Instructor Bob could not help but look in Steve's direction. He was filled with mixed feelings.

Sofia, Lucy, Stuart and Andrew had performed much better than the previous batch of recruits. However, when compared with Steve, the outstanding group of people were decidedly inferior.

It was not that they had performed badly. It was just that Steve's performance had been exceptionally outstanding.

Thump!

As Steve made another move, an electric spark flashed by at an amazing speed, drawing a gorgeous golden rainbow across the sky.

Swish..

Steve stood behind the iron pillar, maintaining the same pose as he had when he was pulling out his sword.

Crack..

The huge iron pillar cracked, and the high iron pillar was cut in half. The upper half fell to the ground, causing the ground to shake. The cut of the iron pillar was very smooth, almost like a mirror.

"Success..." Vanessa murmured in shock.

Steve's move was so perfect, no one could find any flaw in it at all. Everyone else was shocked. It had taken Steve less than a day to learn the skills of a level one armored robot operator!

F-level armored robot operators were ranked from level one to level ten, according to their skills. The higher the level, the more skilful they were deemed to be. Steve had mastered the skills of a level one armored robot operator within a single day!

"Success at last..." Steve could not help but smile with satisfaction.

After constant attempts, he had finally found his own way of delivering his moves. Because everyone's habits and ways of operating the armored robots were different, everyone would have their own ways of delivering the perfect moves.

"Well, you didn't disappoint me. Today's training is over. If you can display your moves as perfectly tomorrow, your success rate will be 100%. Then, I'll then you the second trick." Vanessa nodded.

When Leopold and the others heard this, they suddenly felt that Vanessa's request was too harsh. After all, even an E-level armored robot operator may not necessarily be able to achieve a 100% success rate, as mistakes are bound to happen! Yet, she had placed such an expectation on Steve!

"OK, instructor!" Steve responded seriously.

By the end of his first day of class, Steve had shocked many people with his results. Even though they had all known that Steve's brain wave fusion of 90% meant that he was very talented, no one had expected that Steve would be so exceedingly talented!

The crowd returned to the underground base camp, then exited their armored robots. They would have to attend a few other classes that afternoon.

In addition to the armored robot class in the morning, they would have to attend classes on shooting, weaponry, large-scale weapons operations, combat guidance and so on. However, being armored robot operators, Steve and the others only needed to learn the basics of these additional classes.

At noon, all of them had a little rest. When they arrived at the shooting classroom in the afternoon, everyone's eyes were focused on Steve.

It was normal for Steve to be the center of attention. This time, however, Steve felt that people were looking at him differently than they had before.

Steve was usually looked at with admiration and respect, but now people's stares held traces of dislike and disgust. Some even turned around and left when they saw Steve, refusing to even say hello to him!

"I did not expect him to be such a nasty person! I heard that he bullies the veterans!"

"I heard that he framed the members of the Black Tiger Combat Unit, causing them to be imprisoned!"

While a few of the onlookers said nasty things about Steve, one female soldier stood up for him, saying, "I don't think that Steve would do something like that!"

"I don't think so either! Steve is so handsome and talented. Plus, he never bullied us," another female fan, who was full of adoration for Steve, said.

...

As some of the whispers reached Steve's ears, he frowned. Steve wondered what had happened in the morning to have caused such drastic changes in everyone's behaviors and reactions towards him.

"What's wrong with all of you?" Andrew questioned everyone.

"Andrew, you didn't check the internet today? The news about Steve and the Black Tiger Combat Unit has gone viral." One of the armored robot operators, who had just finished taking his break, had accessed the Internet to find out what had happened, along with everyone else!

"Steve, you are famous!" Andrew suddenly shouted, his eyes quickly turning to look at Steve.

Steve stared at the news and frowned. He finally understood what had happened to change everyone's perspectives about him!

"The Black Tiger Combat Unit is just a big group of bullies! They are clearly confusing everyone as to what is right and wrong!" Lucy burst out in anger.

"Yeah! They are so despicable, they use the power of public opinion to maliciously slander other!" Sofia was also angry. She was usually calm, but when she saw the news on the Internet, she could not help but feel truly steamed!

"The Black Tiger Combat Unit are deliberately tarnishing Steve's reputation!"

"Da*n it! This bunch of ba*tards is deliberately slandering him! They are too much!"

...

Except for Steve and Stuart, all the other armored fighters were angrily protesting this dastardly slanderous news. Steve frowned as he saw that the news from the Internet really had gone overboard in its exaggeration and slander.

"A new recruit from this batch, Steve, was unhappy with the Black Tiger Store, as they were unwilling to sell him blood-sucking grass. So, Steve injured three members of the Black Tiger Team II, and one of them was arrested for this!"

"Steve is the big devil among the recruits!"

"There are even pictures and videos, which serve as evidence that Steve bullied the salesman and the manager of the Black Tiger Store! Never have I seen such an abominable man!"

"The Black Tiger Combat Unit has challenged Steve in the name of justice, hoping that Lawrence will punish Steve!"

...

Many news titles described Steve as an unforgivable villain. Moreover, many blogs were included, along with accompanying videos and pictures. However, these videos and pictures were obviously edited!

For example, one made it appear that Steve had bullied the Black Tiger store salesman, but Steve had really just been trying to buy the blood-sucking grass. However, when Michael had told him that the haemophagus had already been booked, Steve had naturally reacted in frustration. They only showed that isolated facial reaction, which completely misconstrued the situation!

Then, when Jim and Michael turned to Steve and begged him to let them go. Steve's understandably angry remarks had been spliced into the video, making it appear that he was angry for no reason!

Overall, the video made Steve appear to be a big villain, who had stormed into the store to buy blood-sucking grass, only to go on and threaten the Black Tiger Combat Unit with a lawsuit for no good reason. Moreover, the video was so heavily edited, it made The Black Tiger Store Combat Unit out to be the sympathetic party and the victims, portraying them as fearing for their lives and whispering to Steve for mercy!
