7 Butchers castle pt. 2
The place where all the festivities took place was a huge pool, of a mixture between blood and wine. The wine kegs were laying in a chaotic manner everywhere. In a similar chaotic way were bloody corpses laying everywhere. I couldn't comprehend at first what I was seeing. The corpses of a whole village were laying in one place. Everyone got mutilated in a nearly animalistic way. The disturbing truth was that the cuts were to clean to originate from a claw or fangs.
This irritating reality was completed with a huge daemon that was feeding of a hill of still living children in one corner. When the daemon turned around I was shook. The daemon was grinning completely unhuman. It was grinning so much that the corner of his mouth ripped apart, giving of a bloody tattered appearance. The face of the earl placed on its head like a mask. Its fat bare upper body was shining from all the gore and blood that came in contact with it. One hand was holding a huge butcher knife covered in blood so much that it was running down his hands.
It suddenly laughed in the usual way the earl used to laugh. With his usual happy voice it said: "Evelyn, Darling u couldn't even see the best part of it. Come here. I will show u the greatness of your highness, Jack." His voice gave a huge contrast to his smile and the way his mouth moved.
He slowly started walking in my direction. His arms wide open like he wanted to hug me.
Coming back to my senses I turned around and ran. Thinking slowly, I remembered that the fastest way out of the castle are some underground tunnels, which were created for emergency purposes. While running, I could feel that the human pig behind me started running too. His heavy footsteps were shaking the floor.
"Evelyn, Honey why are u running? I just want to introduce Jack to you. EEEeeeevveee-"
In my haste I forgot to bring any lights with me. Going down into the pure darkness I felt like that was the biggest mistake of my life. Still I lived in this castle for half my life, I was confident in knowing the way. Straight through the wine cellar, down the stairs again. By now I could not see a single thing anymore and was more following the way by touching the wall. I heard a loud noise upstairs. Probably the monster coming down.
"EEeeveelyn!?! Stop running. You know that I will find you."
Fear stroke my heart. Fear of moving to slow. Fear of him catching up. His footsteps slowly but steady behind me. Never losing him. Now I was at the deepest point of the castle. To the right. Running around the corner I felt a small hope rising in me. I can make it. I can escape.
Thud... thud... thud...
He is still behind me. My lungs were working like a engine. I couldn't understand how he could keep up walking at the same slow pace while I was running.
"EEeeveelyn. Dear why are u running? Why are u making Jack angry?"
I didn't look back but I was pretty sure he was close, way to close. I am running and running. A never stopping Perpetua mobile driven by fear alone.
The relive I felt when I finally saw the exit was so enormous, that I started crying.
"EEeeveelyn, stop running it is useless."
I opened the door. Ready to wake up from the nightmare. I stumbled outside.
A castle yard, corpses, bloody corpses were everywhere. The fat Daemon sitting on a hill of corpses and laughing. Laughing at my naivety.
"HaHahaHAhahaHA u really HAHaha u really thought u can escape Jack aaaAAAAHAHAHA"
My mind was spinning. Still feeling the tears of joy on my face, I felt a sense of forsakenness. Fate was playing with me. God why? Why did u hate me so much? Why couldn't u just kill me but let me stay in the hands of this monster?
I looked up. It was standing before me.
"Evelyn, Dear don't cry" His voice god, this happy way to normal voice. "Tears wont make dying any better."
He was right. Why am I even crying? Thinking about that I had to laugh:"Hihihihihi aaahhhhHAHAHHAHA"
His psychopathic laugh also started again while he lifted his butcher knife up.
Moments later another head rolled in the castle. Even while beheaded one could still hear two people laughing together for a while till the castle got silent again.
