64 Chapter 63: Versus: Sinister Scales 3
"My... my arm!!!"
Lei Zhan watched as his arm splash onto the ground, releasing a howl of agony as the pain started to kick in.
Reacting almost instantly, Lei Zhan ignored his severed arm, charging towards Atlas without further flinching. "I will kill you, you bastard!"
Atlas raised his brows at this sight. [Indeed for an Axonn. His combat ability hasn't reduced by much.]
When Lei Zhan entered within the two meter proximity of Atlas, a gust of wind occurred, and a young boy with a dull look appeared in front of him, his blade inches away from slitting Lei Zhan's throat.
The dullness in Blade's pupils have nullified, replacing by ample brightness and curiosity.
"I envy your speed, Mr. Tristan. I see that you practice unique swordsmanship too." Blade grinned innocently as another young boy sauntered out the nearby building entrance, swinging the rapier that was usually attached by his waist.
[No wonder he's one of last to exit the Aura Accruing Pool. He's mad potent. And pretty bad ass I must say.]
{Nah. He's just getting rid of imaginary blood stains.}
[I think your right.]
"Everyone! Observe your surroundings with Spiritual Projection! There may be more hidden and ready to strike!" Borus yelled, quickly adjusting to the fact that he is about to lose another valuable Axonn.
"Not letting that happen. Louis, do your magic again!"
"Copy that."
Pressing his palms against the solid wall, the structure around him began vibrating as modified sound waves blasted from all directions outside through the fastest medium it can travel at.
Atop one of the higher buildings, Nova sat in his most comfortable position, scoping onto his target as a crow swooped in for a visit, gently perching on his shoulder.
As if trying to find out the reason why the boy is squinting into a weird device, the crow rested its head against his cheeks.
"Petal, at your location, do you mind distracting Adidas shirt guy at 7 o'clock to move east one step?"
"Sure."
Through many years of experience, the adidas Axonn sensed danger lurking behind him as Petal crept out, equipped with a glowing staff.
The adidas guy reacted to Petal's appearance from one of the buildings by stepping forward one step, in order to decrease the vulnerability of their battle formation.
What he didn't know, is that his temple has perfectly aligned with his teammates.
Nova remained fixated on his target and held his breath.
It helps him concentrate.
The crow stared at Nova's bloated cheek for a second, pecking it twice with confusion.
Nova charged up the .338 Lapua Magnum bullet resting in its chamber as his dark Aura crawled across the surface of his Lobaev Sniper, dying it an eerie shade.
His finger curved onto the trigger.
[Now!]
Silence added onto the silence.
The bullet zapped out without thrashing the tranquil mood, firing straight at its target, faster than wind.
The usual two meter radius of Spiritual Projection has now been reduced to 1 meter due to the covert interceptions.
Hong Zhe is in distraught with the constant disruption of his enemy, unknowing where to place his attention on.
All that until he sensed catastrophic danger entering his Spiritual Projection of one meter radius at incredible speed.
It's coming for his head.
————————
"Tear off my other arm! I dare you kid!" Blood veins pumped up his skin as Lei Zhan roared at Blade, inching his neck closer to Blade's blade.
Blade shrugged, giving Lei Zhan the idiot the most helpless look. Tristan's the one he should have asked.
"You asked for it."
A blinding flash slashed the air, followed by a mighty kick in the chest.
Lei Zhan flew backwards like a broken rag doll, knocked out beside an iron fence.
"Tier 3 Axonns from the Sinister Scales? So dumb." Blade shook his hand, tossing away the severed arm to Tristan.
Tristan on the other hand, stared blankly at the cleanly severed arm on his hands for seconds before turning to another direction, puking the stockpiled queasiness in his guts.
Witnessing this, Blade began bowing rapidly and apologetically. "That was meant for a greater good! I didn't know you'd react so..."
While the scenarios played on, haze of hatred has already formed over Borus. Even these kids are taunting him!
"Boss! Sni..." Borus immediately twisted his body to the direction of the distress wails, just in time to see a bullet with dark crack patterns penetrate Hong Zhe's skull, which its speed is unfazed by the impact, racing towards adidas man at its original pace.
"This mockery ends now!"
A howl escaped Borus's lungs as massive black claws protruded from his fist.
"Sinister Dragon Claw Volume 2!"
The sharp edges of the Aura claws collided with the speeding, blood drenched bullet, ceasing its forward movement permanently.
The rapid rotation of the drilling bullet remained constant, and Borus pinched it between his fingers, twisting his wrist.
Nova scoped onto Borus, shocked at his ability.
[He stopped my bullet!]
But despite his shock, Nova reloaded his rifle swiftly, preparing to land another shot by charging up for the next attack.
However, he immediately pulled back his Sniper, ducking for cover.
Borus was looking specifically at him, pointing the bullet like a dart at his direction.
"One down!"
A sonic boom fled to every direction, fluttering the clothes and surrounding flora to the opposite direction as the bullet travelled back to where it came from, punching a massive rift in the wall as few thin streams of blood ran down the rift of where Nova was hiding behind.
Borus blew the smoke on his fingers with a light breath of air as he continued to command his men. "One of our biggest threats have been eliminated. Zhou Yu. Fight that boy. The rest of you, combat the rest."
Atlas had no time to perceive the truth of Nova's current circumstance, but he knew Nova is definitely alive.
Now he needs to concentrate facing his opponent, a Tier 5 Tyro.
Fanning himself with a pink fan, Zhou Yu trotted to Atlas, his red nail polish dazzling for some reason.
"We don't care whether the Coiling Dragon Arena is backing you up or not, because you've angered us all." Zhou Yu gently ran his hand over his pale white skin, fanning himself again. "I'm Zhou Yu. They call me Duke, the second strongest man in the Sinister Scales. Nice to meet you."
Atlas snorted, grinning with mischief. "So this is the type of people Sinister Scales produces? Fanning yourself in such a cool weather? Even your voice sounds high and weird."
Hearing this, Zhou Yu expression has been replaced by ice cold anger and murderous intention. "Every opponent who's ever said that to me is dead meat!"
"Then today's an exception!" Atlas answered lightly.
"You've got guts. But I'll show you what the Duke is made of." Zhou Yu shut his open fan, folding it into his lethal weapon. There is a saying around the nearby Warrior community about the Sinister Scales. 'You'd rather fight the King than battle the Duke.'
Zhou Yu may seem polite, but he's in fact infamous for his maniacal fighting spirit and his inhumane fighting style.
"Kids are too arrogant these days. Zhou Yu can for sure take him down. Even I can't stop him in his enraged mode." The other Tier 5 Expert said. He has experienced duels with Zhou Yu, and he must say, Zhou Yu is truly powerful.
Zhou Yu has now leaped off the ground, cracking its surface and driving his iron fan at Atlas's throat.
Atlas remained at his position, and with a gentle reach of his arm, he caught the body of the iron fan.
Interesting.
Zhou Yu thought as he jerked the fan out. However, this handsome boy's grip is tighter than he expected.
What the hell? How is this boy so young yet so strong?
Zhou Yu cursed. This Tier 3 Axonn is defying his strength despite the 2 Tiers apart!
Finally pulling his weapon out, Zhou Yu chanted a technique, and a miniature tornado whipped out from thin air, rampaging towards Atlas in a straight line as he redirected his furious attacks from another direction.
"Just do some surgery in Thailand and change your gender dude." Atlas really can't stand the thick makeup powder smell drilling up his nostrils, taunting Zhou Yu as heavy violet Aura coated his fists.
"Taste this." Atlas dodged the miniature tornado with his fast reflexes, raining punches at the incoming Zhou Yu.
Zhou Yu successfully deflected the attacks with his iron fan, whereby the earth beneath him fractured slowly whenever Atlas lands his punch.
{Atlas. Behind you.} Nam warned. The miniature tornado is acting like a homing missile, altering its routine to collide with Atlas's vulnerable back.
[I've been through enough to gain the best instincts.]
"Hugh."
"Got it."
The earth behind Atlas rose and formed into a tunnel, redirecting the tornado until it subsided.
"You. Meet your target." Borus spotted the source of activation energy, commanding a Tier 2 Axonn to find Hugh.
"Sorry Atlas, I wouldn't have been spotted if I were an Axonn and had Spiritual Projection."
"No worries." Atlas obtained the upper hand as his onslaughts incrementally increased in force and capacity of Aura. "Blackbear, aid Hugh. Serpent, check on Nova and med him up with suitable Alchemy pills. I need both of your participations and handle the rest of Borus's forces. The rest of you, await for your next command."
Soon, the violent impacts and occasional electrifying shocks began hurting the inner organs of Zhou Yu, and a drop of blood slid down the corner of his mouth.
The confidence in Borus's eyes started to fade with every punch laid by Atlas.
If he becomes a Tier 4 Axonn, I will be no match for him!
I must exterminate him while he hasn't fully grown to his potential.
Borus eyed a signal to the other Tier 5 Axonn.
The man understood his signal— clear out the weak Axonns and reconcile.
About to land another punch at Zhou Yu, Atlas felt tremendous danger approaching on his left.
Atlas allowed himself to be distracted, frowning at the incoming fist with enormous black claws attached to it.
Two against one; one being a Tier 6 Axonn, leader of Sinister Scales; one being a Tier 5 Tyro, almost equivalent to himself.
It's an un-winnable situation.
"Dirty move for the mighty leader of the Sinister Scales." A longsword with extraordinary gleam clashed with 'Sinister Dragon Claws Volume 2', protecting Aroas from the sneak attack.
A tall and lean man with beautiful brown eyes cleared the danger for Atlas, clouting his longsword to shift Borus to a different location. "I really dislike my cousin's appointed fiancé."
He ignored Borus's fierce scowls as he fought against him, continuing to talk to Atlas. "She guessed correctly about you constantly doing stupid crap. Still, you're the best choice for now, so I'm supporting you full on on this battlefield."
