Reborn: Rise Supreme

5 Calm Life

At a certain place...

Loud splashes echoed out from the large falls of water. The stream continued to the horizon while a couple was having a bath to this place. There was a little kid swimming on the water, deep smiles and continuous laughter came out from his tender mouth.

This couple were Louissa and Heish, enjoying their sweet talk with each other.

The well-defined muscles of a man was littered with droplets of water and his short hair smoothly fell down across his temples. He was conversing with a gorgeous woman in front of her, saying, "Time is fleeting. Glothiac easily grows fast. It had been five years since we left the village."

A woman with attractive green eyes curled her seducing lips to smile, her bulging pair of breasts was mounded by a sheet, circling her upper body. But it was unable to rid the stares of her husband, who always wanted to divert his attention away but couldn't. Her blue hair stuck to her body, adding an appeal to her charm.

She replied to his husband as she chortled sweetly, "It had been five years but Glothiac can still remember anything, including the part when he unleashed his elements at the village."

"He truly had the ability of an immortal, a photographic memory. However to an extent of remembering since being an infant, that was impossible yet it truly happened to our child." As Heish spoke those words, he couldn't help but reminisce to the days when they left the village.

"Mother, Heish, I've found a fish" Glothiac approached them swiftly, floating a bit higher than the surface of the water.

His appearance was otherworldly, often mistaking as a girl if not for his kiddo's voice. His hair had packed up on his head, shimmering in a deep black obsidian color, much more eye-catching than his mother's blue hair.

His beauty could trample an entire empire and overthrow countless cities with just a mere glance, despite being a five year child.

Above him, a giant serpent that looked like fish, towered above the skies, eclipsing the couple with its astronomical shadow. It was 50 feet long, and 21 feet wide.

However, it didn't shock them as if they had already accustomed to it.

"Glothiac, how many times I told you, don't wander aimlessly and kill fishes randomly." Louissa scolded her son as she continued, "And don't call your father with his name. Call him father, father!"

This serpent could not be basically called as fish. However, Glothiac had killed multiple amounts of bigger aquatic beasts than this. Hence, this serpent even with its large size, was called as fish.

"Father is Heish, so he is Heish. If he proved to be stronger than me, I'll call him father." Glothiac seemed to be adamant not calling Heish as a father. "And mother, I didn't intend to kill this fish. It was said in the book, one needed strength to protect than to kill carelessly. This serpent aimed to strike both of you, so I killed it before it could do anything."

"But killing a fish remained as killing a living being. What if it had children to feed? Are you willing to become responsible for it?" Louissa maintained her cold font.

"I don't want to be responsible with serpent babies. I am already contented with the striped-tiger." Glothiac as a kid, was full of words. He continued, "Besides, if I left it alive, it could happen to kill someone aside from you. And those serpent babies, if they will grow up like its mother, I think it is better for them to starve to death."

Louissa wanted to continue to chide her son but was stopped by her husband.

Heish touched at his wife's shoulder as he said, "Let him be. He got a point."

"But Heish, he may take a wrong path." Louissa was in great concern for the growth of her son.

"Don't worry. We got Orlan. Oh talk of the devil." Heish gently spoke to his wife when he caught in the corner of his eye, the bulking muscled size of Orlan.

"Hoho, talking about me this early morning." Orlan came from the long grasses beside of a boulder. The yellow sunlight landed on his body, with his keen leather armor reflecting light. The wind blew to his ruffled hair, that had already experienced a major wind assail with its disarrayed order.

"Hello brother, what made you come here?" Louissa greeted his brother with a chuffed expression.

"You already know. Its none other than to accompany you. It must be lonely with just the three of you. Oh Hey! This damn kid, you killed a serpent that size! Same deal, same profit. You know it bad kid!" Orlan normally voiced his words when he was suddenly astonished to see the serpent that lied across the ground, heavily weighted the grass below it. He loudly guffawed of the possible profits he would gain from selling the great parts of this serpent.

"As long as you give me more books." Gloathiac widely smiled, showing his pearly teeth. If a girl caught this scene, she would be dumbstruck of his beauty, even of his childish behavior.

Upon hearing his response, Orlan laughed even more, uttering incohensive words, "Of course of course!"

Upon gaining the profits of lots of gold, with just the meager amount of books pricing at silvers, he would receive a bigger portion of the currencies.

Those books were all about history, introduction to magic, martial arts. But what Gloathiac was intrigued with was those books filled with logic and rational information. Such as knowing thy enemy, victory is claimed. Skills were honed by experience. And more than that.

Even Heish was troubled with it. Since he could remember, Glothiac had always kept calling him father until he had chanced a book, stating strength determined status.

Since then, Glothiac consistently called him "Heish", but Louissa as "mother". The reason for the differential treatment was that women were an exception, even if Heish always tried to fight back with logic that every human was equal, either man or woman. However, Glothiac refused to it as women were born with a constitution lower than men. It was a fact.

Heish could only sigh in exasperation.

Louissa spoke of a sudden, "Umm, brother, I think I remember you had brought a pleasant gift for your nephew. I want to see it."

Heish listened and he expectantly looked at his brother-in-law.

Orlan responded with shyness, "I have wanted to surprise him for that. You little sis! Okay come here, tiny kid. I've not wasted lot of my savings from our profits of those little deals just for my sake. I'll give you this book, a cultivation path, holding a giant price of a single gold."

"Oh!!!" Glothiac shouted out in exultation. "This is my biggest wish. You're the best, uncle!"

"As long as you're happy kid." Orlan laughed with his thundering voice, echoing his voice. He earned lots of gold, and one gold didn't matter.

He could buy more high prices and a great quality of a cultivation book. However, given Glothiac's tremendous talent, this book was enough.

Heish upon witnessing his son calling his Orlan as "uncle" while he as "Heish", he was greatly jealous and upset.

Louissa only giggled from the side.

The lively chirps of birds resounded out, entailing the jocund spring. Gentle breeze swayed in the air, taking mirth of the season. The sun casted its glow, covering the green lands with its yellow blanket. The few drifting clouds were littered across the skies and the nature's appearance was in tandem to celebrate the peaceful weather.

A while later, Louissa was attending to house work in an imposing house looking like a mansion.

The designs was dazzling, looking modernly, with Glothiac tastes on arts. It was truly a mansion if not for traditional designs, adapted by this world.

This house no longer needed cleaning as Glothiac was adequate alone. His elemental prowess was top-notch. Glothiac could live independently on his own, even cooking a delicacy better than his mom.

However, Glothiac prefer his mom's cook and Louissa also preferred to do her mom's role as a parent.

There were art wall paintings hanging to the walls, of famous mortals of the nearby city, as well as traditional curtains with an embroidery of mythical and legendary beast designs, while also having flowery according to the necessary places.

A place for cooking was situated around the corner, filled with utensils. Louissa had no problems with everything, it was said to be perfect.

Glothiac had made everything by plain scratch, experimenting his innate powers since he had took it as a goal.

Everything in the past looked poor in contrast to the present. It was previously a hut, with crude making. It was built by Orlan and Heish, but due to their lacking ability, it could only sustain as a plain shelter.

But right now, it was entirely different. They could be endlessly rich if needed. If Glothiac could make everything of his own, constructing buildings, make trees; they could have already reached the upper circle of the society.

But Glothiac had his own principles, after his constant experience of reading. One's greed could bring you down. If he exposed himself, the greed of the strangers, which were the city's unknown people, would target him and even implicate his family.

In order to satisfy his enjoyment, Glothiac only lusted for knowledge. He also researched about logic of life, as what were morally wrong or right. That was the path of life he had right now, peaceful and tranquil.
