The Other Side of A Cultivation Story

11 Moon Village

It took an entire week for everyone to finally broke through and settle down.

But unknown to them, Qai once again made use of the fifth piece of the Supreme Qi Gathering Pills which he reserved for himself.

To their surprise, Qai went out of the room emiting an aura of initial sky stage of expert realm.

He obviously jumped a stage! That was probably because of the two consecutive usage of supreme pills in 2 weeks.

But to his family, they thought Qai must be a genius. And they looked at him with envy.

"Now, now," Qai said, "it's not that I am cheating you or something.. I merely used the same pill I gave you. Nothing more, nothing less."

"After this level, I will definitely hurdle bottlenecks like the rest of you," He said as he slightly rubbed his nose.

"You're a freak," Shu Liang shouted. "How can we not envy you."

"Look at you Little Brother," Shu Wu called, "You and Liang are now both in the same initial earth stage but with three-year difference in age."

"If you're not a genius, then all of us must be trash," Shu Liang yelled.

Qai just grinned and once again rubbed his nose.

"Alright, alright.. that's enough. Everyone has listed your requests. It's time for me to see Jiang City," Shu Wei announced.

"But wait...," realizing somethng's odd, Shu Wei asked, "Qai, since you broke through to another stage, that must mean you need two skill scrolls."

"That's right Father, for my second skill, I also want a movement skill. If you won't be able to find a rare one for lightning element, common class 'Cloud Steps' will do," explained Qai.

They wondered why Qai chose a movement skill first and not an attack skill. He already made a sacrifice for the first one, now he seems to be wasting another opportunity.

But Shu Wei simply nodded in agreement and said, "why don't you choose the scroll yourself?"

"What do you mean, Father?" Qai asked in reply.

"Your Big Brother had been accompanying me to the city in the past, but you know Qinlun has just given birth to their son, so why not join me instead."

"Yes!" Qai excitedly answered.

"Noooo," Shu Liang yelled.

Although Shu Liang, has already seen the nearby villages, she has never gone to Jiang City.

***************

It would take a three-day travel to the west to get to Jiang City.

And so after some quick preparations, the father and son bid their goodbyes to the rest of the family and immediately started their journey.

Qai brought the black tiger cub with him.

On their way to Moon Village, Qai relayed to his father his thoughts,

"Father, if we come across a beast taming skill scroll in the next village, I want to buy it... Ahm, I want to see immediately the effect on this black tiger."

'Roooar,' the cub softly growled in approval.

"No problem son, it's a common skill. The merchants in Moon Village would probably have two or three of them," his father said.

Qai excitedly nodded and hugged the cub.

"Did you hear that, we're officially gonna be little brothers soon," he whispered to the cub's pointy ears.

Shu Wei slightly shook his head although he definitely felt happy for his youngest son.

****************

Moon Village was only about few kilometers away from the plateau. And it only took them a little less than two hours walking.

Shu Wei enjoys a good reputation in the village. He is familiar with village chief and the merchants so the father and son never met any animosity when they entered the village.

As soon as they set their feet in the village, they went straight to a famous mercant stall and looked for any scroll to their liking.

"It's been a while Shu We... Woah!" The merchant was about to greet Shu Wei when he noticed Shu Wei emitting a Sage realm aura. "You're finally a Sage!"
