20 Punishmen
"He beat the crap out of Morriss!"
"Wasnt this kid a prodigy? How foolish of Morris. Still, this guy might not get away with the punishment!"
Amon heard all kinds of comments as he ate his meal.
They pick up only people with good backgrounds or talents...becoming a prodigy isn't hard among so many trashes.
Though Amon as he looked around. He was right some point as the prodigy title seemed to be a bit overrated.
"What happened here?!?" An angry voice which shut all the commotion rang.
"Elder, Morris came and..." Started explaining a disciple to the elder while Amon was still enjoying his meal.
Just as he finished, he saw that the elder was coming in his direction.
"Amon is it all true?" Asked the elder.
"Yes, he came and looked for a problem, I just had to defend myself." Said, Amon, as he shrugged.
"For causing such a ruckus, your prodigy weapon will be given back to the weaponry, while Morris will be beaten with sticks or lose all his merit points. Now go and bring your weapon back."
Amon felt satisfied. His punishment might have been even worse.
Coming back in his house, he picked Silver Sting and headed towards the weaponry.
"I'm here to submit my prodigy weapon." Said, Amon, as he placed the unlocked spear on the stand, where he was supposed to.
After this, he simply headed back to train with the spear group.
It was a five-hour long training and Amon was very tired as Tai Zi trained him harshly after learning that he had lost his weapon.
The fight with Thomas was in four days, three after this night.
Amon, however, was not worried. He was faster and stronger now and learned how to combine skills and techniques more efficiently in a fight.
Sitting on the bed in his house, Amon began to gather the energies and circulate them with the [Everburn Flame Mantra] method.
His three mana rings were now fully blue and radiated more heat than his before red rings.
What made him surprised was that the energy was now moving more smoothly into his body, making energy absorption easier, as well as the circulation.
His cultivation was closing on breakthrough. Amon didn't know whether this was good or bad. It seemed like the test Lan made was wrong.
After three hours of meditation, he opened his eyes and yawned.
Should I go to sleep? Thought Amon as he looked at the moon from his window. Something made him think about the dance he had done.
Unconsciously I spent so much time yet I wasn't tired in the least and even felt better. Maybe it would be better to try [Dance of Mo Ye].
In the end, he stood up and went out in the yard again. Finding a place for the paper was harder this time but he found one after a bit time.
The dark drawing was revealed again and the man began dancing with a sword in his right hand.
Amon began copying his moves bit by bit with a knife in his right hand.
It took him the same time of three hours to learn the dance and he soon started dancing while circulating energy.
In no time, he was lost in the dance and began repeating it unconsciously. At a time he understood what he was doing but he also felt that he was improving in terms of body.
While being lost in the trans he thought of something and started imagining that he was fighting enemies.
Just dancing is no fun...
The dance was being executed faster and faster until Amon heard a cracking sound in his body.
He fell and started breathing heavily while staring at the night sky which was about to become a sunny day after an hour or two.
Thinking about the sword dances he executed was the only thing he could do right now as he couldn't move a finger. Every muscle of his body was twitching, but this was good as he was becoming stronger.
Im not that bad in swordplay after all... it's just that what I began my sword practice with wasn't for me. It's still too late to make any conclusions until I enter a fight.
Closing his eyes he began gathering the fire energies in order to replenish his energy.
In two and a half hours he was ready to go. His absorbing speed had become faster and more efficient now.
I need to improve this body of mine else it will break from some dances... Thought Amon as he dragged his body towards the kitchen.
Everything was aching. His body couldn't hold on to this much strain obviously.
Finishing his 'breakfast' Amon headed towards the skill library. The first floor was available only for the disciples of the initial stage.
Entering the library, Amon turned to the elder of the library first. [Everburn Flame Mantra] was good for improving his body but it obviously couldn't cope with the recent stress Amon has been applying to it these days.
"Elder I need a body training method!" Bluntly said, Amon.
"Oh...its there. You should know that some arts bring pain though!" Said the elder as he pointed towards a certain shelf.
Picking a book from the shelve Amon read its description.
[Bluestone Body] -high initial stage skill, has four levels in total. Medicine baths are the best way to improve but also the most painful one. If one seeks a slow improving way, they can apply oil on their skin. Recipes for both ways have been introduced in the manual. - creator Varella Galportu
This one will do for now decided Amon as he went towards the reception in order to register it.
Next, he headed towards the medicine shop in the sect to purchase all the herbs. The pain wasn't going to be that fatal thought, Amon, as he listed all the herbs he wanted.
"It's worth 3700 silver coins or 37 merit points. If you are a prodigy however it will be 3500 or 35 merit points. How's it gonna be?" Asked the fat lady on the reception, as she looked at Amon. She didn't expect Amon to be a prodigy at all.
"Seems im lucky then." Said, Amon, as he placed his prodigy badge on the table. The lady was shocked for a bit then completed the transaction.
Amon had spent all his points but he still had some pills he could exchange. They were his trump card in case something happened.
And so, he headed towards his home with a big bag full of herbs.
