179 A Witch’s Nature Bonus for 400ps
When the others saw Steve take the opportunity to kiss Audrey on the back of her hand, their eyes widened with surprise. After all, nobody had ever dared to flirt with Audrey like that!
Just when people thought that Audrey would fly into a rage, she suddenly laughed and said, "This is unexpected! You actually know about such an ancient etiquette!"
Ancient etiquette?
Steve was stunned. Wasn't that just a common kiss of greeting?
"Nobody has paid attention to these etiquettes since the Blue Star entered the Great Destruction Period, and only nobles learned these useless etiquettes in order to show their nobility." Audrey smiled.
Steve realized that the Blue Star Continent now paid more attention to more practical things. After all, courtesy looked good, but it lacked practical use!
Although this was a way of showing mutual respect, the Blue Star Continent was more respectful of the strong, so power would naturally be respected and worshipped by others. As such, there was no need for so-called etiquettes anymore!
As for the weak, it was not so easy for them to survive in such a dangerous and chaotic world. Hence, it did not make sense for them to waste their time learning etiquettes that would not put food on their tables!
"Steve has passed the Armored Robots Test, and he will become a member of the Armored Robots Unit. Who still wants to bully him?" Audrey's majestic eyes swept across the place, and all the veterans who had tried to challenge Steve retreated in immediately.
After all, the armored robots unit was one of the most powerful and united units. Because the armored robot units had the least amount of people and were also the most dangerous unit, they'd had to work together, trust, and help each other in order to survive longer in the battlefield!
"Caleb, were you the first one who jumped out to challenge him? Why don't I fight a round with you instead?" Audrey's beautiful eyes turned to Caleb.
Caleb was shocked and he shook his head. "It was just a misunderstanding..."
The crowd clearly feared Audrey, as not only was she an armored robots soldier, but she was also a very powerful individual! Her basic cell value had reached 399 points, almost stepping into the 400 range, and she was also a top ranking fighter! She was clearly much stronger than Caleb, so he dared not accept her challenge.
"Do you all have nothing to do? What are you still doing here?" Audrey cried out.
The large group of people surrounding them originally quickly dispersed in an instant, and not even a shadow was left!
"Thank you." Steve thanked Audrey.
"It's nothing. They were just bullying you because you're new." Audrey looked at Steve, her eyes shining. "But, I'm very interested in you."
Goosebumps suddenly prickled on Steve's skin. The way Audrey looked at him was not the way most women looked at men. She was looking at him like he was a toy!
"Miss Audrey, I'm just an ordinary person." Steve waved his hand hurriedly.
"Hahaha, you really can joke." Audrey covered her mouth and laughed. "Defeating five veterans by yourself and setting a new highest record for the military base was not a miracle that just anyone could achieve."
"I just took advantage of the fact that they were unable to use their full strengths. If they could have, it would not have been easy for me to beat them," Steve said.
"Hehe, I'm getting more interested in you by the minute." Audrey laughed, then asked, "Do you know what interests me most about you?"
"What is it?" Steve asked warily, not softening one bit.
"It's your Brain Wave Fusion Level of 90%. I'm curious as to what kind of genius you are to have achieved that height..." Audrey laughed.
"That's just a measurement of my potential." Steve smiled bitterly.
"Hahaha, you don't keep a low profile at all. In the future, we'll all be living together in the unit, and it will be good for everyone to know more about each other. You can rest assured that I won't do anything to you." Audrey's laughter was bold. "Come on, I'll show you around the Original Gravity Tower. They won't dare to pester you with me around."
Steve was grateful for Audrey's offer, so he followed her around the Original Gravity Tower, while Audrey explained its details to Steve. The square outside the Original Gravity Tower was the military base's lifestyle area. Besides the soldiers that would come here to relax, instructors and officers would often come to walk around as well.
Everything that could be purchased on the outside could be purchased here as well, which was a great convenience to the soldiers, as they no longer had to run back to the city if they wanted to buy something.
"The Original Tower Square is a place where soldiers often gather, so almost everything is available here." Audrey looked at Steve with a jesting look. "If you want to vent your sexual desires, however, you would have to come to me..."
Audrey suddenly lay on Steve's chest and her eyes and tone became sultry. Steve raised up his arms hurriedly and took a step back, putting some distance between them.
He then said awkwardly, "No, no, no, I have a girlfriend, two actually, so.."
"Hehe, okay, I'm just kidding with you," Audrey laughed and said. "Come on, we're done with the square, I'll take you to the Original Gravity Tower now."
Steve breathed a sigh of relief. He had found that Audrey was indeed a witch, as her personality was so changeable, it was impossible to understand what was going on in her mind!
No wonder the veterans are so afraid of her!
The door on the first level of the Original Gravity Tower was open 24 hours a day, so there were always people going in and out. However, Steve had observed that the people would more or less walk out with injuries.
"The Original Gravity Tower has a total of 71 levels. The first level is the arena and ranking list. The arena has a single and team mode. The corresponding rankings lists also has personal rankings and team rankings. Personal ranking battles are divided into two types, one is ranked by personal combat power, while the other was ranked by basic cell value..."
Audrey took Steve to the first level, which was incredibly vast. There were only big screens and 3-D projections within it, along with a variety of high-tech equipment. It was totally different from what Steve had imagined.
