68 Enraged Ancestors 2
Diako Nagakiri stepped forward. He wanted to have a little fun, and to be honest that last attack hurt line a son of a bitch. As Diako Nagakiri stepped forward he was already performing hand seals. A green spiritual energy quickly spread out from him. Very soon it started to take the form of a giant viper.
"I am among a very rare few cultivators who were born with a spirit totem. This gives me one downfall bit many benefits instead. The one downfall is that I unfortunately have no elemental affinity to speak of, but the great upside is that I gain the strength and characteristics of my spirit totem once I awaken it. My amazingly powerful spirit totem is the Naga! That's where my name comes from." Diako Nagakiri with a strange look that was a mixture of worship and insanity as he watched his spirit totem grow arms and a humanoid upper body.
Diako Nagakiri's spirit totem released an immense pressure when it was fully awakened. As soon as its n body became more tangible it released an explosive roar that threatened to rupture their eardrums.
Jampa stepped forward when he saw this immense beast. He was the only ancestor who reached the peak as a body cultivator. He was also ther tallest of them standing over seven feet tall. Unlike the other ancestors her looked less frail and wasn't hunched over in his old age. He began to fill his body with spiritual energy. His body bulged and his muscles grew to twice their original size. Even though he looked like a toddler standing before a giant, the energy he released was in no way inferior to the Naga's.
The Naga wasted no time and threw a punch at Jampa. Jampa was not in the least bit intimidated and retaliated with a punch of his own. The shockwave feelin the connecting fist was felt by everyone all around the abyss. Right afterwards Jampa and the Naga disappeared from where they were. Those who were observing the battle but their cultivation was too low couldn't see anything, all they hear and felt were a series of rapid fire explosions in the air. Even ther ancestors and the brothers were having a hard time following their speed.
The naga beast was feeling frustrated. How could this puny insignificant human possible match it in strength. Seeing this Jampa began to smirk. He initially thought that this would be a terrifying fight and he should have to go all out justy to be able to barely contend with this beast. But in the end a beast was still just a beast. It's incredible strength and speed were its only outstanding attributes. Jampa so far had to only use about fifty percent of his strength and skills in order deal with the Naga.
Diako Nagakiri was amazed as well. Nothing about this new world made any sense. They could clearly feel that ther spiritual energy of this planet was gradually increasing, and it was coming from the abyss where the portal to their world was located. So it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the only spiritual energy in this world was what leaked thru from theirs. And since this portal has only been open for about a month or so, how is it possible to have cultivators of this power level in a world void of spiritual energy. It made absolutley no sense to Diako Nagakiri and his brothers. Diako Nagakiri had never run into a situation where his spirit totem was ever being dominated so thoroughly using it's best abilities.
While Diako Nagakiri was dazed and confused Jampa knew that he couldn't ley this drag out for too much longer. Neither could the other ancestors. Even though they were wholeheartedly enjoying being able to use their abilities and fighting to their fullest, unfortunately time is a cruel mistress. You may delay her for as long as possible but in the end she always comes collecting. Jampa caught the Naga's fists with his abs then flipped backward 360° and slammed an axe kick onto the Naga's head sending it plummeting to the ground. Jampa flew back over to the other ancestors. Eventhough he seemed fine the others could tell by his breathing that that took a big toll on him. But even so Jampa had a huge smile on his face when he said, "That felt incredible!!" and began laughing afterward.
Diako Nagakiri was infuriated!
"How dare you old bag old bag of bones have the gal to disrespect my spirit totem in such a way!! I'll kill you! I'll kill you! I'll kill you all!!"
As Diako Nagakiri ranted in complete hysterics his spirit totem floated up and superimposed over his body. Instead of going back inside of him, Diako Nagakiri slowly began to grow as the Naga slowly began to shrink. Diako Nagakiri's upper torso muscles began to enlarge like those of the Naga. His limbs became more flexible almost as if they lacked bones. When his transformation was complete her was a hulking behemoth of a man.
"We were going to play around with you a little longer but I no longer care to. For ther disrespect that you've shown my spirit totem there can be no forgiveness. Before you die line my enlighten you with a little tale. For people born with spirit totems life is always very difficult. I was fortunately born to a wealthy clan so I was identified at birth as having a spirit totem. Normally it goes unidentified and you go your whole life as a meer mortal never being able to cultivate.
My brothers and I have different mothers bit share the same father. We're all born a few days apart from each other. When it found out that I had a spirit totem my father was ecstatic. Our clan had people born with spirit totems in the past so we'r knew how to awaken them. But ther process to awaken a spirit totem in a child is very cruel. A family elder takes the child to an area known to be infected with spiritual beast. The child is then dropped in this area with no food or weapon or any understanding of why it is happening to them. They then must stay there until either they awaken their spirit totem or they die.
As I was left all alone I began to feel as if my family had abandoned me. Constantly begging hounded by spiritual beast who were trying to eat me wore my fragile little mind away. They eventually cornered me till I couldn't run anymore. All I wanted to do at that time was to live. I vowed that I would forever worship whatever power out the could save me. I was so desperate and afraid that my tears had turned to blood. I had a stick in my hand that I was using to keep the beast away, but one of the beast bit it and yanked it out of my hands. Suddenly there was a throbbing pain in my chest. I thought life was going to do me a small favor and have my heart give out before I was eaten alive. As the spiritual beast lunged at me the last thing I saw was a glaring green light before I passed out.
When I awoke I saw my Naga spirit hovering over me, protecting me. And all the spiritual beast that were there to eat me were lying on ther ground dead. From that moment on I promised to fulfill my vow and worship my nana spirit till the day I die.
