Heavenly Unmatched

30 Encounter

His blade and Dominic's continued to point at each other while his fist and Mogni's were also pointed at one another. A silent but serious deadlock! Both sides not saying a word and are ready to draw blood.

Samael's eyes glowed a gleaming red shine, this was probably the very first time that he got this serious since he got to this realm. Even without the Terminus Frozen Moon art his demeanor totally turned cold and sharp, like a sword that primed to kill.

"You're fast but not enough..." With a seemingly calm yet cold tone, Samael said.

He then turned towards his right where Mogni was. His right and Mogni's were still touching, though they moved at fast speeds he still saw Mogni's actions.

This despicable bastard got his other fist near his stomach...he's good.

"...Your good." Samael sighed and relaxed, he lowered but his arms and stabbed the katana into the ground.

"Same to you." Mogni replied with a taunting gesture with his hands.

With a deathly stare at Mogni, he then began to move.

A light hop, followed by a sudden explosion of speed, Samael quickly closed the distance. A layer of Ice covered his knuckles and his hard fist made its way toward's Mogni's face. This was a powerful punch, even by Samael's standards, if his Ice-covered fist found its way to his face, Mogni wouldn't just worry about a broken nose but a disfigured face.

"Stop right there!"

Woosh!

Samael's fist stopped only a few centimeters from Mogni's face when an unknown guy suddenly shouted. His voiced carried Energy essence which only those who have mastered infusing essence to their spiritual roots can do! This guy's an expert...

The crowd surrounding them opened a two men wearing a teacher's uniform walked towards them.

"What do you think your doing! Fighting, first thing in morning?! Tell me your names." The leading teacher angrily shouted.

The Leading teacher was rather young but from his eyes you could see that he was an extremely experienced fighter. His body was a bit bulky, add that with his explosive hair and you can tell that he had the character of a brawler.

The one behind him was a young woman who seemed timid but Samael could feel something dangerous from her. She was a bit small and had a short hair-style, she also wore glasses. This female teacher seemed to be one of those clumsy teacher type.

Hearing the Leading teacher's question, both Dominic and Mogni gave their names.

"Dominic Pierce"

"Mogni Saluk"

The teacher nodded to them before turning to Samael. Who was still in the fighting mood so his cold aura hasn't subsided yet. But still...he did manage to squeeze out his name after taking a deep breath.

"Samael..."

Displeased with his attitude, the teacher harruphmed "Humph, I don't care which family you belong to. In this academy only strength matters but violence is strictly unadvised so if you three have some sort of grudge take them to the Dueling Grounds."

All three of them, Samael, Dominic and Mogni quickly made eye contact with the teacher after hearing what he said. Indeed, things couldn't just end this way so a fight at the dueling ground should fix that.

"...That said, usage of any academic facilities aside the dorm, classroom and stores requires sufficient Academic points."

"Academic points?" From the crowds, the newcomers started bustling and asking those beside them what that meant.

"U-uhm, Academic Points are g-given as rewards from completing missions undertaken by the student. I-it can be used to exchange valuable materials such as herbs and other natural oddities."

Hearing this, the students started clamoring. The leading teacher started to get annoyed then turned to the three cause of this chaos.

"You three better stop causing trouble, if i see you three again I will make you regret entering this academy."

With that, he took off along with the female teacher. Left with an expecting crowd, all three of them were still kinda itching for a fight but with the rules of the academy they had to back off for now.

"Humph, I'll let you off for now, commoner but when we meet in the tournament I will put you down. Come!" Dominic sneered, ordering the men who was beaten by Samael earlier, looks like they were his acquaintances.

These men slowly stood up, wearing sneering smiles on their face as they looked at Samael. Especially the man holding the long box, he was hugging that box like it meant his everything.

Swoosh!

He was about to turn when a dark silvery glint passed by from behind him and stabbed to the ground just before him. It was the Katana that Samael took.

"I will take them back in a proper match...hold on to them till then. But if you dare to sell or even break them...I will kill you."

Shivers ran wild across his body before he recalled something and he said "As if you have the guts to kill a noble like me, inside the academy no less. You will be hunted down by my family and the academy's disciplinary department if do so."

To this Samael coldly said "Like i give a damn..." then he turned around and went back to the dorm.

Along the way he saw some familiar faces rushing towards him, three beautiful ladies to be exact.

"You little rascal, first day here and you're already causing trouble!" The fastest to reach him was Princess Lina who immediately knocked him on his head.

"How was it?" An unusual question entered Samael's ears when Silvia spoke.

Smiling Samael answered " We were still holding back so i don't know their full capabilities but i am confident of beating them."

But to his answer all he got was a simple nod before Silvia turned around. Seeing this, Samael warily smiled, he had the impression that Silvia seems to be angry.

"I've sent word to the castle just like you ask and indeed there was two weapons sent there and they were already sent here." Lina said after calming down but she couldn't hide that interested smile on her face as if she just found her next toy when she saw how these two acted.

"So those really were yours?" Stella asked.

Samael nodded and they began to walk back to the dorm. After a small chat, they then went back to their own room. Nothing else happened that night and Samael, like other students spent the night cultivating.

When next morning came, Samael came across a large, long box placed outside the door.

"What? Is it yours?" Julius asked, he was less awkward now, they were roommates after all. They had to talk one way or another.

"I think so."

Samael picked up the box and carried it back to the room. When he opened the box, he saw the familiar katana yesterday.

"Woah, what a beautiful blade..." To his side, Julius was entranced by the blade. As a knight he grew up seeing different edged-weapons and he is extremely interested in them.

"Hold it then." Samael smiled seeing this guy next to him who was itching to hold it.

Julius had his eyes glued to the blade since he saw it, now that he was holding it in his hands he started to play with it behind Samael. Slowly moving the blade, understanding and figuring out what movements suited such a weapon.

What interest Samael the most was the other weapon inside the box. It had the length of almost two meters, the shaft was made from Deep Sea Titanium which gave it a bluish hue, it also had a simple wavy design along the shaft. The spear head was only a bit over 30 centimeters, it had a double groove along the blade and you can see how sharp the blade is from the shine of it.

Samael took hold of the shaft and lifted the spear, the light bounced off of the blade as it was lifted.

"Damn..." Seeing this beautiful spear, even Julius who was glued to the Katana was unable to ignore the charm of this weapon.

Samael gave it a twirl and a light trust, wind ran across their room and thankfully nothing broke. Satisfied, he gave traced the edge of the blade before keeping it inside his storage ring. He also stretched his hand out to Julius and asked him to give back the Katana.

Albeit slightly unwilling, Julius still gave him the blade. After keeping the Katana, the two of them went down and to the central plaza. It looks like all newcomers were being gathered.

"You two are late." It didn't take them long to find Lina and the others.

"Sorry about that, so what's this about?" Samael scratched his head and asked.

To this Lina only smiled at him and said "You'll soon find out."

Several Academy teachers walked forward and began distributing a scroll to each students. Samael and the others were fairly in the outer area of the crowd hence they received their scrolls a little bit late. But they did find it weird that Lina among other students didn't get a scroll from the teachers.

A teacher then floated up and announced. "Listen! Those of you here who received a scroll means you're a new student here. Newcomers are always assigned to a mission and your mission is written inside that scroll."

With that said, the students then opened their scrolls one by one. Soon enough the students started clamoring, talking about their missions, some of them even complained about theirs. Some student got subjugation missions, delivery missions, hunting missions and other variety of missions.

After giving the students some time to take in the situation, the teacher spoke once again. "Quiet down, these mission all have the same amount of rewards. What the academy is testing you, is how dedicated you are to completing the mission. You are also allowed to team up and it is up to you how to split the rewards, afterwards. Do remember that you have a week to complete the mission. That is all, dismissed!"

The teachers then slowly walked away and it didn't take a while for chaos to ensue at the plaza. Students pestering other students to team up with them. Those who seemed strong got asked unceasingly, there were a lot who witnessed Samael's brief exchange of moves with Dominic and Mogni so he was asked by a ton of students but all of them were rejected.

Countless males approached Silvia in hopes of teaming up with her but her usual coldness showed when strangers approached her. Stella was also bothered by many males but somehow they all changed their minds once they got close to her.

As they walk back to the dorm Lina asked "So...what are your missions?"

"Bandit hunting" Samael said.

"Escort Mission" Julius followed.

"Archaic beast hunting" Then Silvia.

"Delivery Mission." And finally Stella."

It was a rather quick talk because they had reached the dorm. Lina then asked them if they wanted to team up but Samael, Silvia and Julius instantly rejected the idea.

Julius quickly bid goodbye and went ahead, leaving Samael with a group of girls again.

"And why don't you want to team up with Little Silvia? Don't tell me you don't like her anymore." Lina got close to Samael and whispered.

"Quit spouting nonsense, I never said that." Samael calmly responded.

"Oh? So you do like her, hehe." Lina then followed up with a sneaky smile.

Samael cursed deep inside and then ignored her. He turned to Silvia and said.

"You and I still have a bet right?"

Silvia tilted her head and asked. "What about it?"

Samael responded with a smile "Then how about this? First one to complete their mission can give one command the user cannot refuse."

"Deal." Silvia quickly replied without giving it much thought.

"Really, just like that?" Samael who was expecting her to hesitate after their first bet at the special space was dumbfounded by her reply.

"What? Don't tell me you don't have any confidence in yourself. Try your best to catch up, okay?" Silvia unusually broke character and acted haughtily, riling up Samael the she seemed to unknowingly ended it with a seductive last look before she went ahead.

Stella caught a glimpse of Samael before she rushed to catch up with Silvia, desperately trying to keep her laughter in check

Samael was genuinely caught unguarded and hurriedly covered his face with his left hand. He was bitting his lip and was desperately trying to keep himself from smiling.

Lina was surprised at the side before she sneakingly smiled at Samael "Wow, though unintentional, she caught you off guard there, didn't she?"

But Samael didn't answer, he turned away while trying his best to calm down.

"That girl...hahaha, that was way too unexpected." Samael honestly didn't know what to say.

But he could feel how hot his face was right now, he was really caught off-guarded by that flirty, captivating look she unintentionally gave at the end. He knew he was blushing real hard right, if it was any other guy, they would have fallen hard for Silvia right now but Samael was still a bit hesitant.

Nonetheless, he did enjoy this feeling.
