58 Siren lure
Upon reaching the land, the first thing he did is to scan the area for threats. Not spotting anything that's visible he checked the map by the corner of his eyes and confirmed that the area is safe.
The island isn't big as he could see the other end of it from where he is but that doesn't mean it is small either.
He and Val then quickly set up and light a fire pit using the driftwood and dry branches around the island, there weren't many trees but there are enough berry bushes to provide them dinner and probably breakfast.

As there were no animals around, he started taking out his ingredients. since it was a rare chance, he might as well prepare his alchemy ingredients.
Be it the roots, flower petals, branches, leaves, fruits or even seeds and monster cores. He prepared them all by either cutting, drying, grinding or extracting the plant essence.
At these few days he took for it, he also completed the daily quest that he had been neglecting. Swinging the hammer is easy as he just needs to swing it randomly but he had not had the chance to make potions all this time, costing him quite a large amount of RP in his opinion. But with the free time he has, it could at least lessen it even though it's probably late.
During the time he is preparing ingredients and making potions, Val has been doing nothing but reading or occasionally help him with what he's doing, sometimes she would poke him or shake him but he just ignores them.
After the quest refreshed 5 times, he finally finished with all the piles he has collected, at least those that didn't need advanced tools. When he finishes stashing everything away, he found Val at the far corner of the island, stuffing herself with berries as she stares into the sea.
"Anything caught your interest?" He asked her as she rarely pays attention to anything else but him, books, or the slime, which is currently used as some sitting pillow.
Still chewing, Val pointed towards the sea then gesture towards her ears. At first, he was confused as to what she's implying but he decided to pay close attention to the sea with his hearing. Only then did he noticed a faint yet melodious voice coming from the far distant.

Surprised by the sudden notification, he narrowed his eyes as he glare into the far horizon. He doesn't like it one bit that something is trying to play with his mind. He then turns to Val, wondering if she also currently under effect or just interested in the voice.
Looking over the island once again, he decided to have it with nature, walk to the nearest tree and with one punch, brought it down.
He continued to do so until he brought all the trees down before collecting a bunch of plant fiber from the plants around. By the time he is done, he had made a rough makeshift raft.
He doesn't believe that it will take him far but he is confident it could at least get him to wherever that voice comes from.
Easily lifting it, he brought it and set it down on the water before climbing on, followed by Val and the slime. For maneuvering on water, he didn't make an oar, instead, he made a rotateable sail and used wind magic to push it.
Although he is making this journey out of spite, he is actually kinda excited with the idea or roaming the sea. Another reason is that the stairs to the next floor aren't on the island so he still needs to venture out anyway.
Using a combination of [Dry] and [wind cutter], he created a strong draft to push the makeshift sail and cut through the wave at a steady pace.
It didn't take long until he finally reaches the coral reef where the voice came from. There, sitting on one of the coral with it's back against him, what look like a half person half fish are singing the beautiful tune.
He was about to push the raft closer when he caught a slight movement in the water. Frowning, he keeps his guard up as he slowly moves the raft.
Just as he got near the singing creature, something jumps out of the water, followed by another, then another and another. Soon there is a horde of what looks like mini sharks jumping out of the water towards him and Val.
Although they have the numerical advantage, both him and Val are faster and stronger, they easily dispatch any that come close to them. That, however, only until the singing creature join in by shooting a torrent of water.
Although it looks beautiful from behind, its face looks like a complete nightmare. It's sickly green and wrinkled skin coupled by its oversized lips and bulging eyes, add in the jagged teeth and you have a crossbreed between some fish and some frog.

Taking a glance at the creature's status, he felt a bit confused as to why such a weak creature is here among all the strong monsters of the dungeon.
"Val, take care of that thing, I'll cover you!" Nodding to his command, Val dashed towards the creature, using the fish like mobs as platforms.
The creature seems to understand the danger brought by Val as it tried to shoot her down but she easily evades them.
Taking the siren down with one swift strike, Val quickly retreats back to the raft before Vayne made a strong gust and push the raft away from the hungry crowds.
Sailing a few miles away, he could finally breathe a sigh of relief as the mobs did not follow him. Checking the condition of the raft, he is glad that the damages from the battle were not even as bad as he thought it would be.
Sitting down, he leans towards the mast and let the natural wind to take them anywhere in the sea. As he closes his eyes and just feels the breeze on his skin, he felt Val sat beside him and leans on his shoulder. Somehow he felt slight comfort from it.
'may tomorrow be another adventurous day.' he thought before falling asleep.
