164 Visiting Salt Flat 2
Therius saw Emma's enthusiasm and smiled.
"Then, let's eat and get ready," he said.
Emma nodded happily and immediately enjoyed her piece of grilled meat. They said no more.
After she finished eating, Emma decided to clean her face in the river and change into warmer clothing. Ahh, the temperature in Daneria was indeed freezing. She almost shivered.
Fortunately, Emma was a pyromancer, so she could warm herself easily. She could imagine that ordinary people who went on adventures like them would have experienced so many challenges from nature here.
"You guys, don't you dare peek," she told the men as she took a change of clothes from her bag and hurried off behind the gigantic tree that Xion had moved to give her shade during her nap.
Without waiting for the two men to respond, Emma had waved her right hand. Suddenly the large tree branch was filled with vines dangling down all the way to the ground, forming some kind of curtain that blocked people's view. She created a private changing room just for her.
Xion threw a smile at Therius. "It turns out that a herbomancer's abilities have many uses."
Therius nodded. "Yes."
The two of them had changed into comfortable clothes before they slept and they were warm enough now. There was no need for them to change like Emma. Therius and Xion just washed up and tidied up their belongings. Then they got ready and wait for Emma in the travs.
Five minutes later, Emma was also ready. She got in the travs looking fresh and practical. Her long platinum hair was flowing down to her waist, to keep her warm, making her look even more stunning than usual.
For a moment, Therius was amazed.
"Let's go, so we have more time to see the salt flat," said Emma.
Therius nodded and immediately started the engine. He drove the flying vehicle towards the East.
The scenery below was not as beautiful as when they flew on travs during the day. Emma could not see the beautiful forests, mountains, and valleys that filled the surface of Planet Daneria.
However, the view before them and above them was truly mesmerizing. The travs' transparent roof, that was closed to keep them warm inside, allowed them to see billions of stars in the night sky and the two large moons.
Their journey was relaxing and enjoyable. Two hours later, they arrived at the place Therius meant. As far as the eye could see, they saw a whitish flat land that looked like it had a shiny surface. However, the it didn't look as clear as a mirror as Therius had said.
The three of them exchanged glances.
"Why doesn't the salt flat look clear like before?" Xion asked in puzzlement. "It used to be really clear like a mirror."
Therius looked around them and chuckled. "Ah, I remember now. It was raining here the day before we arrived. The water on the salt made the surface look transparent and clear, reflecting the view from the sky."
Xion nodded. "Ah, that must be it."
He cast his glance around him and sighed.
Emma smiled faintly when she heard what the two said. Bringing down rain was an easy thing for her. It looked like the men forgot that she was a hydromancer since she rarely used that power of hers.
With a wave of her right hand, the girl immediately sent rain onto the salt flat in front of them, not too much, just enough to wet the surface.
Sure enough, in not too long, they had already seen the glittering salt flat reflected the night sky above them.
"Whoaaa ..." Emma sighed in admiration as she looked ahead of them. She was about to walk out to the middle of the dry lake when Therius grabbed her hand gently.
"We will ride the travs to the middle of the lake," said the young man. "No need to walk there."
"Oh, okay." Emma nodded. She returned to the travs with Therius and Xion. Minutes later, they were moving toward the middle of the salt flat which now looked like it was part of the outer space. Emma held her breath with awe. The beauty was literally breathtaking!
As far as the eye could see, she saw only the stars, the moons, and various other celestial objects. Emma felt like she was floating in space and surrounded by billions of stars.
The feeling in her chest couldn't be described in words.
When Therius landed the travs in the middle of the salt flat, the three got out of the vehicle and stood upright, admiring their surroundings.
"This is .. amazing ..." Emma whispered to herself.
She felt like, even if she had to die tomorrow, her life would have been complete because she had witnessed such wondrous beauty.
At that moment, Emma felt her chest was filled with awe and emotion because she had seen a sight that she had never imagined in her life.
The girl stood still and forgot about her surroundings. Xion stared at the same sky and chuckled in awe, while Therius stared at Emma from the side, and his lips turned into a faint smile at the girl's mesmerized expression.
Ah ... it turned out that bringing Emma here was the right decision. He knew Emma would enjoy the view here.
They all stood still and admired the view for half an hour. Then, Xion started yawning.
"I think I'll go back to sleep," said the young man. "I didn't sleep well earlier"
He stretched his body and walked back towards the travs nonchalantly. Emma just glanced at him for a second and looked back at the sky. She was completely enamored. She would never have enough with this beauty. She could look at it for hours and would never feel enough.
"I'll stay and watch until morning," said Emma quietly.
She then sat down and found a comfortable position. Emma was wearing a jacket, but it seemed this part of Daneria was much colder than in the previous places they had visited.
Emma was about to light a fire to make her body warmer, but before she could do it, suddenly a blanket was draped over her shoulders.
"Eh?" Emma looked back to find Therius draping the blanket over her shoulders and carefully tucking it up.
"If you light a fire, the view will be ruined," said Therius.
"Ah..." Emma nodded. The light from the fire will break the perfect mirror reflection of heaven and earth, she had to agree with him.
She nodded graciously and wrapped the blanket on her body. Now she felt really comfortable
"Can I sit here?" asked Therius softly.
Emma nodded. "Go ahead. I don't own this planet."
A moment later, she pursed her lips. She quickly realized that technically, this planet belonged to the Akkadian king. This means that as the future king, you could say Therius actually owned Planet Daneria. So, he could sit wherever he liked, without asking for anyone's permission.
Therius could tell what the girl was thinking from her expression, and he smiled faintly.
That's right, this planet would soon be his. And if Emma really liked Daneria, Therius didn't mind to give it to her, as a gift.
"Don't you feel sleepy?" asked Emma. "You only slept a little, right? I've had a nap, so I'm not sleepy like Xion."
"No, I always sleep a little," said Therius. "Five hours is enough to make me refreshed. Xion is different, he likes sleeping a lot."
"Oh ..." Emma said nothing more.
She looked back at the sky in front of her, with a dazzled look, completely unaware that the man beside her was staring at her side profile, looking fascinated.
The two humans repeatedly held their breath in awe, but by different objects.
Emma was captivated by the night sky, while Therius was captivated by her.
"This is the most beautiful place I've ever seen," muttered Emma. She then turned to Therius. "How about—"
Emma was stunned and couldn't continue her words. Her gaze fell on Therius's pair of topaz eyes, staring at her with an obvious longing.
For a moment, the two of them looked at each other.
"Emma ..." Therius' voice sounded hoarse.
Emma was still in awe and oblivious to her surroundings, she couldn't utter a single word.
Somehow, at that time, she saw the stars reflected on Therius' beautiful eyes. She hardly paid close attention to Therius' face because she had always been trying to keep her distance from him.
However, now that their faces were so close to each other, Emma had to admit that she and Therius did look quite similar, just like what Xion had said.
Ah .. was it true, that, according to Akkadian belief, man and woman who had similar faces were fated to be together?
Did Therius really think of Emma as his fated wife?
Therius, who saw Emma's beautiful face so close to his, felt his chest churn.
At that moment in time, where they were surrounded by the breathtaking view of heaven and earth together, he could no longer hold back his feelings for Emma.
He raised his hand and touched her hair, and slowly he brought his face closer. When his lips touched hers, he kissed her gently.

From the author:
I decided to add another tag for this book, "Reverse Harem". It means the Female Lead has more than one potential love interest. With Reverse Harem tag, the ending might see the FL have a real harem of men (LOL) or still only end up with one. It's just that in the journey, the FL will meet and have interactions with more than one man.
What do you think about this? I have the story in my mind from beginning to end, and I know who Emma will end up with (in my original plan). As you can see from the synopsis: Haoran, Therius, and Xion are all potential MLs. I actually have another one prepared when Emma arrives in Akkadia. Perhaps, there might be even more.
However, my stories often have a life of their own and what I want, might not be what happens in the end.
For example, in my original plan, Haoran was supposed to be dead and they bury him under an orange tree, just like what he wanted from the beginning, but you can see that he is not gone yet. There are still so many possibilities for him.
Would you like Emma to have a harem of men (let's be greedy! hahahah) or would you prefer this story to have 1v1 ending?
1v1 or 1vmany?
Let me know your thoughts :)
