41 Wolf attack
Phillip turned around and waited for the rangers to do the same, when they all lined up Phillip picked up speed, when he flashed his hazards he floored it.
The bumpy road only allowed a certain speed limit, so Phillip kept the vehicle in third, the poweful V8 of the Wrangler will give sufficient acceleration in the corners in that gear and allow a fair high speed. Phillip rolled the window down and readied with his recolver. Ahead the first of the green eyes appeared, immediately Rhodes started firing, the spent cartridges clinking on the roof as they rolled off, Phillip started firing as the wolves also came out of the forest again. Behind them the rangers also started firing.

"Fuck! They're everywhere!" Benson yelled and ducked as one lept into the side of the Jeep.
Phillip couldn't deside where to shoot, they were as Benson said, like a swarm, and his six shooter wasn't an effective weapon now at all. Rhodes reloaded and kept firing, one of these wolves came dead in the middle of the road, Phillip planted the accelerator and struck it, instead of a usual roadkill going under the rather high four by four, it burst similar to a baloon, black muck like fluid covered the entire front of the Jeep.
"What the fuck!" They heard Rhodes wail and then heard him vomit. Phillip now had a new problem, the black muck was like slime against the front window, his wipers wouldn't remove it, then suddenly in the confusion of wolves, muck, vomit and roaring car engines, something big came into Phillips headlights, he couldn't make out exactly what it was when he passed but he saw the black fur and muscular front legs, taller than the vehicle, as the headlights of the Jeep passed and it went into the dark again Rhodes got grabbed right out of the sunroof, they heard him scream only for a second.
This thing they saw caused the back Jeep to swerve and basically ramp into the valley below. The sight of Rhodes and the back Jeep made Suzette scream in terror.
"Were in hell now! Where all going to fucking die!" Benson yelled balling into his seat. Phillip focused hard to see in front, but behind the wolves backed off and he slacked down.
"They... They stopped following us" Suzette uttered.
"They would" Phillip said saddened.
"Let me guess" Benson yelled "They got the food they came for?"
"Yes"

"Location: The Wrangell St. Elias national park, first attempt to communicate" Mark said into the recording machine.
"First noticeable things when we arrived was Leanne, the psychic, confirming she felt the presence of lost souls in the forest, we will now attempt to make contact" He said and nodded towards Leanne.
"My name is Leanne, i am a medium to connect with the other side, if there are any souls close by who can hear me, please say something" She said worried.
The female spoke, but as always, it couldn't really understand, it watched the four sitting in a circle, asif waiting for something. Around them six stands with strange objects pointing out to the surrounding forest, the beast didn't like this.
"I ask again, if there are any souls close by, who know something of what is going on around here, please indicate your presence"
'You are in danger' The last bit of human inside the beast responded. Leanne flinched.
"Whats wrong?" Mark asked.
"Something just spoke to me"
"We didn't hear anything"
"No, it was phantom like, a disembodied voice"
The beast moved closer but there was a 'peep' noise making it avert back into the dark.
"Something tripped a motion sensor" Victoria said checking the triggered camera on her laptop, the motion sensors took a quick picture as soon as it trips, and on the photo they saw the black blur with a green line. Whatever it was moved too fast for the camera to completely catch it.
"What could it be?" Victoria asked.
"Dont know, Leanne, see if you can talk to it again"
She swallowed "If you can understand me, please tell me why you are lost here?"
'I dont, remember, all i know... Is i must, i want, to kill you'
Leanne stood up "It said, it wants to kill us"
All of them stood up.
"Spirits can't kill us Leanne" Mark said.
'Spirit? I am no spirit, i am...'
Another peep on a diffrent camera they checked the photo, this time the green line was confirmed to be eyes. The four swung to the camera that last took the picture, but saw nothing.
"Thats not a spirit!" Leanne panicked "It must be some sort of poltergeist!"
'In my last attempt to give you human advice, you, better, run' The voice spoke and Leanne scrammed into the dark screaming.
"Leanne!" Mark yelled but was silenced by the monstrous wolf that bit him in half. Ivan screamed firing at the wolf whilst Victoria also ran for her life.
The bullets from the pistol didn't even make the wolf flinch, it came in two stepps and bit the arm of Ivan carrying the pistol off and swallowed it. He screamed falling back, the wolf pinned him with a paw and bit his head off.
'Two, more' It thought walking the scent trail of Victoria, the fact that its prey now ran from it, made it excited, it bucked its large body and launched into a full sprint, in mere seconds came past Victoria and bit her in half during the flyby.
'One more'

The rangers heard the screams and started the Jeep, the three passengers loaded the bolt actions over but as they started driving Leanne came running past them screaming, making them stop and jump out.
"Hey lady! Whats going on!?"
'More? More prey'
The wolf opened its jaws so wide as it bit the driver it took his door off with him, the other rangers panicked and opened fire, but the wolf knew what to do, the slow reload time gave the wolf time to duck for the shot, and move in during the reload. Screams and gunshots filled the night sky, until there was utter silence once again.

Leanne didn't know which way to go, or how far, she just kept to the road barely visible in the moonlight, she cried, since they entered this place she felt the presence of evil, and now it was only her left, she stopped at the sight of something jumping out of the forest infront of her in the dark ahead, her tears welled up more, and she fell to her knees.
