203 Emma Would Never Cry Again
Emma could sleep soundly after dinner because of the medicine given by Natan. Therius waited for her to close her eyes and sleep soundly before he left the room where Emma was resting.
The man then went into his own room and looked at the moons. Tomorrow night, the three Akkadian moons would appear together in the sky. He could already see two moons at each end of the horizon. Tomorrow, when all three came together, it would be such a magical sight.
He was very happy that as soon as Emma arrived in Akkadia, she would be able to witness this beautiful spectacle. Therius would take Emma to his favorite place to watch the moons. It was no less wonderful than Salt Flat in Daneria.
There, he would propose to her formally and then prepare for the wedding, before they visit Thaesi. But first thing first, tomorrow, they had to attend Haoran's funeral.
Ah, at a time like this, Therius really wished Xion was by his side to share his happiness with his best friend. He felt like he had a burning sensation in his chest and he wanted to let it out by screaming his heart out or drinking wine until he got drunk.
However, he didn't want to scream for fear of waking Emma up, and he couldn't drink wine alone because his alcohol tolerance was low. He would end up passed out and it wouldn't look good for him.
Ugh .. finally, the man decided to take sleeping pills too so he could immediately close his eyes.

The next day, Emma really felt her body condition had gotten a lot better. She still felt tightness in her chest, and her eyes were hurt from crying too much in the past week, but overall she felt her strength was slowly recovering.
She raised her hand and nodded in satisfaction when she realized she was able to move her body as before. She was determined to train herself and become stronger so that she would no longer be a weak woman who would fell sick whenever she experienced deep grief.
She must not be weak!
Emma closed her eyes for a moment. After she opened her eyes again, she waved her right hand, and immediately flashes of lightning came out out of her palm.
Ah ... she could already use her electromancy. She then tried pyromancy to create fire. It worked. She tried aeromancy, hydromancy, and herbomancy one after another to make sure she could use all her powers.
Everything worked. Emma finally decided to get out of bed and wash up.
KNOCK KNOCK
The massive door to her room was knocked, and two servants entered. They bowed respectfully to her as soon as they reached her.
"Good morning, Princess. We are here to help you get ready," said one of them with a smile.
Emma was amazed at how efficient these two girls were. She did not think the servants would immediately know when she was up and came to serve her immediately.
"How do you know that I woke up?" asked Emma.
"Oh, we got the notification sent by the home surveillance system. My name is Miriam, Your Highness. I am your servant in this house," said the first girl who had black hair and a neat bun on her head. Her partner had curly white hair, a contrast to Miriam's. Her freckled face made her look very young.
"And I am Luann, my lady," said the second maid. "The prince is waiting for you in the dining room for breakfast together. We will help you get ready."
Emma sighed. She did not protest because Atila had taught her to get used to receiving servants' assistance after she arrived in Akkadia. After all, she was a princess.
Finally, she let the two girls help her wash up and get dressed. Just like in Therius's palace, these two servants also put special oil in Emma's bath so that she felt much healthier. After she got out of the bath and got dressed, Emma felt that her body felt much better than before.
While letting the two girls help her dress, Emma was able to read the minds of the two maids. Apparently, they were very happy because the prince came to visit his parents' holiday home and brought some of his guards.
Apparently, Therius's handsome bodyguards made the maids' hearts fluttered. They hoped the prince and his entourage would stay longer this time. Emma only smiled when she heard those thoughts.
While helping Emma get dressed, the two maids looked at each other meaningfully.
'This lady looks very similar to His Highness Prince Licht. They must be fated. But who is this princess really? Why haven't we seen her before?'
'They looked so good together. Ahh ... then the Akkadian empire will have the Avena couple as the monarchs for the first time in a thousand years. It's really worth celebrating.'
Emma had read some Akkadian history and knew who the maids were thinking about. There was once a powerful king and queen who were revered by their subjects. In terms of physical appearance, this king and the queen looked very similar to each other.
King Sirius met his wife, Queen Avena while he was going on an adventure through Akkadia, disguised as a commoner. At that time, he was still young and not yet a king. When he met Avena for the first time, the prince experienced what he described as love at first sight.
Avena was a country girl who was very clever. She was a genius innovator who loved making strange inventions to improve the quality of life for the people in her village. The girl's wit, passion, and sense of humor made Prince Sirius fell head over heels for her.
Sirius's parents opposed their relationship because Avena was a commoner. However, after Sirius threatened to become a commoner in order to marry his beloved, the king and queen finally relented.
Avena was accepted into the palace and became the wife of Crown Prince Sirius. She later became the queen when her husband took the throne. Under the rule of King Sirius and Queen Avena, the Akkadian people's life became very advanced.
The queen was still pursuing her hobby of creating new inventions, this time with the palace scientists' help in her special laboratory that King Sirius lovingly built.
Until now, some of Queen Avena's inventions could still be found in Akkadia. People loved her and always talked about her with a warm heart. The physical resemblance between Avena and her husband, as well as their immense love for each other, became a legend, that was being passed down for generations.
They were talked about in myth as lovers who fell in love even before they were born, so they made a pact to have similar appearances so that they could find each other easily among hundreds of millions of other humans.
Until now, anyone who could find their true love with similar physical appearances would be endearingly called as the Avena couple.
Of course, myth was just a myth. The truth couldn't be proven, because finding someone who looked like you and could make you fall in love with them seldom happened.
Emma wore a practical outfit that still looked beautiful on her. It was a short dress with light material. It was purple too, the color of mourning. Actually, when she saw the choices of clothes available in the walk-in closet next to her room, Emma was astounded. There were so many beautiful clothes in her size in various colors. She didn't know when Therius prepared everything for her.
When she was done dressing up, Emma walked out of her room, accompanied by her two servants to a beautiful dining room overlooking the valley. She saw Therius sat there, waiting for her, enjoying a cup of hot tea.
The man immediately got up to greet Emma when he saw his future wife enter through the door. He carefully opened a chair for Emma and sat down beside her.
"You must eat a lot and recover your strength. There are so many things to do today," he said.
Emma nodded. One thing was for sure, she had to bury Haoran properly and let the man enjoyed his last resting place.
They ate quietly. Therius was very relieved to see that Emma's condition had improved. He didn't mind taking care of her until she recovered if necessary, but he felt that Emma would hate herself if she continued to feel weak.
"I've asked Natan to prepare everything. Today we will have a funeral for Haoran," Therius said quietly after they finished eating. "Do you want to see him or ... is it too hard for you?"
"I want to be there," said Emma firmly.
"Very well ... he will be buried at the top of the hill over there," said Therius, pointing to the hill to their right.
Emma stared at the hill solemnly. The hill looked green and was filled with various plants. It was so beautiful, she could believe that some fairies live there. Haoran was going to have a magnificent final resting place, Emma thought.
She would also be able to visit often. Emma was grateful that Haoran would be buried in a remote place so that no one would find him and disturb his final rest.
Initially, Emma thought about burying Haoran in Thaesi to be close to her father, but then she thought that Thaesi was too far away while she had promised to stay in Akkadia with Therius.
Certainly, it would have been more practical for her to bury Haoran in Akkadia so that she could continue to visit the man whenever she wanted.
"Thank you," said Emma. She turned to Therius and touched his face gratefully.
Therius just nodded. He got up from his chair and took Emma out by holding her hand. In front of his parents' holiday home, five travs had been waiting for them. They would take Therius and Emma to the top of the hill for the funeral.
"My bodyguards will stand guard at the foot of the hill. I'll give you some alone time with Haoran before he is buried," said Therius. "After the funeral, we'll go back to the capital."
Emma nodded. She had promised herself. From today on, she wouldn't cry again, no matter what. She must be able to toughen up and not let anyone make her suffer again.
