrenaline flooding through his veins caused him to feel horny, grinding down provocatively onto Nine, stunning her.

The kisses they exchanged became more and more explicit, until the both of them felt like they were about to lose their minds from the high of the kill.

"Wait," kiss. "Not," kiss. "Here," kiss.

Nocturne never let Nine get another word in, feeling like she was talking too much, whilst Nine ended up going with the flow. Besides, she was feeling rather hot as well..
