It was dark when I finished training. My training took a bit longer, because the space in this kingdom is limited. If you are that small you probably don't need that much space, I guess.
My sleep was very deep, such as I was able to fall asleep easily. The atmosphere in here is very calming, which is probably why the fairies are that laid-back about an army in here. They knew no one wants to fight here.
The awakening process mirrored the sleeping process. I woke up very well rested and had zero problems leaving the bed. Talking about leaving, is the queen back yet?
I leave my room to find out, as I walk into Rhage and Christian. They explain that they were sparring, as they woke up earlier than the others.
We decide to walk towards the audience room together, as the three representatives of our army. This time around, the castle is better lighted and more decorated. There were also more maids, so I guess either the queen came back, or they treat their guests like royalty. Both ways, good for us.
The guard holds us once again, asking us to stay for a few minutes and wait. We stand there in the big corridor as Juven, the guard, opens the big golden door to enter. The door was out of pure gold, as the weight of it suggests. The doors frame had to be quite strong to hold it.
After a few minutes Juven returns, invites us in and holds the door open. The room wasn't as flashy as I expected it to be, but it did have a distinguished aura. Weirdly enough, the feeling of inferiority hits me. Looking at the other two, they are hit even worse. My brother is completely pale and Rhage takes a step back. I hear a voice in my head:" Come closer"
The other two step back a few times then kneel. Guess they got the opposite command. As I didn't want to disobey, and risk my life for nothing I step forward.
As I come around the corner, the calm feeling returns. Was this magic the whole time? It's fine if she doesn't use it against us, isn't it?
Queen:" Hello young mortal one"
C:" Aren't you just as mortal? Every creature dies"
Q:" Bold, but right. There will be a time I die. I am not wanting to prolong my life outside of my boundaries."
C:" To get to the point, why was I called here alone?"
Q:" I wanted to inspect Tohrments son with my own eyes. You have strong eyes and a strong body, but your mind is frail and weak. Such as every other humans, except your father"
C:" Did you think I could've inheritted that?"
Q:" Questions were your fathers favourite thing to do, too. He wasn't born with that resistance. He built it up, after long times of training. You have the same talent to do so, but beware of the possible consequences"
What consequences could there be in training my mind? Resisting mind control, demons lures and so on are all positive results...
C:" What are those?"
Q:" That, you have to find out yourself. Some lose theirselves in might, some drown in their thoughts. Others enhance their magic. All up to you"
The risks are pretty high, but the consequences I risk in not learning it are far heavier. If I get controlled by a demon I am immortal. The demons regeneration in combination with my Crucible of Pain would be devastating.
C:" Can you teach me?"
Q:" I can, but what do I gain of it?"
C:".... What did you gain of my father back then?"
Q:" How did you get the idea that I teached your father?"
C:" How else would you know about his skills and his talent back then?"
Q:" Well, I don't have to worry about your learning process that way. I will teach you, but remember: Training your mind might also change your body and feelings."
