39 Liberation I
Farsian walked out of the bar and into the streets. What he saw didn't shock him at all, he was used to it by now. Hell on earth had broken lose once again, only this time he would have to stay here and clean the mess up.
Who ever made this mess clearly didn't know much about him, else they would know that he was not to be joked with.
Farsian started walking, at first rather slow and then faster. Soon he came to a jog and the poor barkeeper could no longer keep up with him. Farsian was only armed with his two daggers, in retrospective it looked like a bad idea. He should have grabbed a sword or some arcane weapon of mass destruction, the hordes in front of him seemed to take no end.
"Die! Die! Die!" A guard screamed as he stabbed at a walking corpse over and over again, until finally it died. Corpses were by far stronger than humans but they weren't immortal, if you crush their hearth or their skull or you just hit them until they fall they will die eventually. Only that Farsian didn't wish to waste so much time on a single corpse so he had to take a more effective way of doing things, he simply decapitated them one after the other. Soon other corpses in the area saw him as a threat to their common goal and started to focus on him only, while the guardsmen became suspicious how he could handle so many corpses they did not dare say a word. All they cared about was that the walking corpses got taken care of.
The barkeeper didn't dare to follow Farsian into this mess and was relieved that he didn't have to go and kill them himself. After he saw Farsian and that dead corpse together in a room he was convinced that Farsian had some sort of remedy that would temporarily make him immune to their poison. If he didn't have something like that he was either extremely stupid and skilled or just lucky and stupid, either way he would die here.
Farsian on the other hand was glad that he finally got the attention of the other walking corpses in the area, with them focusing on him there would be less civilian casualty's and he would be able to reign over a more prosperous village.
"Ack, Argh Ah!" Corpses started running in his direction in large quantities. But he only danced with his two blades, skipping between their numbers and reducing them one by one until there would be no one left.
"No I can't forget, I still have to save one for questioning." He reminded himself as he cut a head in two. But he would have to be careful about it, if one of the citizen saw him capturing one of them alive they would become suspicious.
Farsian leaped behind cover and started focusing on the air around him, he could hear all manner of screams and noises that he didn't need right now. With a little focus on his part he managed to suppress these sounds and focus on the more important sounds.
"Yes Master, we are working on it right now... But there is one of them that is rather troublesome.." He could hear a faint whisper in a street that was near the center of the chaos, it sounded like a dead man talking nonsense.
"Found you!" Farsian leaped out of his cover and balanced on one of the heads in the crowd of corpses before cutting his head in two and jumping to the next one before the body could go limp, like this he made his way towards that voice.
"You will not escape me!" Farsian said as he balanced himself out in the middle of the crowd. Arms tried to reach him but every time they came close to him he would just jump to the next one and so on, they were no threat for him. Only if they truly circled him and pushed him down hindering his movement would they become a threat. At the moment they were nothing more than a bunch of practice dolls.
The villagers meanwhile went on and came together in the bar that Farsian had left previously, they started to barricade themselves and armed themselves with torches and pitchforks.
Truly this might secure them from a pack of wolves but probably not from a horde of zombies.
Farsian could only sigh as he saw this and soldier on in an attempt to catch the snakes head.
Farsian soon saw his goal, an elder corpse with what looked like a small guard stood there in an empty alley.
"Hmm? You, what are you doing aren't you scared?" One of the guarding corpses said as he saw Farsian approaching.
"Why should I? You are nothing more than an obstacle on my way, you can't stop me." Farsian responded with a smirk, although the guards could talk they were still too weak to stop him.
All he needed to do was get past them and capture their leader and everything would resolve itself afterwards.
"Then DIEEE!!!" A zombie said and charged at Farsian. The other zombies in the area also turned their heads to look at Farsian, even the elder corpse in the middle couldn't help but look at Farsian.
With nimble steps Farsian dodged a claw strike from one of the zombies and charged past him, now there were only 3 more between him and the elder corpse.
One of the 3 zombies nodded to the other two and signaled them to circle Farsian and attack him from both sides, the other 2 nodded in return and made their way to the sides of the street.
"You will not escape me, and when I eat you I will become stronger!" The zombie in the rear shouted at Farsian.
Farsian was now between 4 zombies, one on each side of him. There was no need to ask what he had to do now, he did the only thing he could think of. Charge!
Farsian looked to his right and then to his left, both were charging at him.
"Let's do this!" A zombie roared as he started to sprint at him.
*Woosh!
Before the zombie could realize what had happened he found himself in mid air, Farsian had flipped him upside down. Now Farsian only had to take care of the other one to the side and the one in front of him.
Drawing his daggers seemed like a waste of time so he continued to charge at the one in the center.
"Wha-What are you doing?! Stop him!" The center defender zombie said as he saw one of his friends easily flipped upside down.
Farsian smiled as he realized that they had started to panic, now everything would go even smother.
*Poof.
And Farsian vanished on the spot, not to be seen by any of the other two zombies.
"What happened? Did he die?" One of the Zombies commented on his disappearance.
"Fools, look behind you!" Farsian said as he re appeared next to the elder corpse with his fingers on its neck.
"Now I would like for you all to leave this village alone please." Farsian said calm and steady.
"HAHAHAHA! You are the fool! Do you really think someone like me could be the mastermind behind this invasion?!" The elder corpse said as it tried to look at Farsian a little bit closer.
"You will die in vain! Attack him!" It screamed hysterically at the other zombies in the area.
"Fuck you!" Farsian said and knocked the rotten corpse out, he still didn't kill it as that would have been a waste.
Soon the zombies in the surrounding areas started to scream and rush to Farsians location.
Farsian threw the elder zombie on a roof top and started to make an escape with full force, this time he unsheathed his two daggers and went on to make short work of the surrounding zombies.
His destination were the villagers that had barricaded themselves in the bar.
