"Hi, I'll be your roommate from now!"

Lu Fengyi reached for a handshake, however the boy did not respond, only staring blankly at him. Slightly anxious Lu Fengyi quickly thought to the system, 'System, is there anything important to know about this guy?'

[ Ahh, him? This boy is your system representative who will be aiding you within your first tutorial. As you know, since your rank was unfavourable, you were assigned to a shared dorm and for confidentiality reasons, it's best if other students do not find out about us. Lu Fengyi retracted his hand before questioning the system further, 'So does it do anything other than take up space?'

Lu Fengyi though for a few moments before continuing, 'So do I have to interact with the system representative or treat it in a special way?'

[ No, even if you leave him be, the system representative will not change. All you need to know about the system representative is that he is your seat belt to any plot crashes ]

Thanking the system quickly, Lu Fengyi hurriedly unpacked his books and bedding gear, setting everything up before entering his consciousness to revisit the Cultivation Knowledge Pack once more. Having finished his tasks that a new student would need to complete, Lu Fengyi was now completely free to spend the rest of his time in leisure.

Hours passed by quickly and the blazing sun had already descended beneath the mountains by the time Lu Fengyi exited his consciousness. Letting out a yawn, Lu Fengyi, like the blazing sun, descended within his blankets and closed his eyes, finally able to relax after looking through the most important parts of the knowledge pack.

Only minutes later, Lu Fengyi opened his eyes once more, showing a wry grin. Just like every single school dorm he had seen in anime, dramas and cartoons, there would always be several people partying in nearby rooms, keeping every single person awake. Lu Fengyi sighed towards himself, trying to request the system for advice, 'System, do you have any function that will allow sound blockage?'

[ In fact, I do, however I am currently unauthorised to use it for your situation ]

Confused by the ambiguous answer, Lu Fengyi continued asking, 'Does that mean that you will be authorised in due time?'

[ Indeed, I will be. I'm not supposed to leak this to you, however sound blocking as one of the extras you can buy with T-gold and once purchased, I will gain the authorisation to use it for you ]

'Can't be helped then.'

Lu Fengyi rolled into his blankets once more, digging his head deep into the pillow, attempting to block out majority of the sound. Despite his efforts, occasional shouts and cries pierced the thick cotton depths of the pillow, waking him every so often.

It was truly a sleepless night.

Lu Fengyi rolled in the blankets one last time before leaping out of the bed and throwing on the academy robes he had gotten from the receptionist the day before. 'Thank god you're able to wake me up, otherwise I'd be sleeping till noon considering my old sleep patterns!' Lu Fengyi exclaimed within his thoughts.

[ That is no problem. I am cleared to do at least that ]

Grabbing the set of books and swishing his robes, Lu Fengyi left the room he had been assigned, locking it with a key on the way out. As he strode across the hallways and down the several flights of steps, Lu Fengyi made contact with many other students, each hurrying towards the academy for their first ever lesson.

Retracing his steps from yesterday, Lu Fengyi made his way over to the academy alongside the other students before splitting up into the different floors of the academy. As Lu Fengyi descended deeper and deeper down the steps, the number of students he could see dramatically decreased and eventually, he became the only one still walking down the steps.

Upon finally reaching the bottom floor, Lu Fengyi strode towards the classroom he had seen Zhang Xuan and Wang Ying within the day before. Lu Fengyi pushed upon the door and entered the classroom, noticing five students already sitting in the old, worn-out seats and facing the front of the classroom. Although the students were already seated, Zhang Xuan was still nowhere to be seen, but of course that was due to it not even being time to start class yet.

"Hi! I'm going to be your new classmate today. My name is Lu Fengyi and I hope we get along."

Lu Fengyi bowed lightly, introducing himself quickly before taking a seat towards the front of the classroom.

"Uhm, nice to meet you! My name is Wang Ying and I saw you yesterday..." Wang Ying tailed off awkwardly. Although she had gathered all her courage in order to greet the young man she had seen yesterday, Wang Ying was still unable to fully commit.

Lu Fengyi noticed the awkwardness and immediately responded to break the silence, "I remember you! I saw you standing next to teacher yesterday."

Wang Ying blushed slightly in embarrassment before taking a breath and replying, "I just really wanted to ask. How did you know the answer to the question that you were given during your examination. I asked around and even my family's grand elder was not able to interpret it correctly."

Lu Fengyi thought back for a moment before recalling the question and answering, "I heard about it from my parents from when I was young. Due to the high expectations that my parents held for me as well as the fact that both my parents were intense scholars made me end up reading a load of books when I was young, all the way till now. Hence, I know quite a lot about the theory behind cultivation, however my cultivation is genuinely non-existent compared to everyone else."

Wang Ying opened her mouth to reply to Lu Fengyi, however just at that moment, the door swung upon and an energetic Zhang Xuan walked through it.

From the back of the classroom, the only fat student in the class shuffled quickly in front of Zhang Xuan and cried out enthusiastically, "Zhang laoshi, you are here! Look, I have already finished cleaning up the room!"
