Chapter 109 - Living With Eliza
Chapter 109 Living With Eliza
Jocelyn was especially touched by Eliza’s words.
Eliza seemed extremely happy to be able to leave this place that reeked of antiseptic. She urged Jocelyn to hurry up and get dressed.
And it was Eliza who helped Jocelyn pay for the hospitalization fees.
After getting a doctor’s certificate from the hospital, Jocelyn followed Eliza back to Stephen’s house. Sophia, the butler, who had long received the news, was waiting at the door with her gold-rimmed glasses. When she saw Eliza and Jocelyn, she quickly walked up to them. “Good morning, Miss Eliza. Miss Jocelyn.” Sophia bowed in the direction of Jocelyn and Eliza.
“Good day.” Although Jocelyn was still injured, she straightened her back, picked up her dress with both hands, and bowed perfectly. Her actions were elegant like a princess living in a palace.
Seeing that Jocelyn respected her, Sophia smiled.
Eliza had many friends, but Jocelyn was the only one who could get Sophia to like her.
Jocelyn is really unlikeable, Sophia thought to herself and walked ahead to guide Jocelyn.
“I’ve arranged a room for you. It’s the same room you used to live in. I’ve put some mandarins in it as decorations. If you don’t like it, I can take it out.”
“Oh, by the way, I heard from Miss Eliza that you are an excellent fashion designer, so I put a sewing machine in your room, a drawing board, and some other small tools. I hope these can come in handy.”
“In fact, I’m not a real fashion designer. I’m still an intern in the studio. But I really like what you prepared for me. Thank you.”
Jocelyn thanked her sincerely, which made the smile on Sophia’s face widen a little more.
Sophia turned her head in time and walked forward with her head held high. No one saw the change in her face, and similarly, no one saw the smugness in her eyes.
Miss Jocelyn was really a sweet girl. It was really pleasant to serve Miss Jocelyn!
Different from how satisfied Butler Sophia was, Eliza, who heard Jocelyn’s explanation, frowned unhappily. She reached out a hand and hooked it around Jocelyn’s neck, pulling her towards her. At the same time, she pouted and said unhappily, “Hey, Jocelyn, you have to believe in my judgment. I’ve seen your work. Even if you are only an intern fashion designer now, I believe that one day, you will become an excellent fashion designer. Please don’t question me, okay?”
“If you doubt my judgment, I will be very sad.”
Jocelyn felt a surge of warmth upon hearing that. She removed Eliza’s arm from her shoulder and hugged it. “I will.” “I will work hard towards becoming an outstanding fashion designer.” Amidst their laughter, they quickly arrived at the door of the room that Butler Sophia had prepared for Jocelyn. When they opened the door, what greeted their eyes was the color of cream.
There were white curtains with dark flowers printed on them and blue bedsheets with flowers and lace. On the table that was covered with a printed tablecloth, there was a transparent vase decorated by a bunch of green bellflowers, making the entire room suddenly lively. The room was even filled with a faint fragrance.
As it was nearing the afternoon, the sunlight outside was not that dazzling. It shone into the room through the translucent white curtains, making the room look golden. Jocelyn could almost imagine herself sitting by the window, working and designing. This was a room that could put people in a good mood. Just one look at it made Jocelyn happy.
“Miss Jocelyn, look at this room. Is there anything else that needs to be changed?” Butler Sophia asked in a low voice.
Eliza added, “If there’s anything you need to get rid of, you can tell Sophia. Treat this place as your home.”
Eliza placed her hands on Jocelyn’s shoulders and pushed her towards the center of the room, allowing her to see the decorations in the room better.
“Butler Sophia did very well. I like it very much. Thank you.”
