The Combat System

9 The Celestials, Part 2

The demonized Mundo never thought that Aurum could run that fast. He was, at first stunned, then went back into his rage.

"You shameless coward! Didn't you say you can't back down from a fight?! And now you're running away when danger befalls you? Come back right here, you little b*tch!" as soon as he said that, he bolted towards the direction where Aurum left.

While Mundo was running, he was taking down everything in his way, be it humans or other objects. He didn't spare a single glance towards any destruction he made. He desperately wanted to obtain Aurum right now. He doesn't even view Aurum as a human being, instead he saw him as a tool. A undiscovered tool that would help him rise up at the ranks of humanity.

'If I can get him, I'll have everything that the world has to offer. Who knows, those guys would be pleased with my actions that they may give me more power' Mundo thought.

=========================================================

While Mundo was chasing Aurum, Dmitri who was still sent flying, was looking at the both of them. As he was amused, he suddenly heard a message from someone.

"My little Vlad, if anything happens to that kid, you already know what's going to happen to you, right? A single scratch from my protégé, and your life will be hanging by a thread," a mysterious voice said.

If there was someone else who could have heard that voice, they would probably just ignore it and think that they are way too stressed out. However, for Dmitri, who recognized the voice right away, trembled in excitement and fear.

"No way! It's actually Master's voice.... Didn't he die millions of years ago when he was surrounded by those petty gods? After hiding his presensce from me and everyone for all those years, is he finally back?" Dmitri thought.

"What are you doing, spacing out for? Go, scram! Keep him alive even if it means you being dead, and make him get stronger! I need him for the day when I kill those f*cking hypocrites!" the voice roared.

"Right away, Master! I won't let you down, I promise!" Dmitri instantly responded and took action.

He didn't dare to waste even a single second, as the thought of the Master's fury descending upon him gave him chills.

"Aurum Est, I wonder who you are... You managed to gain my Master's attention, and he even needs you to kill them..." Dmitri thought.

========================================================

At the God's realm, the news of the ascension of an ordinary human into a god greatly astounded many living gods. However, there was still another news that surprised them even more, and that is the second consecutive meeting of Zeus, Odin, and the Almighty One. Many gods were currently speculating on what was happening right now.

Some said that there might be another Great War coming and this time, they would place the humans where they really belong. Some even said that they would slaughter every single thing that they created and would rebuild everything back from scratch. All gods thought that this was easy to do, but they believed that those three was gathering here to prevent conflict.

Well, they weren't right nor wrong at the same time. They were right that the three major gods would bring forth the end of the world and recreate it from the beginning. However, they were wrong about the part that they thought it was easy. Only handful of people only knows how Zeus was heavily injured by Aurum, while he was knocked out cold.

Inside the conference chamber, Zeus, Odin, and the Almighty One had a wide smile across their faces right now. They were really happy that a single move from the Celestial Beings that they sent, would make Aurum run for his life.

"HAHAHA! Almighty One, you are a genius!" Zeus was laughing from the bottom of his heart.

"I concur with that! Almighty One really is good at doing things like this behind the scene!" Odin tried to complement him, but ended up saying something bad.

"Surely, you are jesting my fellow gods. Those two souls came from you're faction. If we did not have them, we would not be able to do anything of this sort," the Almighty One didn't even get offended by the words of Odin earlier, and just gave them compliment too.

"No matter what we do, these humans really are full of themselves aren't they? They just keep on abusing our gifts, and even try to use it against us," Odin said.

"I agree, those ungrateful humans always ask for many things whenever they are in dire states. However, when they are still flourishing, they will forget about us and try to take over us," Zeus approved.

"My fellow gods, how about we move the Ragnarok, Hell on Earth, and Ogyges on them? If we do this, we can restart the world again and we can decide their fates again from the start," the Almighty One proposed.

"Yes, I'm really tired of trying to make a temporary solution for every problem those humans create. We did a lot things just to restore the balance that they wrecked, but history keeps on repeating itself all over again," Zeus said.

They remembered the time where the Roman Empire became a powerhouse in the entire Earth. They really had a terrible headache at that time, pondering on how to clean them up. Persians also fell because of the wild schemes against the gods. Throughout history, many ancient powerhouses of humanity were destroyed from it's roots, if they ever grow too strong.

"Yes, I agree with your opinion Almighty One. I say to Helheim with it! Let everything perish, they will soon understand and realize the might of us gods when we put this motion through," Odin agreed, while Zeus nodded.

"We can do this anytime we want, my fellow gods. However, we still need to get rid of that human god right away. If we don't, I fear those old geezers will try to take advantage of this situation," Almighty One said.

"Then it's decided, when that little piece of sh*t dies, we will end all of them once and for all," Zeus said.

They were still observing the great escape of Aurum while having these thoughts. Unfortunately, their mood suddenly went down when a familiar person intervened.

=======================================================

Ten minutes has passed since Aurum started running away, and he was deadbeat tired right now that he could fall asleep as if when he's going to lay down at his bed. He noticed his speed was slowing down and he was feeling really dizzy at the moment.

"System, what is happening to me?"

[DING! Host's mana is running out empty. Mana is connected to hosts psyche; if the Host's mana runs empty, then the Host is also going to be unconscious. Host's current mana is 10/2350.]

"That makes sense. Every single novel that I read says that too... Why didn't I thought about it before?" Aurum said while stopping.

He was feeling really helpless right now. He wished that he brought the Mana regeneration from the shop. If he did, he would be able to run a little bit longer and possibly escape the demon on his tail.

Aurum turned around, resolved to accepting his fate. He saw many trees in the forest that was being torn apart wherever the demon went. He inwardly sighed and just sat down waiting for him. Few minutes later, Mundo finally caught up with him. He saw Aurum sitting down and looking at him like as if his life wasn't in danger.

"My dear little Est, I finally found you~! Do you know how tiring it is just to catch up to you? Well, at least now you are behaving like a child you are~. I really wonder what is so unique about your body that you can do those all kinds of stuff!" Mundo said ecstatically.

"Before you take me, I want to know who are the guys who gave you that power. I really am curious on how you powered up in three short days" Aurum asked.

Aurum was desperately trying to buy some time by talking to him so that he can find an opening to strike at him. Even if it's a futile effort, he wanted to fall valiantly, and not like a dog begging for mercy. Naturally, Mundo knew about this but still didn't take any actions.

"Oh about that, huh? There were two people who came to me right after you left, offering me more power in order to take you. At first, I was really skeptical about what they said. But, but, but! I cannot bear the thought of you not coming to see me anymore! You are the perfect specimen to unlock the hidden abilities of humanity!" Mundo replied to him without any worries, "...But no matter how hard you try to stall, othing will change little Est~. Nobody will save you nor will help you in this situation~." Mundo inwardly thought.

"Two people came to you and offered you power to take me?" Aurum was getting interested on the topic while still looking for some opening.

"Mmm. They were really angry when they were talking about you y'know. From their expressions, I think you know about them because they keep on flinching whenever they say your name. I also guessed that you might have fought them before because they also told me a little more information about you. My, my, my, what a little bad boy you are!" Mundo said.

When he said those words, Aurum was greatly confused, "Since when have I fought or offended people who are stronger than me...? he thought.

"Okay, my little Est. It's time for us to go home now. We would be having lots of fun when we are back at home," Mundo said excitedly.

"Wait a f*cking minute! There are many things I find wrong on what you just said! First of all, you are a guy, so how the f*ck are you still saying that without any shame? And what do you mean by 'have lots of fun?' Sorry to break it to you, but I don't swing that way!" Aurum retorted as he felt that his chastity might be in danger.

Mundo ignored him and began walking towards him while breathing heavily. Aurum was really scared at his visage right now. Mundo looked like someone who was overdosed with aphrodisiac and can't hold it in anymore. Aurum tried to run away but found out that he can't even stand properly. Mundo was getting closer and closer, while Aurum was still trying to crawl away from him.

"Little Est, don't you worry, leave everything to me and all will be alright! As long as you are with me, nobody can ever mess with you except me, hee hee~" Mundo said to him.

Those words that Mundo just said finally made Aurum scream.

"AHHHH! STAY AWAY FROM ME YOU F*CKING HOMO! I DON'T WANT TO GO WITH YOU! LEAVE ME ALONE, YOU B*TCH!" Aurum screamed.

Right when Mundo was about to grab Aurum, Mundo suddenly felt a tremendous pressure weighing locking on him. He turned around but saw nobody in the surroundings. He was familiar on this kind of aura because those two people who he previously met also had that similar aura.

"Is someone else there?" Mundo politely asked.

However, nobody answered back to him. After waiting for a few minutes, he finally relaxed as he thought that it was just his excitement playing around in his mind. He turned his gaze back to Aurum and found that he was getting far away again just by crawling.

"Little Est! Don't make it too hard on me. Just stay put, and I'll take care of the rest!" Mundo said.

"No, I don't want to! You stay away right now, or I promise you that you will be disappointed. There's nothing unique in my body! I'm just normal human being!" Aurum tried to decrease Mundo's curiosity towards him, but failed.

"No, no, no. I know that you have something really special about you! So don't move around and everything will be over quickly~." Mundo's interest has greatly increased by now.

However, at the next moment, he was completely shocked. He found himself flying through the sky, and couldn't feel anything but his aching jaw.

"I agree... It's better to finish this now, but let me give you back the punch you gave me."

Mundo suddenly heard a voice while he was flying up the sky. Looking around the forest he saw a fine young man whose gaze is exceptionally charming. He didn't know who he was, but it was the opposite for Aurum.

"Dmitri! You came back!" Aurum was giddy at the moment.

"Sorry, kid. It took me a while to get back down," Dmitri apologized to Aurum.
