"Yawn, What time is it. It's been such a long time since I slept so well" just as our little protagonist was getting up from his bed he heard his mother calling him downstairs for breakfast.

"Honey, wakey wakey. Its breakfast time. Go freshen up and come down" His mother who always used to be little grumpy in the morning seemed today a little happy. Of course she would be happy cause her son was gonna get his first pokemon and to commemorate she had prepared a feast.

After our protagonist freshened up he went to the dining room. There he saw his stern faced father reading his daily newspaper and his mother setting up the food.

"Good morning mom and morning dad" His dad just nodded while his mother asked,

"Good morning honey. Did you have a proper sleep. You have that strange bed hair on your head go and fix that after breakfast and also have you prepared for your adventure. Will you be fine. If you feel insecure then just call me or your father. We will send you some bodyguards immediately." Suddenly his mom got emotional and the air also got awkward. Her son who seemed just this small till yesterday has suddenly grown up so much that he is going on his own journey. It felt so surrealistic.

"Mom, I'll be fine and don't worry about me ,you know me and my personality right. I may be just a little bit timid but I can handle this much..I think. Isn't that right dad?" Seeing her son becoming a grown up and accepting his weakness made her think he was a cheeky one. But that too was in his character.

"Sigh!! I hope that you will not forget about us and return home safe and sound. Don't rush into a battle that you can't win and always think of a win-win situation. Alright we already have strayed from our original topic. Professor Juniper informed us to come in about half an hour so quickly gobble down that food and get ready"

"Okay mom" After he said that he immediately started eating his food. Even though he was eating very fast it seemed very elegant.

After he finished his breakfast he went to the room and started packing basic items used for travelling which also included a encyclopedia of various berries and healing plants.

"Ah, I almost forgot lucky" He grabbed a small stuffed toy and packed it safely with other items. As he was going on a adventure a lucky charm is a must is what his mother always used to say. After he finished his packing he changed into some comfortable clothes and also packed some pair of shoes which will help him in his trekking. After he finished his changing he quickly went down where he saw his mother who waiting for him patiently.

"Young man, don't you think that you took a little longer to get down" He suddenly started sweating profusely.

"Sorry mom, I...I" When he was trying to find some reasons for his delay his mother suddenly interrupted.

"Young man don't think of trying to find a excuse. Your father has been waiting for a long time, so lets hurry up" He was suddenly surprised.

"What! Father is also going?" He asked surprised

"So what, don't you want your father going" Her mother replied while raising her eyebrows somewhat

"No its just that it's unexpected. Wont father miss his work?" He again asked while following his mom to the car

"No he wont. Even if he misses his work he has to come drop you off. It's the responsibility of a parent to wish their son luck. If he was heartless enough to go back to his then your mother here will be signing a paper of divorce." It suddenly escalated to the point of divorce but he knew that his mother loved father endlessly and was just joking.

After they entered the car the mother and son duo started chitchatting while his father sometimes commented. Soon they reached the lab.

"Go on son" His father asked him to go and meet professor juniper which was strangely surprising.

"Tell us about your starter after you choose it okay and also send my regard to professor" His mother also joined in with his conversation with his father.

"I'm going" After he replied and went in to see the Professor.

When he entered he saw some assistants walking here and there. He called out to one.

"Excuse me, I..I am her..e for my starter" He suddenly had a change in his personality

"Oh you must be the new trainer. But I really hate to break it to you that Professor is suddenly busy as she found something interesting so I'll be the one to give you your pokemon, come on kiddo let's get you a starter" Our protagonist started following him into a room and in that room was a container which contained three pokeball.

"You're lucky kiddo cause you're the first of your peer and are free to choose from these three pokemon" He called out the three pokemon in which contained three out of ordinary pokemon.

"You have to choose carefully because it will be your precious buddy. Now do you want to choose the grass snake pokemon, snivy or do you want to choose the sea otter pokemon, oshawott but do you want to choose the fire pig pokemon, tepig" They all gave some sort of response while the assistant called out their name. He contemplated for a long time before finally choosing the snivy.

"Hmm, you have choosed a great starter. Now that you have choosed your starter here is your pokedex. This is a device made for the trainers to help them in their journey so use it well." Afte he got his pokedex he immediately scanned his snivy. The cold mechanical voice resounded,

'Snivy, the grass snake pokemon. These pokemon while being exposed to sunlight move more swiftly . It uses its vines more adeptly than its hands. This snivy is a female and currently knows the move: Tackle, Leer, Iron Tail and Twister.'

He immediately knew why the assistant said I made the right decision. This snivy is so powerful. If this snivy is so powerful then how powerful will the others be. Well not that I care. Yep, I don't care about any of the others pokemon. Well a little ,only little. When he scanned the others his jaw dropped slightly. The oshawott had learned assurance and detect while the tepig had learned yawn and magnitude. After he checked them he felt that he shouldnot done that. 'I want both of those' He thought but he could only smile bitterly.

"Thank you..m.ist..er ass.is...tant" The assistant returned a bright smile.

"It's not a problem now lets return" Saying that he traced his steps backwards while our protagonist quietly followed him.

While he was exiting the lab he saw a pair of kids around his age bickering with each other. Our protagonist just walked past them while both of them were heading towards the lab. He seemed to hear some bits of conversation,

"Ray, please don't walk too fast the lab won't run away" The girl told but the boy called Ray didn't seemed to listen to the other body.

"Granule walk a little faster, haven't you eat your'e breakfast yet. Your'e slower than a slowpoke y,know" The girl called Granule just shrugged her shoulder and moved forward.

Our protagonist thought,'They must be my peers and are here for their starters' while walking

Well our protagonist reached the place where his parents were having their conversations. They seemed to notice his presence so his mother waved her hand.

"How was your time at the lab and which pokemon did you select?" His mother asked

"I selected snivy mom. He is so powerful mom just look at his move" He replied while he took out snivy's pokeball and called him out.

"Oh my, he has learned twister and iron tail. His weakness are almost none existent" His mother commented while looking at the pokedex.

His father also joined in,"It is good for a starter"

"Oh!! I almost forgot, we have prepared a gift for you" She took out a sort of watch like device from her pocket and kept it in his hand.

"This is a Xtransceiver which will help you to keep in contact with us. Use it well" His father who was a man of few words just commented on it. It was little surprising but he didnt care about it as his gaze was just fixed on the device.

"Thank you mom thank you dad" He said it as he just wore the device around his wrist and covered it with his sleeve.

"Don't forget to call us and be safe in you're journey" She said it as she gave him a hug.

She added "Tell us all about you're adventure after you return , okay"

"Let us drop you till the entrance." She said with some tears in her eyes.

When they reached the entrance of the town they bid him farewell with the best of luck for his upcoming adventure. Let us venture with him to find about his journey and what the fate has in store for him
