21 Chapter 21 : Razfor
The lizardman walked, limping slightly. His clothes were torn and his blood covered clothes dripped a trail as he moved. He fell face first onto the wooden path in the village.
"Ezyl!" Called out a lizardwoman rushing over to help him off the floor.
"We must warm the chieftain!" the bleeding lizardman said.
"Alright, let's hurry!" the lizardwoman replied.
The two made their way to the chieftain's hut. As they entered the hut, a human left, dressed in black and wearing an odd looking hat. As the two walked inside they found the chieftain sitting drinking tea.
"Chieftain! the Humans, they-" The wounded lizardman began.
"They began the revolution." The chieftain finished the sentence.
"You already know?" The lizardwoman asked.
"The humans always hated us, this revolution marks the end of our village." the chieftain replied.
"Than I'll gather the villagers and-" the lizardwoman begain again but was interrupted by the chieftain "And what?! where will we go..."
Silence filled the room.
The sound of a horn was heard that moment, villages left their homes only to be horrified by what they saw. A row of twelve or so plated knights have appeared at the gates of the village.
"To all lizards present in this village, by the order of the king of this land, Lord Edmund the second, you will all leave our land. " The knight in the front said, he wore a darker armour, and was clearly more muscular, so much so his horse looked like it was struggling to keep him up.
The chieftain walked out of his tent to face the knight and said "We'll leave right away." in a defeated and tired voice.
The knights laughed, "No, you misunderstood us, lizard."
"You're leaving this world." the knight said as he gestured the men to pull out their swords.
The knight looked around the village.
"I don't see any of your disgusting welps around here," he commented.
"We sent the children off yesterday. they should be crossing the border to the elf kingdom any time now." the chieftain replied.
"That's great!" the knight replied, "Simply splendid!" he added.
"You see there was a flood in that area last week, surely this would slow them down, and now that we know where to go." The man said with a grin on his face.
"Wait, no!" the chieftain pleaded.
"Slay the man, with the women do as you wish, if you can even call them women." the man scoffed, before riding off towards the border of the elven forest.
Meanwhile at the fort...
"Hey Mi, do you see that some?" asked Gyll, covered in sweat.
"Yup," she replied.
"Hey, Kaber isn't that from around the village?" asked Mi
"It seems a bit too far to tell," Kaber replied.
"It's probably nothing," commented Razyl.
"Why don't we check" Mi suggested.
Before anyone could say anything Mi snapped her fingers and pages flew out from her sleeve and onto the floor, small origami houses took shape and people did as well. Small paper flames appeared on the houses, ink stains covered the floor. "It looks like it's under attack," Mi commented.
Kaber froze up for just a second before saying, "We have to go help them!"
"we won't make it on foot " Mi replied.
"I DONT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THAT!" Kaber called out.
"if you don't plan to help u-" Kaber added but was interrupted.
"I'm trying to say it's a good thing we aren't going on foot." Mi.
"You-" Kaber began before being teleported to the village along with Gyll.
"Why didn't you send me there too ?!" demanded Razyl.
"You'd just slow them down, I probably shouldn't have sent Gyll out there either but he'd never shut up about it," Mi replied.
Mi stood on the dirt road facing the village.
"Now, it looks like we're about to have a little chat with our guest, so hold down the fort," Mi said pulling a large spiked club out of her sleeve.
