Finding Stardust

259 Emma Is Going To The Academy

Emma knew that herbomancer was the type of mage that people look down on the most, but she knew for sure that her father was not a weak person.

Kaoshin was the strongest herbomancer in Akkadia and has fought against mages with other offensive powers such as electromancers and pyromancers and won.

She looked at Atila with a smile. "Then, I will claim to be a herbomancer like my father."

Atila nodded. "I think that will be the best."

When Emma told Therius about her plans for the academy, the king nodded in satisfaction. He agreed that Emma should not attract too much attention during her time at the academy.

Better to let the people admire Emma Stardust, the queen of Akkadia, as a multiple-element mage and let her alter ego be an unassuming student. In the academy, it would be better if people didn't know she had multiple powers.

It would be difficult to hide her identity as Princess Arreya's daughter if people knew Emma had five or even six powers at once, just like the legendary princess.

"How was your lunch with Aeron?" Emma asked Therius before they slept that night. She was interested in knowing if her husband managed to build a new connection and made friends with Aeron.

"Hmm ... it was okay. We exchanged news. He still found it hard to believe that I was Therius, his old school mate," said Therius with a smile.

"I'm sure anyone would be surprised too," agreed Emma. "I hope you can take the occasional time to see old friends and not always keep yourself busy with royal affairs."

Therius understood what Emma meant. He didn't have any friends, and his life after Emma left for the academy would be lonely. He knew that Emma wanted him to fill his life with new friends. But ... how? Therius wasn't someone who could easily make friends.

Especially now with his position as king. It would be much more difficult for him to find people who were sincere to him, without wanting anything from him, or being friendly with him because he was the king.

He felt that for someone like him, making new friends at a time like this was already too late. Ahh ... he just hoped that Emma would come home often and can spend time with him on weekends.

"You don't have to think about me," Therius said, patting Emma's hand gently. "I'll be fine. Royal affairs have kept me very busy. I don't have time for anything else. And I'd rather spend my spare time missing you than having a pointless chit chat with someone like Aeron."

"..."

"I'm serious. You have to make new friends at the academy. I think your cover is now very good. If you claimed to be an ordinary girl with ordinary power too, then you will be able to filter the people who want to be friends with you for you and the people who only want something from you," said Therius, advising Emma. "True friends you make when you are young, usually last a lifetime."

"Very well then," said Emma in agreement. She opened her tablet and researched something. "I'm going to the academy next week. We only have a week left to be together."

Therius tried to hold back his sad sigh when he heard that Emma would be leaving soon. He put his arms around the girl's waist and hugged her.

"Hmmm ... I will really miss you," he said, kissing the girl's nape. Therius's warm breath on Emma's skin made her ticklish.

"If you miss me, you can come to visit me at the academy," said Emma with a smile. "You can come as Therius Moria, not King Licht Wolfland. People won't be suspicious."

"Hmm ... you're right," Therius said, biting Emma's neck gently. "I'll come as often as I can. I'll also take time off to take you to the academy next week to make sure everything's okay."

Emma turned to Therius and shook her head, "I don't think it's needed. Atila will go with me. She will be working as a doctor at the academy clinic. You have a lot of work and have become so busy lately."

Therius chuckled at Emma's words. "I am the king. Of course, I can easily delegate some work to my ministers. Why be a king if I can't even take my wife to the academy?"

"Very well," said Emma. "You can take me. I will be very happy."

Therius touched Emma's chin and brought his face closer, then kissed her lips tenderly. Meanwhile, his hands were slipping under his wife's clothes. When he found her breast, Therius' hands mischievously groped them passionately.

"Hmm ... we only have one week together ..." Therius whispered in a husky voice as he took Emma's clothes off one by one. His wife just smiled with her cheeks flushed red after Therius had managed to strip her clothes quickly, and now he was taking off his own clothes.

It didn't take long before the young couple started making love passionately. The sound of sexy moans and the scent of lovemaking filled the king and queen's chamber all night.

Therius really didn't want to miss his chance to make love to his wife while she was still in the capital and hadn't left for the academy. After Emma started school, they would live as a long-distance couple for three years.

Ahhh .. if he wanted to be selfish, Therius would ask Emma not to go to the academy and stay with him all the time. However, he understood that Emma was still very young and needed to see the world and gain more experiences.

She also needed to hang out with people her age and make friends. He didn't want Emma to feel as lonely as he was. Apart from those reasons, he also thought Emma had a lot of potential with her powers. She must train them under the best teachers in the academy.

Therius would probably be able to teach her telemancy and pyromancy, but, as the king, he wouldn't have enough time to do it. What Emma learned from him won't be maximized.

As he had said before, Therius liked strong women. He was fascinated by Emma for the first time because she was very strong, at least in his eyes as a child, when the girl fought the enemy to save him.

Therius wanted Emma to be a powerful mage who could protect herself and those who were important to her.

"I love you so much," Therius whispered as they ended their hot romance that night. "I will miss you very much when you are not around. I will keep myself busy with work."

"I'll miss you too," said Emma.

Therius's face lit up when he heard his wife's words. Ah, it felt great to know that Emma would miss him while she was at the academy.

"The trip to the academy will take all night," Therius said as he and Emma sat in the comfortable couch inside the compartment on the night train bound for Sochin Province.

He and Emma deliberately disguised themselves as commoners as Therius promised to take Emma to the academy. Many of the king's personal bodyguards stood guard around them, with the appearance of ordinary people as well.

Even though Therius was powerful, and Emma couldn't be underestimated either, they didn't want to take the risk of traveling in public without adequate security.

Therius also wanted to take Emma by train to give her as much real-life experience as possible. So, she would understand what it was like to travel on public transportation. This way, she wouldn't feel awkward around her school mates later, if they found out that she didn't understand how to travel by train.

"I am excited about this next part of my life," Emma admitted to Therius as she laid her head on his lap. "I want to be a powerful mage like you too."

"You will. And not only will you learn about controlling your powers, but you will also learn many other things in being a mage," Therius replied. He rubbed Emma's hair and was tempted to kiss her again. "And I hope you will make new friends."

Friends.

Those words now sounded foreign to Emma. She only had 5 friends when she was on earth, and she left them behind without ever saying goodbye. She wondered what Alex, David, Dinh, and Eric were doing right now. She missed them very much.

In Akkadia, she also only had two friends. She married one and lost the other.

Ahh.. would she be able to make another friend?
