60 BlackCrown: The First Year III Pt. 9

The black car that Nick was seated in slowed down as it parked in an open spot. Celia unbuckled her seatbelt and opened the door herself. Nick followed suit. Charles who drove them here did not get out of the car, instead he stayed seated.

"Charles is not coming?"

Nick asked.

It seemed that Celia took Charles wherever she went. He was her guide. For him not to come along was strange.

"No, he is staying there until we come back. Now shall we go in?"

Celia said lightly as she placed her hand out in the air, waiting for Nick to grab it.

She did need someone to help guide her around and since Charles was staying in the car that left only Nick.

Nick grabbed her hand and walked her towards the entrance. He thought her hands were soft and smooth.

The new mall was different from the other ones around. Instead of it rising up into the air, this one went down. On the outside, it looked like a medium-sized building but once you went inside it was a different story.

The two of them walked through the automatic doors and the first thing they were greeted by was an employee at a cosmetic store.

"Welcome Sir, are you or your lady interested perfecting your image?"

The employee did not give them anytime to answer as he pointed them in the direction of the store he worked at. With his hair pushed back and a suit to match, he had a fine appearance.

"Look no further than Snow White. Our products redefine you while making it look one hundred percent natural. Come, take a look inside."

In the employee's head, he thought about why would these two want to go into this store. They already looked amazing, what kind of product would make them look even prettier?

He had one script to read that would cause many to jump in joy and rush into the store. Yet, Nick was looking at him with no expression. It was like he was not fazed by the employee's words.

From the corner of his eye, he could see his boss looking through the window glaring at him. The employee saw that look many times, and every time his boss gave anyone that look they were either promoted or fired.

A cold sweat went down his back. He was asking himself if this job was even worth it anymore.

Enhance your looks? Whatever, total lies! He saw what the products really did. However, a job is a job.

He just really hoped that the two in front of him would take the bait.

"No thanks."

Nick replied to him.

Nick did not know it but those words crushed the employee. His job was about to go down the drain.

Nick started to walk away with Celia but the employee ran in front of him.

"Wait man! Look, I can understand why the young lady doesn't need our products but you on the other hand.. you can't even compare to her. Trust me on this, if you want her to stay with you, you need to have a look to match."

The employee really did not want to lose his job. He would say anything to have them at least enter the store. At least then his boss couldn't fire him.

Celia let out a small giggle causing the employee to look at her.

"What's funny young lady? Do you not care about his looks?"

The employee asked Celia.

Celia waved her hand.

"No, it's not that. It's just I can't see so how can I tell what he looks like. With or without your products?"

Celia explained to him.

Hearing what she said he took another look at her. He noticed, she didn't have her eyes open!

The employee started cursing in his head. How could he be so stupid!

"Honestly pal.. just do a brother a favor and enter the store ok? No need to buy anything. If you do find something you like I'll give you a thirty percent discount."

The employee had no other option but this one.

Every year each employee at Snow White was allowed to purchase two items with a huge discount. Compared to the fifteen percent the customers get every so often this was a steal.

How could anyone pass this up?

"Nick, let's just go in and take a look around. There might be something I'll use."

Celia said in a sweet voice.

Hearing her words the employee let out a breath of fresh air. At least the young lady was on his side.

"Alright."

Nick said.

From a glance, he could tell Celia did not wear any make-up. Her looks were natural, which is why he told the employee they were not interested. Nick figured from the way the employee was acting something was going to happen to him if he could not pull in a certain amount of customers. However, that was not Nick's problem.

"Glad you changed your mind. Right this way."

The employee did not miss a beat as he led them towards the store.

Snow White was quite large compared to other stores located in the mall. Two large windows with a white frame around them and a white gate in between the two.

Inside the store was a white marble floor that sparkled, easily attracting the eye. There was a feminine scent in the air as well.

The store was not packed but there were nine different couples wandering around the shop.

There were stands placed all around the store that held a variety of products. Face, body, skin, fragrances. If you could think of it, it was likely inside of this store.

Nick glanced down at the first product closest to the entrance. It was a small bottle that was six ounces. The price for it was a hundred and thirty dollars.

This place was too expensive. Even if these products did what they claimed it would not last forever. Nick shook his head and walked straight back out of the door.

"Why are we leaving?"

Celia asked Nick.

"You don't need those things. They would have the opposite effect on you."
