Tales of the Paladin

34 My Story

Yan and Rosella went inside her office to settle for a while. Yan sat down on the Guild Master's official seat while Rosella sat on his lap.

Rosella wanted to reprimand him about that only Guild Masters can sit on that chair. Yan didn't listen, instead he kissed her deeply while his hands roamed around her heavenly body. She didn't know what to do him. She can only sigh at his overbearing attitude. In the end, she let Yan sit on her chair.

Rosella was still shy about everything. All of this was really new to her. Though different from her usual life, she like this very much and didn't refuse when Yan carried her into this intimate position.

It was the first time for a very long time did Rosella felt this much love and care. She still didn't know why she felt like this with Yan but she knew that within his arms is the place where she truly belong and felt safe.

Rosella lied her head into Yan's chest, listening to his every gentle heartbeat. She was quietly staring at his dreamy deep blue eyes

Yan told Rosella about his childhood. What he did when growing up. He also told Rosella about Snow's family, Rae's background and things about his parents. Of course, he didn't tell that he was a transmigrator. He decided to keep it for himself yet and will only tell his wives in the right time. Or maybe he will keep it a secret forever.

Yan told Rosella their adventures inside the Misty Forest and killing the all its bosses and harvesting lots of monster cores. He ended his story when him with Rae and Snow came to town.

In his lap, Rosella slightly got up when she heard their story. She look at Yan with complicated emotions.

Yan couldn't help but laugh at her funny face.

After a few seconds, Rosella only shook her head then sighed. She came back into his embrace.

"I didn't think that you three have these story. Of course I know who your parents are and the situation in the capital. Your parents and their party are the stuff of legends in the royal capital. I only saw them once when they paraded on the royal capital when they were about to leave for the portal. At first, we all thought that it was a glorious event when their party were sent to that portal. Only when I got stronger and older did I realised that they were sent to their death.

The Tudors holds the most authority in the whole continent. Even though your parents were very strong, they still couldn't refuse the mission and were sent to that very dangerous place. Even with my level, I still can't approach that area. That place is hell on earth. Strong monsters roam on those parts. Due to the opening of the portal, it altered that place and its weather also changes to the extreme very rapidly. Only the strongest and the bravest of all are the ones who are able to reach there."

Rosella stared at his face deeply. She pinched and pulled his cheeks with her two hands. She wear a serious expression.

'I have fallen in the clutches of a troublesome, perverse but exaggeratedly handsome man. Sigh. The future ahead will be bleak and full of bitter encounters.'

Yan was amused while looking at her complicated expressions. It was like he can read her thoughts.

"What? Do you regret your decision to marry me? Well, it's too late now. You'll never escape from me. Hahaha!"

"..."

Rosella just looked at him deeply. She stopped playing with his face and then buried her face into his chest and shook her head lightly.

"No. I don't regret anything and I won't escape. Everyone has their own stories to tell. I already decided that I would marry you and I will follow you to the ends of the earth. And also, you're not the only one who have problems. Now that you've seduced me, my problems are going to be your problems as well."

When Yan heard her reply, he was moved. He then laughed loudly.

"There are no big problems in front of me. Schemes and tricks are useless in front of an unstoppable force. Hahaha!"

He slightly lifted her face a looked at her eyes deeply. Slowly, he moved his face forward to kissed her red lips. Only after quite some time did they separated. Rosella cheeks were blood red, drunk with all of his kisses tonight.

She calmed down then closed her eyes. She started to reminisce her sorrowful past.

"Now, I'm going to tell you my story."

"Okay." As he caressed her face.

"As you know, I'm a half-breed. I'm a half-blood elf and half-human. My mother was a blood elf while my bastard of a father was a human."

Yan noticed her shifting emotions. When she mentioned her mother, Yan saw sadness and love in her face while noticed her undisguised anger and disgust when mentioning her father. Yan, to her story, listened quietly.

"My mother was a fierce warrior. Like myself, she was also a Warlock and was far stronger than my current self in the Raging Lands. The United Arms and the Bloody Alliance had countless of secret skirmishes around the world every time. Once, my mother and other representatives from the Bloody Alliance, were secretly travelling to the Empire of the Pandarens as an envoy and gather intelligence from the United Arms. She was the one who lead that voyage. Unknown to them, their secret travel in the ocean were compromised and was ambushed on their way by the warships of the United Arms. After a long and fierce battle, only my mother survived that night.

The attack was headed by the family of Wenchester, my father's family. The Wenchesters hold the second highest power in Stormrein, only next to the Royal Family. The Tudors and Wenchesters holds deep ties. They were the major family who rebelled the old royal family, the Mercury."

Yan smirked. Rosella's father's family, the Wenchesters, were his fated enemy.

"My mother was captured and was secretly delivered to the outskirts Stormrein. A small garrison that was owned by my father. Her cultivation was disabled the whole time. She was tortured and humiliated for years just to get information. Due to her beauty, that bastard lusted my mother. She was...raped, again and again, by my father during those time and conceived me."

Seeing her in verge of crying, Yan hold her more tightly.

Rosella slowly calmed down. She was happy in his embraced. She felt even safer every time.

"Even when she was pregnant with me, my mother were still continued to be tortured by him. My mother still continued to resist. Months later, I was born. Even then, my father never took care of me.

Years later, when we were still imprisoned that garrison that was owned by my father's family, spies from The Raging Lands sneak in passed the guards to rescue my mother. It turned out that she was from a high ranking noble family in the Raging Lands.

My mother carried me the whole time we were running away from them. My mother's cultivation was still sealed at that time. When a high level fire mage released an attack to my mother, she released me threw me away to a river in hope that I will survive. I still remembered her last words for me.

'My dear daughter, there will be a time when a person will come to you. He will love you to the bottom of the sea, cherish you with all his heart and will protect you with his life. The moment you see him, you will know immediately.'

I cried. I didn't know what she meant. For the first time, I saw her cry. Even when they hurt her for so many years, she never let out a single tear. Not even one. It was only at that time I saw her cry.

I was washed away by the river. I didn't drown. There was a spell that was protecting me. Days later, I was on verge of dying from hunger and thirst. An old man saved me. Even though I have a face of a blood elf, without hesitation, he took care of me. He fed me and dressed me. He took me as his own daughter and I acknowledge him as my Godfather. He made me what I am today. After my mother, he was the one that I am thankful the most.

All my life, I never forgave that bastard. When I became stronger and my talent was renowned in the capital, he approached me and then commanded me to take up his family name. I refused and cursed him for harming my mother all those years.

He lashed out. He wanted to use force but my Godfather was a very strong and respectable man in the capital. But his powers were still enough to throw me in this place."

Yan laughed.

"Well, even though you hated your father, I still have to thank him. Because of him, I get to meet you."

Rosella got up from Yan's arms and looked him in the eye. She reached her hands to touch his face.

"I thought that it was my Godfather, the man who my mother talked about. But the moment I saw you, I believe that you're that man who came into my life and will save me from this abyss I am in. Yan, are you really him?"

Yan looked straight to her eyes. He smiled and said confidently.

"Of course."
