*Edward's POV*

After seeing the incredible miracles our uncle do, we were instantly fascinated in what else he could do. However, he didn't want show off anything to us, saying that we will first learn the basics with our sensei.

"Alphonse...where do you think we can get the key?" (Edward)

"By key... do you mean the key to the attic?" (Alphonse)

"Yeah. That key." (Edward)

"Stop it brother! You know we have no chance against our uncle! Didn't you see him do all that to sensei who easily beat both of us?" (Alphonse)

"Yeah, but think of everything we can do if we get his research. He knows so much and we can do so much more with it. And he might also know some information regarding Human Transmutation." (Edward)

"Human Transmutation? Like bringing back mother?" (Alphonse)

"Exactly... I don't get just why he won't share it..." (Edward)

"It's exactly because it's Human Transmutation that we can't know of it brother." (Alphonse)

"AHH! I'm getting angry. I'm going to sleep." (Edward)

"Good night brother..." (Alphonse)

Hearing what's going with the brothers, I lightly chuckle. I wasn't going to share them access to my research room without them changing their minds.

"Guess, it's time soon..." (Zhong Yuan)

I finish my experiment and take out pills from a cauldron and pack up some clothing in a suit case and go down stairs. I take my last moment to see the brothers sleeping. Not forgetting the pills, I open their mouths and feed them the pills.

The pills were a special concoction I made between energy, souls, and proteins. I tried to make pills like in Chinese wuxia stories with alchemy and sort of made a success. All it did was raise people's life force significantly, almost stopping any critical dangers such as amputations.

"I'll see you kids soon..." (Zhong Yuan)

Lightly kissing their foreheads, I get out of the house. Knowing that this might be take a long while, I walk to the Rockbells to say farewells. I enter house silently and see Pinako waiting on a chair.

"I'm this old while you and Hohenheim haven't aged at all. How lucky are you two..." (Pinako)

"I guess you're right. I'll reveal you guys what we are planning, but you can't reveal anything to the brothers until they grow up." (Zhong Yuan)

Under the dim moonlight, I whisper,

"We're immortals because of souls. Hohenheim is burdened by millions of souls inside him while my soul is so powerful it makes me pseudo-immortal. That makes two immortals, but there's this other guy who made Hohenheim immortal who is still alive. We need to end him." (Zhong Yuan)

"... you know? Maybe it's best to be just mortal." (Pinako)

I lightly chuckle.

"You are right... I miss those times." (Zhong Yuan)

I bend down to open my suit case to take out a metal. Pinako watches and burrows her eyebrows.

"Hoh? Why do you have a random metal with you?" (Pinako)

"You'll understand when it's time. In the future when there is a great need for help, make it into something."

Handing over the metal, she picks it up to see that it doesn't weight at all.

"What's this metal? There's no weight at all!" (Pinako)

"How should I say this...just call it whatever you want." (Zhong Yuan)

Looking suspiciously, she stays quiet.

"Yeah... I know it's weird, but under your hands I know you'll make something incredible." (Zhong Yuan)

"HOW CAN I MAKE SOMETHING WITH THIS!" (Pinako)

"Uhh, you don't have to make something out of this entirely. You can also combine it you know?" (Zhong Yuan)

"I know, but I have no experience with this! What even is this?" (Pinako)

"Let's say... let's just say it's a pretty strong metal. By the way, you must use alchemy to change it into something else because even normal fire can't melt it. I'll entrust you with this." (Zhong Yuan)

"*sights* What's wrong with both you and Hohenheim. Farewells." (Pinako)

Saying goodbye to the old lady again, I walk to the train station.

"Next destination... Amestris, Central City." (Zhong Yuan)
