23 Attention
Between the boy reciting an unknown code which suspiciously sounded similar to the Jedi, but much more liberal and literally balanced, and destroy a world. Tano and K'kruhk stared at him for a short period of time before looking at one another in silent contemplation.
It was clear this man wasn't going to give up the younglings, though Tano believed that he wasn't a bad person. She also knew that he would allow the older ones to choose their own paths.
Untrained force sensitives are vulnerable and can be considered dangerous should the wrong person get their hands on them. That was something the Jedi believed in prior to the modernization of the Order after the many Schisms.
"You're not going to hand over the remnants of the Jedi Order?" K'kruhk implored to the Imperial man who stood before him. He cared dearly for the children and while he saw that this man wasn't a bad man, he didn't trust him because of the possibilities which await in the future.
Closing his eyes, Tobias Rune would listen to the force quietly, not responding to the question. He knew that this black market auction would get the attention of many people.
There were members of the New Republic here, Sith and Darkside Cults, even former Inquisitors.
Turning his head to the side, he could sense someone approaching. Someone Tobias was familiar with, someone who he had met once before the transmigration. His eyes darted past the Jedi Master who was in front of him.
Standing in the door way was a masked female, Imperial crests on either shoulder. Her eyes glared through the red visor. She held her sabers at either side of her, deactivated. "Jedi," she muttered under her lips with an eerie tone amplified by the speaker of the helmet.
With a simple notion of a hand, as the Jedi Master was about to turn around, Teron and K'kruhk were sent flying into the wall several feet away. It had taken the two men by surprise, especially the Master who didn't sense it until it was too late.
Tano blinked a few times seeing the former Inquisitor who activated their twin red sabers and twirled them about in her fingers. Ahsoka then slowly made her way over towards the Jedi Master and Imperial Commander, checking to see if they were alright. She sensed that she herself, wasn't a target.
Sabine looked over at the Inquisitor, only to fumble the pistol as it was tossed at her by Tobias. She quickly grasped it in her hand and drew her second one by her waist.
"Traitor..." The Inquisitor growled as she suddenly charged forward at Tobias; Kraytia didn't react and instead took several steps out of the way in response. Due to this, the Third Sister began to anticipate the Mandalorian firing on her or the Togruta lunging in.
Yet both of this anticipations didn't happen. With her blade inches away from her target's throat, she felt she couldn't move. She couldn't even inch the blade forward. A single hand was out stretched, its palm facing her. She was being held in place by the force, even her resistance couldn't help her.
"You couldn't use the force the last time I saw you..." She spat beneath the helmet, groaning as she failed to push her blade into his neck.
With his other hand, he skillfully undid her grasp on her weapons and freed the sabers into his hands. Deactivating them, the weapons would be stripped apart through the use of the force, two cut Krayt pearls coming out from his pocket and sinking into the focusing crystal socket.
"And you look cuter with your helmet off, aren't we both full of surprises?" With the sabers assembled he would fit the sabers together and activate them. The lightsaber blades had a unique vibrant aquatic green with a darker green outer glow.
After deactivating the sabers, he tossed the synthetic red kyber crystals to the floor before resting the weapons on his hip. He proceeded to reach up with his free hand and gently touch the mask, still holding her in place, pushing the face plate up into the helmet.
Third Sister's face was unblemished and pale. Her eyes were a dark brown almost purple, like midnight chocolate. Her hair was cut at neck length and brown with faint gold highlights. She wore a quiet frown on her face that wasn't too prominent. She wore no makeup, no tattoos, unpainted.
He smiled seeing her face for the first time in a long time, though probably the first time since the transmigration. Even in his past life he had no idea what she looked like, so he was going through Tobias' original memory.
"If I remember correctly, your sweet spot is right about..." He moved his hand down and gently ran his index finger across her hip, causing the captive inquisitor to shutter at the touch.
With the help of Ahsoka Tano, K'kruhk was standing once again, having watched what transpired. It appeared him and this particular Inquisitorius survivor had a history.
"Just how many women do you have a history with?" Ahsoka pointed out with dull look in her eyes, wanting to call that into question, as she raised a brow.
Tobias simply glanced over towards her for a few seconds before shrugging. He wasn't going to bother answering the question, though the shrug in this instance could have a different message. It would make him look like a womanizer, someone who didn't keep count and was likely romantically irresponsible.
"About one month before the dissolution of the Inquisitorius she visited the Imperial Academy on Uyter, saw an opportunity, while hunting a Jedi's offspring on the planet. The kid was under my bed the entire time," he scoffed which made the Inquisitor growl hearing this, as she hadn't gotten the offspring of the Jedi.
Even then, that didn't matter. The Purge Troopers were used on the Inquisitors after they had been deemed necessary liabilities as none of them could replace Vader. Those who survived either defected from the Empire, or became part of the 'secret' Emperor's hand.
"Dema Brandt was your original name, correct?" He took a step back as he released her, her first punch grazing his cheek as he leaned to the side. Her follow up kick sending him directly into Sabine and causing the two to fall over.
The female inquisitor growled, "That's not my name, not anymore!" That's when she went to reach out with her hand to take her sabers back, only to feel someone grasp her shoulder. Everything faded and she went onto her knees, her consciousness struggling until it was all but gone as she clammered to the ground without a sound.
It was Kraytia who had used her power through the force to put Dema into unconsciousness.
"Master, how much attention are you trying to draw to yourself...?" She asked rhetorically as she reached down and grasped the Inquisitors leg and began dragging her out of the room. It could be assumed she was being brought back to the Corvus, or brought to the Guardian.
"Not much," Tobias was to reply with a sarcastic tone before glancing over to Sabine who was under him. His hands were keeping him propped up above her.
He couldn't see her face, but he could tell she didn't like the fact he was on top of her. He felt the tip of her mandalorian blaster against his lower rib and snickered. "Fine, fine." He would roll off of her and make his way back up onto his feet.
Tobias then let out a hand for her to take and helped the Mandalorian woman onto her feet. She then brushed herself and her hands off. It seemed her helmet's volume was muted as it looked like she was talking under the helmet, so no one was hearing a thing.
There was some clear dissatisfaction felt emanating off of her.
Ahsoka Tano gave everyone a once over before nodding, everyone was generally alright as by now everyone was standing up in the center of the room. "So now that we have all that settled with," she looked at the Jedi Master and then towards the Grand Moff.
There were many interests at stake here. She didn't want to betray the Jedi Master, though the Jedi Order had practically abandoned and betrayed her in the past. Yet she wanted her friend, Ezra to be safe, even though she knew he wouldn't use the boy as a hostage.
"Those whom are already dedicated to the Jedi Order, can remain with the Jedi if they so choose to. The Younglings will follow a different path." He was essentially taking the Jedi's Children as the Child had taken the children from their parents during the classic era. The tone was absolute, there was no way of arguing with him and K'kruhk knew that the Grand Moff wouldn't hesitate to be lethal. Even though he had just 'saved' his life from the Inquisitor, the Master had no choice but to the concede to the current power of the sector.
