44 Blue and lavender, part 3
"What the hell is he doing here?" Noctis growled. He clenched his fists, not looking at Snow, but directly at Nate.
If looks could kill, Nate would be long dead, Snow thought.
Nate put his arm around her shoulders, smiling his usual mischievous smile.
"Prince Noctis, a real pleasure." Nate said, not moving his arm. Noctis took a step forward, jaw clenched and eyes narrowed.

"You keep your filthy hands off her." Noctis said in a low voice. Snow felt the chills running down her spine, she did not like where this is heading, so Snow took a step forward pulling out from Nate's embrace.
"Noctis calm down, nothing happened. We were just talking." Snow soothed him.
"Talking? Just talking?" Noctis laughed, "Don't make me laugh Snow, go tell that to a two year old, maybe he would believe you."
Snow opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out.
"Hey, don't talk to her that way." Nate said, stepping infront of her, shielding her from Nocts' piercing gaze.
"And don't you tell me what to do, I'm your prince, know where your place is." Noctis shot back.
That made Nate laugh, he crossed his arms, and glared at Noctis.
"Please, if you can't respect anyone, why should I respect you. So don't even think about having a talk about respect with me. Your majesty." Nate said sarcastically, doing a small bow, just to spite the prince more.
Snow wanted to stop Nate from talking further, and to tell him off for going to stand in front of her, but before she could do that, there was a flash of blue. Nate was pinned to the wall by Noctis.
"Noctis! Stop!" Snow yelled, trying to pry him off of Nate.
"Have I, or have I not told you to know your place. You are in my home, disrespecting me, so I suggest you keep your mouth shut, and stay the hell away from her!" Noctis shouted.
Nate only glared at him, then as if realising something, a smile creeped up on his lips.
"Ooh, I get it, you're jealous. You're jealous that I was there to comfort her in the hospital, instead of you. You're jealous that we spend so much time together, and that her whole world doesn't evolve around you anymore."
"Nate, stop talking." Snow warned, but they both ignored her presence.
Nate snickered, "It really bothers you that maybe one day, I'll be the one that she wakes up next to in the morning, that my ring will be on her finger, and not yours. And that maybe, just maybe, she'll love me, instead of you."
Snow was stunned. She did not expect that, but before anything could really register, Noctis punched Nate through the jaw, letting him go. Nate's arm went back to punch Noctis.
"Nate, don't you dare." Snow said, she didn't think that he would actually hurt Noctis, but this could end very badly for him, and she really did not want a fistfight in her room, because she would be the one that would have to clean up the mess, and her friends is probably waiting for her downstairs.
"You must be so glad that she's here," Nate said, lowering his arm. He stretched his jaw a bit, before glaring at Noctis, "If it was up to me..."
"Enough." Snow snapped, interrupting Nate, she was getting sick of this constant fighting and she really needed to get going.
Both of them looked at her, as if remembering that she's still there.
"Look, I've got something to do, and I would really appreciate it if you both could just leave, and leave each other alone while you're at it." Snow said, glaring at them both.
"If it's as you wish, princess." Nate said, earning a glare from Noctis, it was obvious he did not like the idea of the nicknames.
Nate saw his response and smiled at his reaction. Snow rolled her eyes because she knew Nate did it on purpose.
Nate shoved his hands into his pockets, walking past Snow. His eyes only briefly met hers, but that was too long for Noctis. When Nate was out the door, Snow was the one who got glared at.
Snow's eyes darted from one place to another, before coming to rest on Noctis' piercing gaze.
"What?" Snow asked, she couldn't understand why he looked at her like that when he was supposed to leave.
"I could ask you the same thing. I came in here because I heard your friends talking, only to find you and that guy in here doing who knows what."
Snow laughed a little.
"Really Noctis? Did you not hear me before? We were just talking." Snow said crossing her arms, returning his glare.
"I heard you load and clear, Snow." Noctis said in a softer tone.
"Then why aren't you listening, Noctis?"
"I am listening. If anyone here isn't listening, then it's you."
"Excuse me?" Snow scoffed, "how am I not listening? No, you know what, I don't have time for this. My friends are waiting for me downstairs and I have better things to do than argue with you. If you have something to say, you can wait untill I get back."
With that Snow turned around and walked away, leaving Noctis standing in her room, but before she turned around, she could've sworn she saw something flash in his eyes, something like hurt.
Snow made her way down the stairs and was met with three questioning stares. Snow only shook her head and walked past them, straight out the door and on her way to the carriage.
