Heavenly Unmatched

33 For Blood Shall fall...

Leisurely walking towards the cave entrance Samael kept exuding a massive amount of killing intent but it was such a shame that none of these bandits were experienced enough to sense it.

As he neared the entrance he could clearly hear the sounds of drunken men and the moans of women. Those must be the women they've abducted in the past...

Samael entered the cave entrance and he saw that the bandits dug downwards and made a spacious cavity within the mountain. They even made separate compartments for their haul and captured women.

He quietly hid in the shadows, making mental marks of the enemies' location in his head. There were at least a hundred of them, maybe even more but as he scanned the whole cave there was something that caught his attention.

North-east of his direction there were three men sitting at a table, drinking beer. From a single sniff, Samael could tell these were the ones who murdered Casey's mom. His muscles bulged and his killing intent surged even further but he forced himself to refrain from attacking.

He heard them talking...

"Damn, that bitch almost took my arm!" The one who spoke was a blonde, short man with a typical good boy looks but now he looked twisted.

"Hahaha! That's what you get when you pushed a woman like that to the edge." His friend laughed off. This one had a large build and looked like the typical bully.

"But still...man, she was so hot! I'd bet it would feel heavenly to bed such a woman." The last one on their table spoke. He looked very plain like he had no defining feature except for that scar on under his left eye.

The short blonde one then harrumphed "I would gotten a feel of it, if it wasn't for that damn bastard suddenly disturbing us."

and then the plain one spoke "Man...you're one twisted fuck. The woman was dead and you still wanted to have a go? Damn..."

Followed up with the blonde's retort "So what? Her body was still warm, I'd reckon it would've felt great."

Lastly the large one downed his cup and said "You twisted son of a bitch...Well, anyway no use dwelling on the past...Drink!"

The other two followed suit but they didn't know that their words just signed their death sentence.

Samael heard the whole thing and it pushed him to his absolute limits. Not only did these bastards murdered Casey's mother, one of them was even twisted enough to even consider desecrating her corpse.

Unforgivable...

Samael's left hand stretched outwards and he took hold of his new spear, on his right his Katana.

Jumping upward Samael streaked through the air with a black trail, coming from his black lightning. Both weapons in his hands, primed to kill and his mind focused on one thing.

Kill!

Bam!

"Ack! Huc!" Suddenly there was a sudden sound of wood being broken and a man on his dying breath.

Samael pierced through that blonde shorty's torso with his spear like lightning striking the ground. He made sure to twist the spear head, skewering his insides. Making sure that this scumbag suffered for what his done.

"Ahh!" Those woman who were serving the bandits screamed in terror and quickly ran deeper inside.

The blonde shorty's friends staggered back before charging in anger.

"Damn you, bastard!" the plain one screamed.

"I'll strangle you for that, you little creep!" the large one shouted.

Samael sees them rushing towards him like it was in slow motion, he smirked and thought to himself.

With just yourselves? Know your place!

Boom!

Suddenly it was like thunder roared inside the cave, all who heard it covered their ears and closed their eyes. Next thing they saw was the two men who charged towards Samael slowly fall, dead on their feet, their heads slowly disconnecting with their necks.

Blood gushed from the three men's bodies, Samael stared at the remaining bandits who began to take out their weapons and form their ranks.

"Heh..." Samael smirked but this time it looked sinister.

He quickly picked up his spear and charged towards his enemy. With his speed he traversed the distance with a single step, instantly arriving in front of the bandits.

Though these bandits at the front was shocked by his speed, they were ready enough to react at the last moment. One of them swung his sword in a horizontal sweep.

Sadly, they were too slow. Samael ducked under and spun clockwise followed by a sweeping strike. His spear cleaved through the first bandit, digging deep into the second one's sides and swept three of four more to the side.

Samael quickly followed with a spin and a series of attack, decapitating two other bandit. When a group of them got behind him and simultaneously thrust their swords at him. He jumped up. Their swords hit nothing but air and their own comrades' swords.

Mid-air, Samael adjusted his position before thrusting his spear downwards, breaking the bandit's interlocked swords. His spear dug into the ground like a pole then Samael placed his left hand onto the butt of the spear and unsheathed his Katana with his right. With precise body control he used his spear like a pole, swinging around it all the while using his Katana to kill those around him.

The bandits continued dropping dead one after another.

Now that Samael had gone in and broken their ranks, going on a complete rampage. Many of them slowly staggered back, fear gripping their hearts. They continued to hear the dying screams of their comrades who worked with them for years. Some of them were even their friends.

But Samael doesn't give a damn at all...

"You fools! He's just one person, surround him god damn it!" One of the older looking bandits screamed, this woke the other bandits from their fear-stricken state and they charged in, angered.

Boom!

"Wah!"

"Ohh!"

Again there was a sudden sound of explosion, a lot of the bandits who surrounded Samael got thrown to the air when Samael struck his spear on the ground, releasing a huge amount of black lightning.

When they reached the ground, many of them had burnt flesh and they screamed in pain.

"Damn it! This guy's a monster!"

"Run!"

"Run for your lives!"

Finally, fear took hold of them and they completely lost their will to fight. Many of them started to push one another towards the exit.

"Running away? Oh, we can't have that, can we?" Samael noticed what they were planning and snickered.

He jumped up, stapped his spear on his back. Stretching both hands outwards, frost started to gather around him, gradually turning into a sharp fist-size icicles before he shot them towards the bandits who were trying to escape.

"Ack!"

"Ugh!"

One by one, these bandits got mowed down by the hail of icicles that pierced their bodies. Some of them got pierced in the skulls, killing them instantly. This can even be called a mercy as they didn't suffered like the others who writhed in pain.

"Alright let's finish this!" Samael stated.

He then charged forward, killing his way using "Orion's Luminous Spear" and "Ring's of Saturn" to decimate his opponents. Occasionally, he would use his Mirage combined with "Mercurial Step" to switch places making it sure that he thoroughly killed every one of them.

It didn't take him long to kill the remaining bandits who struggled. Blood, flesh and the bodies of the dead littered the floor. Even the perpetrator was stained in their blood but he himself didn't mind it.

And since this was a prime opportunity, Samael activated the "Celestial Blood Leviathan" art together with the "Imperial Blood Emblem". A faded blood-colored wings erupted from Samael's back, it looked enchanting but at the same time it felt ephemeral.

Then all the blood around from the corpses, started fly towards him circling to his mouth like a storm. The blood entered his mouth but it did not go to his stomach but was converted by his Blood arts

The blood-colored wings on his back started to glow red before fading. Once all the blood was absorbed by him Samael said "As expected of the blood of these scumbags, only few is worthy to be called 'good'"

Though he complained about the quality of the blood, Samael was still pleased that his physique art started to make some progress. If he continue to absorb large amount of blood, he'll be able to achieve his bloodline's physique.

He went further down the cave system to look for Casey, also because this is where the women run to.

When he got down, it was but a long, fairly-lit hallway with a bunch of metal cell rooms on the side. As he walked along the hallway, he glanced around and saw a bunch of women chained inside the cells. Their eyes lost the will to live, you can already tell that they've experienced hell.

He could free them but what will they do from here on out? Also they were not his priority.

When Samael reached the end of the hallway there was a large cell where he saw a bunch of children hobbled together trembling. Inside were a couple of women he saw running away earlier, they were holding the child, comforting them, turning their head away from him.

It looked like they were ready to lay down their lives for these children, at least some of them did. So they can't be bad guys, right?

He swung his spear and broke open the metal bars but this scared the children and the women even more.

Samael raised his spear and every one inside closed their eyes in fear, they thought he was gonna kill them.

Clang!

But all they heard was the sound of metal hitting the floor. Turns out that Samael cut off the chains that shackled the Children.

"Free the other women, take what ever that you can and leave." Samael then threw the keys to the cell that he conveniently grabbed along the way.

The women were dumbstruck at first, they didn't dare to believe that what was happening was real. But soon enough it hit them that this was indeed reality!

They gently placed the children to the side and quickly ran towards the other cells, freeing the other women.

Soon enough all the imprisoned women were freed and some of them meekly walked up to Samael as he was scanning through the children to find Casey.

"Uhm..."

"Hmm?" Samael noticed them and turned around.

"Are you sure we can take whatever we want?"

"Yes, as long as you can carry them." Samael was already sure that these women didn't carry any storage tools and they could only care much of the treasure and gold littered around the cave but not all of it.

Plus, this could help them start a new life.

Samael turned back to searching for Casey and finally he saw the girl, one the women who didn't leave the children was holding.

He walked towards her but she inched back, it seems she was still a bit hesitant. The girl in her arms started to wake up, she saw Samael and recognized him.

It was indeed Casey...

Casey started to get teary-eyed and squirmed out of the woman's arms and ran towards Samael.

"Big brother!"

He held and carried her in his arms, rocking her, trying to calm her down. "There, there, little one. Were you scared?"

"Mnm." The child continuously nodded her head while crying on his shoulder.

Samael's face started to soften and then he looked at the remaining children and the last woman who remained.

"Why did you not go with the other women?" he asked.

The woman was still young but she had the mature air around her. She looked simple but had a certain charm to her. She stared straight at Samael's eyes and replied.

"If I did, who would take care of these children?"

Though he didn't claim to know humans well, Samael was sure that there wasn't a shred of falsehood in her words. This woman was honestly worried for the children.

"Commendable..." His words left the woman dumbfounded but then he continued.

"You are right, as they are now they would need someone to protect them and return them to their parents. Why don't you do it?"

"Me?" The woman asked.

"Yes, you. I can see in your eyes your genuine care for them."

"Yeah! Big sister kept me safe and stayed by my side during the night." Casey added with a smile

The woman heard this but still hesitated before saying "But I'm just a normal person, I'm not a cultivator like you..."

Samael smiled after hearing her word "Well, that easy to fix. Wait a moment."

He then gently put Casey down and took a couple pieces of paper and pen. Samael's hand then transformed into a blur as words began to be written. The woman took a peek at what was being written and even being a normal person she was sure that what Samael was writing was a cultivation techniques.

Samael was indeed writting a couple of cultivation techniques and combat arts. After he was done he rolled them into a scroll before giving them to the woman.

"Take it, it's a couple of cultivation arts. Practice them well and it should allow you to protect these children till you find their parents. You can even teach them some of it if you want."

The woman didn't know what to do when Samael suddenly pushed the scrolls to her hands. But her mouth opened and she asked.

"W-why?"

Samael was taken aback by her question but he answered her with a smile "Because I believe you can do a better job at it than I do."

He then carried Casey again before he started to walk back up.

"I'll leave enough gold for you and the children, you can use one of the Storage rings upstairs to store them. Use them well."

"Bye-bye, Big Sister~" Casey knew that she had to say goodbye now.

Seeing them leaving, the Woman had one last question.

"Wait. Your name, what is your name?"

Hearing this Samael turned back and said

"Samael...Bloodfallen"

As Samael walked back up he used one of his hands to cover Casey's eyes. After all this room or hall was littered with the bodies of the dead, not a scene a child should see.

Samael could see that there were a couple of the treasure was gone, those women must've taken them but he was right, they couldn't take it all. The majority of the gold and treasure was still here. None of those women were cultivators so even if there were a couple of Storage rings here, they couldn't use it.

He walked around and kept a large amount of these gold and treasure and plundered what he could from the corpses. In the end, he ended up with a large amount of money. But he still left a huge amount for that woman and the children, he estimated that it should last them for a couple of months.

Lastly, before he exited the cave with Casey, he stored the decapitated head of three men who was believed to be the leader of this Bandit group and the target of his mission.

As he exited the cave and with a heavy heart he tapped Casey's back and said.

"Let's go and see your mother..."
