Supreme System Devourer

17 Disturbance

A ghostly green wolf drifted amongst the trees as it floated through the forest. Lounging around lazily, it swatted at lesser creatures. They squealed in terror and ran from the terrifying beast. Small creatures scampered here and there, eager to avoid this lazy death machine.

[HEY! HEY!]

[DONE PLAYING???]

The system's voice rang out from the wolf's head. In an exasperated tone, it berated the wolf. For the thousandth time, it cursed Fang for abandoning it with a stupid and lazy animal.

[Hey!]

[Hey!]

[COME ON!]

[Let's GO!]

[REVENGE TIME!!!]

[MOVE you buffoon!]

The wolf glided forward lazily, relying on wind to push it's corporeal body forward.

[BUFFOON! MOVE FASTER!]

The system nearly cried out of exasperation. It was truly cursed by the gods...what a pitiful and wretched existence it lived. Sighing in sadness, it persuaded the wolf to move on forward.

"But...why?" the wolf thought.

Indeed it was capable of speech. However, it had developed such a lazy personality that it would never actually resort to opening it's mouth to speak. Instead, it chose to rely on the telepathic abilities of ghosts and spirits that it had acquired over it's many hours spent devouring smaller creatures. Such gluttony had enabled it to level up to a terrifying degree.

[BECAUSE THAT HUMAN HAS INSULTED US THAT'S WHY! DON'T QUESTION YOUR MASTER! DO AS YOU ARE TOLD!]

The wolf frowned with displeasure. It was not used to being active for long periods of time. Changing it's schedule so suddenly would ruin it's carefully mapped out energy expenditure. Such painstaking effort to use as little energy as possible was wasted for a foolish revenge quest. Sighing in displeasure, it obeyed.

Loping forward with a leaping stride, it rushed down the mountain following the the scent of the human. It sniffed the air and wagged its corporeal tail. It's hackles began to rise and the ghostly green fur on it's back bristled with power. Growling menacingly, it began to make it's way down to the village. It was time for chaos.

Roaring with a powerful screaming noise coming from it's vocal aperture, it wailed painfully as if a banshee was trying to escape it's imprisonment within the wolf's soul. Screeching and howling it caused a ruckus in the village.

The starlit sky only served to further emblazon it's presence in the minds of the villagers. A fiery green wolf descended the mountain, with burning blue eyes. It had long ivory canines, sharper than a sword. Flaming wings extended to each side and flapped terrifyingly creating a sharp gale. It's claws were purely white, sharper than knives and the cutting insults from a loved one. Screaming, it descended into the chaotic town ground.

In his house, Fang slowly opened his bloodshot eyes. His meditation was complete. He had completely comprehended the Reaper's Law... the Law of the Scythe was his to command forever.
