Finding Stardust

243 Back To The Future

Kaoshin looked at Arreya lovingly. He wanted to hug and kiss her and satisfy his longing for her that he had been holding back for so many years. For a long time, he could only see Arreya from afar and chat with her secretly while Arreya was using telemancy.

Everything was done in secret and silent. If only Arreya weren't a princess chosen by Prince Darius as his future wife, surely Kaoshin would have proudly declared his love for her.

Ahh .. if only Arreya were just an ordinary girl, things would have been easier for them.

Kaoshin himself came from the reputable Stardust family. They were respected in the capital. His father was one of King Cassius' advisers. From all aspects, he was an ideal man. There were so many girls wanted to be his lover.

In addition to his good background, Kaoshin was also very handsome, smart, and he was known for being kind. Although he was very quiet, everyone who knew him knew that he had a good character. All in all, he was perfect.

When he entered the academy, he became the heartthrob that all girls in his year yearned. However, there was only one girl attracted him. The beautiful girl was a classmate. She was extremely smart and had a bright personality. She was the fire to his ice.

Since he first met Arreya, Kaoshin already fell in love with her. Arreya's cheerful attitude always made her look happy, and she brought warmth wherever she went.

She really captivated him. Arreya was like a warm sun to Kaoshin who was a loner and didn't talk much.

Arreya was very impressed by Kaoshin's intelligence and his character which was very different from other men around her.

For the first time in her life... she fell in love too.

Unfortunately, their love could not continue because, even though Kaoshin was a perfect man and came from a respectable family, it was not enough to get Arreya.

The girl was betrothed from childhood to a man who would soon become the king of Akkadia. Their king. No matter what Kaoshin did, no matter how hard he tried, nothing could beat Darius' birthright.

Kaoshin would not be able to compete with Prince Darius. As the future king of Akkadia, he arguably would also be the ruler of their planet, considering Akkadia was the largest kingdom that colonized the other five kingdoms.

For Arreya, the choice to marry Darius was not decided because Darius was a powerful man and would become the king. This was just a political reason for the sake of maintaining peace between Akkadia and its colonies. Apart from that, Darius was also her best friend since childhood.

So, even though Arreya only loved Kaoshin, she must give up on her love and proceed with her marriage to Darius.

She and Kaoshin had talked about this carefully and they came to that decision after years of thinking.

However, tonight .. Arreya easily threw it all away for the sake of their daughter. For Arreya, in this world, nothing was more important than her child.

She took the girl's appearance as a sign that she and Kaoshin had made the wrong decision and they had to fix it immediately.

Then .. what about politics on their planet? What about her fate and Kaoshin? They would definitely become fugitives for angering the Akkadian royal family...

All of those no longer mattered.

'Are you sure?' asked the handsome man to Arreya. He looked at the woman he loved with teary eyes.

The moment he had always dreamed of, suddenly came, and he was ready. He was always prepared for this day to come, even if it may never come.

Arreya decided to choose him at the last moment. Today was the happiest day in Kaoshin's whole life.

However, he was worried about Arreya. How could he have the heart to bring that girl to live a hard life with him? If they fled Akkadia, they would be fugitives all their life and became enemies of the state. He did not want Arreya to live in suffering.

'I've never been this sure in my life,' Arreya bit her lip and smiled weakly. She couldn't get the mysterious girl out of her mind... their daughter.

'Professor Daneria's team is going on an expedition to explore the new world this week. They have a ship ready to go,' said Kaoshin suddenly. 'Are you willing to leave Akkadia with me? We can seek new worlds for us. I don't want you to suffer in Akkadia.'

Arreya's eyes went round when she heard Kaoshin's words. She nodded quickly. 'I'll go anywhere with you.'

She meant every word. As long as she was with Kaoshin, she would be happy.

Arreya glanced to their left. She wanted to hug Kaoshin, but there were many people in the warehouse with them.

Kashin's body also looked tense. He was feeling the same turmoil in his chest. He wanted to hug Arreya so badly and kiss her. Unfortunately ... there were too many witnesses.

Something then flashed in Arreya's mind. The girl smiled faintly then wiped her tears. As her smile grew wider, she waved her right hand casually.

Instantly, the people in the warehouse fell asleep. Just like that.

Kaoshin looked so impressed by Arreya. "Your telemancy is amazing. I think you are the most powerful telemancer on this planet, yet nobody knows you are one."

Arreya shook her head. "After tonight, they will know."

She told him quickly what she planned to do in order for them to escape. Kaoshin was so touched when he heard every word.

He wasn't dreaming. Arreya was really leaving Akkadia with him.

"I love you," whispered Arreya. "I want to be with you, even though we have to go to the ends of the world."

Kaoshin looked at Arreya lovingly. He did not respond to Arreya's words, because the girl knew what was in his heart. The man's blue-green eyes were gleaming with tears as he kissed Arreya and hugged her tightly.

Finally, all had been decided. Kaoshin and Arreya fled Akkadia, leaving everything behind for their daughter.

In the future, Xion who arrived with Emma hurriedly walked toward Therius who was sitting on a chair by the bed, waiting for them.

When the young king saw blood on their clothes and Emma's wounded body, he immediately got up and reached out his hand to receive Emma's body from Xion.

His face looked very worried. Therius remembered that Emma was hurt while helping him when he was little, but still, seeing the girl's condition now made his heart sank.

"Let me carry her," said Therius. He carried Emma in his arms and rushed to the bed. Very carefully, he put the girl on the soft mattress.

"Why didn't you warn me that she was going to get hurt?" snapped Xion. "It's obvious you met her in the past. You knew what's going to happen ... but you let it! You should have told me so I could protect her!"

The Time Master looked very emotional and angry. He was so worried about Emma's condition. Her right shoulder was badly injured and drained of blood. Her upper clothes were torn by a knife stab.

Therius paid no heed to Xion's anger. He kissed Emma's forehead and then placed his hand on her temple. Therius then closed his eyes.

He concentrated on healing Emma. Gradually the blood stopped flowing, and the wound on Emma's shoulder shrank. Emma's ashen face then turned fresh and the passed out girl now looked as if she was sleeping.

Xion narrowed his eyes when he saw Therius did not heal Emma completely.

"Why don't you heal the wound completely?" asked Xion angrily. "Do you still want to hide the fact that you are a sanomancer? Even from Emma??"

Therius didn't answer.

He had deliberately only healed Emma by fifty percent, not completely. He didn't want Emma to wake up and wonder why her wound was gone.

If Emma asked him what happened, he would have no choice but to tell her that he was a sanomancer, a mage with the power to heal.

Then .. Emma would blame him for not healing Haoran all this time. Therius couldn't take that risk.

He didn't want Emma to hate him and leave him.

He had been waiting for Emma to return to his life for over twenty years. He won't let her go.

Xion stared at Therius, looking shocked and hurt. He couldn't believe that Therius could be so selfish.
