Farsian: The King of Vampires

12 A New Mission

Farsian slided throu the crowd of people searching for the one with the scroll. He heard many merchants talking about their good emperor and that he planned to invent new policies to root out all the vampires within the city. Farsian became interested at the notion of vampires and stopped to chatt with some of the merchants.

There were 4 merchants standing in a small circle all fat and adored with golden rings and fine garments. Farsian with his simple clothing of an assassin seemed a little out of place so he decided not to pose as another merchant. Farsian was wearing some simple lether boots and a black robe to better help him hide in the shadows. As he approached the merchants they soon noticed him turning in his direction to have a better lock at him. Their guard seemed to smell trouble and placed one hand on their sword that gave Farsian a feeling of discomfort.

"Gentleman, it is a nice evening isn't it?" Farsian probet carefully how far he could go before their guards would attack him.

"Who are you and what do you wish from my master." A guard stepped up interrupting his approach.

"Who I am is not of importance here, what really matters is what I can do for you."

"Oh and what may that be?" Finally a merchant seemed to bite.

The merchant had a big belly and a ring on every finger. He wore fine green clothing with a beautifull decoration of fine lines here and there forming a beautifull pattern.

"Men of your calibers are sure to have some problems that are better left six feet deep under the earth am I right?" Farsian tried to describe his profession as good as possible.

"Oh so you are part of the people that exterminate the vermin in town?" The merchant semed to be of the quick sort and soon caught on to what was going on.

Farsian replied with a slight bow of courtesy "It is as you say."

"Brutus let our new friend throu we may have important bussiness to speak about." The merchant in grean waved his hand to his underling who complied and made way for Farsian.

"Since you don't seem to be interested in introducing yourself at least let us introduce ourselfes. My name is Akavier Orcho and this is Brutus my loyal servant, I trust him with my live." The green merchant introduced himself apparently his name was Akavier Orcho what a weird name.

"Since we allready started the introduction and all let me introduce the rest of us. My name is

Angelo Kartello you may call me Angelo if you really have to. This fellow in red here is Maro Marchell one of the trusted aides of mine, he keeps tab of everything related to bussiness for me." Another one of the merchants this one had more gems and gold than the previous one. How come none of them is here alone and everyone has a trusted aid at his side? This put Farsian in a disatvantage, not that he had any chance at negotiation to begin with.

2 of the 4 merchants introduced themselfes allready. The only ones left were one that wore mostly white and one that wore a purple cape that gave him a majestic feeling. But Farsian was more worried about the one in white it gave him a bad feeling.

"My name is saint Michael" Boom Farsian could hear his world crumbling around him at a rapid pace. Did that guy just call himself a saint? Did that mean that he could use holy magic?

Farsian was spacing out and the saint took notice of that luckly enugh he was so kind to explain to Farsian "One of the acting crusader was on his way to the demon realm and wen't throu our capital city and while doing so he was nice enugh to bestow me with the saint title, haha. What a fool all I had to do was give him shelter and food for free what a fool, now I have this gloryous title and can pretty much do what I want." What a nice man Farsian thought. If he wouldn't know that it was merely a title given to him by a thirsty crusader he would propably start to sweat.

Finally the last of the bunch introduced himself. There wasn't much to say except that he was the son of a noble and his wife was an excellent merchant he proppably could be lazy all the time and would still swimm in money. What an odd quartet, a wanna be holy man, someone that became rich because of his birth, someone that had a capable aide and lastly propably the only real merchant in the bunch.

In what situation did Farsian bring himself?

"Now that we introduced ourselfs how about we come straight to business? You know that people start having expectations for you when they call you a saint right? Anyways I need your help with something, there is a group of bandits that I would like to see gone ok?" The saint started with demands right from the get go, it seemed Farsian had lucked out.

"As you wish consider it as done, by the way about my payment-"

"Yes, yes offcourse your payment you will naturally receive enough gold so don't worry."

"Uhm, thank you but I was hoping that you could share information about the vampires that you were talking about earlier." Farsian had been stopped in the middle and could only try to correct the saint that was so eager to see the bandits taken care of.

"What? Why would you need to know about those filthy vampires?" Saint Michael asked bewildered.

"Actually someone tasked me to take care of a lokal vampire nest but I can't seem to locate them." Farsian tried to avoid suspicion and said something that would work with who he pretendet to be. He wondered what faces they would make if they knew he was a vampire.

-Giggle, he he he.

He accidentally started to giggle lightly which gave him a creepy look, you definetly wouldn't want to be on his hit list for sure.

The guard Brutus took a step forward just to be safe and made it clear that he would not tollerate any rude behavior.

"Pardon me." Farsian hurriedly appologised.

"N-No problem, anyway if you are looking for vampires they are sure to be in the slumms where they belong."The saint tried to look as calm as possible but his shivering ruined his attempt at doing so.

"Assassin, I may have another contract for you, if you wish to take some more gold that is." Akavier said. He was picking at his green cloth.

"Your wish is my comand." Farsian replied with a faint smile. He was trying his best to look human like.

"Actually another merchant his name is Alfred Ebenerz is trying to push me out of business so I would like you to put an end to that if you understand me." At that moment the other three people seemed to freeze with odd expressions on their faces but no one said anything.

"If you want me to I can do that but are you sure?" Farsian asked if he was sure just to be sure. If the merchant changed his mind and Ebenerz would still die people would become suspicious of him.

"Yes I am very sure. Today he bought one of the items that were supposed to be mine, he did that on purpose to send a message." Farsian didn't understand what was wrong with the merchant but he didn't care if he could take double the cash for one and the same job why not?

"Then consider it done." Farsian turned around and vanished in the crowd as if he was never there.

"Tsk" He klicked with his tounge he failed to get good information on the vampires or find the scroll all he did was get another contract.

As he walked along he repeatedly klicked his tounge and cursed inwardly. It was all way to dangerous if that saint really was a saint or if that merchant changed his mind he would be f*cked.

When he saw Narsus he was shocked and then confused, because Narsus was not alone in his arms was a woman with good curves and fine clothing. Was she a vampire? No impossible from what he learned other vampires were in the slums and propably not fit for such occasions. Then was she a human perhaps the wife of a merchant? Was Narsus going to suck her dry?

Many weird phantasys started playing in Farsians mind. Oh what ever Narsus was old enugh to care for himself why bother?

Farsian decided to ignore Narsus and insted went to search for Kaiser to inform him of the new job they had. At least the bandits could stock up their torture room for a few days or weeks if they really had to.
