21 Draconic Armor
"Similar to the Life Tree, she's the 'bonus objective' for conquering a small objective."
Everyone understood right away. They were all wondering what wondrous benefits a child could give? Especially when thinking about the Life Tree. Essentially unlimited amounts of the cleanest water on this Earth, that had miraculous effects in long-term drinking that was amazing for one's overall health. Not to mention what fruits it might bear.
Some people wanted to ask, but they were aware that if Luna knew and wanted to tell them, he would. If not, then that is decision of their leader. Everybody was aware of the haven this man was about to bring countless others. They would rather curb their curiosity, than try to inquire about something they shouldn't.
Regardless, they had now conquered a pretty decent amount of territory. Luna's next target was St. Scholastica's Academy directly to their South. There was only one issue: It was considered a Large territory.
What if there was another type opponent like the Daughter of the Earth. What then? If he wasn't strong enough, then everything he worked for would go down in flames.
The answer was simple: Occupy all the surrounding territories first, that way the rifts are forced to open within the territory, invest in turrets to place on the walls surrounding the school, then trigger the challenge.
After the recent challenge, Boni and those around his level reached level 25. They had only gained 5 levels despite the grueling massacre they just did. This was because EXP was shared with everyone, including the decent EXP bonus everyone got for conquering territories.
Luna and Sura had reached level 29, mainly because of the massive EXP bonus he personally got from defeating the , bringing him much closer to hitting level 30. He had invested the points he gained into VIT, bringing his total vitality to 66. This was mainly because his AGI stat was at a comfortable level and due to the fact that a lot of his passives scaled off of VIT. Sura had also told him that her 3 heads and 6 arms form skill's duration scaled off of the same stat as well. STR was largely ignored after the initial 10 stats people put on it in the beginning, as they relied on their upgraded weapons for the most part.
After all, what's the use of hitting hard if you hit slow, or you get taken down after a farts in your direction. Of course, initially some people wanted to invest stats into strength, because the idea of doing a lot of damage appealed to them. Thankfully, for his group, Luna prioritized explaining about stat builds early on.
What Luna wanted everyone to rest first. He also wanted to check out the bonus items he got. The , which made him curious, since it says it was armor, but it looked like a cube in his inventory. He didn't doubt it was valuable, since he could feel the power emanating from it. The text on it was blue as well, which meant that it was indeed considered a "rare" item at first glance.
Soon, everybody headed back to rest, since in less than 10 hours, they would be expecting survivors to start arriving.
In Luna's room.
The little spider monkey was still enjoying her little piggyback ride on Luna.
"Go to your.... mother first." Luna still felt a bit awkward, after all, he hadn't even thought of the prospect of having a kid even before the new world, how much more now that they were in the apocalypse.
But, like any wise man would say: If you're gonna have a daughter, at least have one that can send a full VIT level 20 tank flying, in a single punch.
She got off of Luna and embraced Sura, to which her mother replied told her "Little one, let's go take a bath first. I'm sure your.. father will have a lot to talk to you about later."
"Yes, mother!"
As soon as the two left the room, Luna focused on the dark cube in front of him as he analyzed it.
After reading the description he came to find out that it was actually a life form, but it had no will, no soul. It basically needed someone to wear it in order to take form.
It would the imbue the user with power befitting their current strength and evolve with the user as well. It was similar to Apolaki and Mayari's blessing, with the exception that it was an actual piece of equipment. Which meant that Sura couldn't inherit the benefits from this one.
After equipping it, it would bind itself to the user, and forge their body anew, eliminating any impurities, forging your bones, muscles, increase the vitality in one's blood, allowing you to surpass the human potential, to closely resemble that of a True Dragon in whatever form the one who equipped the armor had, whether you're humanoid or even an evolved beast.
One could hide it all, and the hard layers would be beneath their skin, and when the user willed it, he could reveal the armor's true form, increasing his defensive and offensive capabilities. Essentially, it would become a part of the user's body under their full control.
This armor was incredibly beneficial and convenient as well, seeing as it's capabilities scaled with it's owner. Such were the rewards of being the first to occupy a medium territory.
But what about a large one? What about being the first one to kill the ? There wouldn't be rewards for occupying a City, since it's just a collection of territories, but the , what drops would he have and what bonus drops would the new world give for being the first one to take one of them down? Only time will tell.
"Equip Draconic Armor."
"Yes."
As soon as he confirmed it, the cube dispersed into countless threads and penetrated into his skin, through his muscles, into his bones.
He felt as if his whole body was being stabbed by countless knives, the only comforting thing was that in the midst of all the pain, he felt the incredible amount of power his body muscles were radiating, his bones started to feel like they were getting heavier, tougher.
Luna gritted his teeth through all this, all he could do was breathe heavily while on his hands and knees.
By the time the process was done, he could only observe himself as he felt power course through his body. He then looked around at the mess around him, especially with the impurities that vacated his body, he definitely had to clean up before Sura gets back.
