Rae Gu's body felt so sore. She stretched her hands to rub her lower back.

"Aish. My back really hurts." Rae Gu remembered that smug looked on that man's face, and really wished to punch him.[Hmp! You just wait for my sweet revenge. bwuhahaha.]She mumbled to herself while swaying her fist on the air and laughed evilly.

The two maids felt creepy after seeing Rae Gu acted like that. They both looked at her with inquisitive eyes and thought that their mistress must've a screw loosed on her brain.

Rae Gu remembered that she was not alone in the room. She slowly put down her fist and turned her eyes to looked at where the maid was. There, she saw them standing and staring at her.

"Cough!", Rae Gu coughed up to hide her embarrassment. She then sat up straight like a refine lass from a noble family and changed the subject. "Xiao Huli, is that dress for me?"

Both of the maids' lips twitched at Rae Gu sudden change of demeanor. They really did not know which side of her was her true self and she could also change her behavior very quickly like how she wanted it to be. They both just let it passed for as long as Rae Gu will treat them well then it won't matter.

Xiao Lang stepped forward and carried a white folded dress. "Yes mistress, this servant has prepared this dress for you."

Rae Gu then got up and examined the dress. "Whoa. It's so beautiful. Now, let's go and take me to the bathroom. I can't wait to wear this." She urged them to hurry.

Xiao Huli could only shook her head with a smile on her face and lead the way to the bathroom. "Follow this servant please, mistress." They went to a side room and followed by Xiao Lang who was carrying the dress.

"Mistress, we've arrived." The three of them entered the room and Rae Gu was amazed to see an ancient wooden bathtub. She could also see some flower petals floating on top of the water and an antique incense burner besides the bathtub.

"Mistress, let this servant help you washed up." Xiao Huli then reach out to the quilt but was dodge by Rae Gu.

"No, It's okay. I'll do it myself. You can just wait for me outside. Xiao Lang, please put the dress behind the screen." Rae Gu declined their help as she was not used to being serve by others, specially when cleaning herself.

"Yes mistress." Xiao Lang smiled and put the dress behind the screen while Xiao Huli lit an incense stick and put it inside the burner.

"Mistress, do you need anything else?"

"No, thank you. I'm good."

"Okay mistress, Just call for this servant if you need anything, this servant will be waiting outside."

" Okay."

"Then, excuse this servant mistress." Both of them bowed and went outside.

After seeing them closed the door, Rae Gu removed the quilt from her body and walked to the bathtub. She slowly climbed up to the bathtub and dipped herself onto the warm water. The warm feeling from the water loosened up her stiff muscles. She thought that how good would it be to have a full body massage after this warm bath.

Thinking about this made Rae Gu miss her home and wished to go back. Her expression turned soft as a man's smiling face reflected on her mind. He was her uncle who took care of her since young, as far as she knows, her mother died after giving birth to her and her elder brother and father also died in an accident leaving her alone. He was the only relative she had left and treated him as her own father like how her uncle treated her like she was his own daughter.

[Uncle, how are you right now? Don't worry about me, i'm totally find here and just take care of your health.] Rae Gu whispered to herself and she couldn't stop her tears from falling. She curled up like a fetus and started to cry out her frustrations. She was in a different world and worst she was entangled with a man that she did not even had any idea what his name was.

Meanwhile, in another courtyard, a man with a silver hair also soaked his body inside the water in an indoor pool. He was taking a deep breath to cool down his heated body.

"Shu Ren," The man called as he leaned his back on one of the corners of the pool.

"Yes my Lord." In a dark corner, a certain shadow moved and walked towards the side of the pool.

"How was the investigation?" But before Shu Ren could answer him. Another voice sounded from the side of the door announcing some urgent matters.

"My lord, this servant received a letter from the palace." Another dark guard showed up and went forward but froze upon seeing their lord inside the pool again. He looked at Shu Ren with a querying looked on his face, but Shu Ren just shrugged his shoulders, implying that he also did not know. The dark guard looked back to their Lord when he heard him talked.

"Put the letter on my desk, This king will read it later."

"But my Lord...." -The message from the palace was urgent.- The dark guard could only swallow those words back, as a certain man looked at him with a deadly glare.

"This servant will retire first."The dark guard stepped back then vowed and started to walked towards the door but when he passed by Shu Ren's side, he shoot him a pitying glance.

Shu Ren understood what that glance meant, because he himself knows that their Lord was in a bad mood since he came back from that room earlier. So, he has been treading the water carefully to avoid offending this majesty.

Shu Ren felt that the eyes of their Lord was on him and he understood his meaning, so he started to talked. "Our leads and evidence were pointed at the Shuan Clan my Lord."

"Shuan Clan? ha! They really dared to used that hateful drugs to trapped this king huh?" The man sneered as he stand up from the water and let his servant help him dressed up. After changing his clothes, the man walked out from the bath house and slowly strode forward to his study followed by Shu Ren.

"My lord, how do you want us to deal with the Shuans?"

"Just let them be for now. This king still have some uses for them. Right! This king also asked you to investigate about that woman's background, any result?" The man stopped his footsteps and looked back at Shu Ren.

Shu Ren got into his knees, "My Lord forgive this servant for being incompetent, but your servant really have no clue where to search about her. Your servant have already asked all the nearby towns if they knew her but there was no result."

"Oh? Is that so? You people found her inside the dark forest,right?" A cold and suffocating air was emitted from the man's body. He let out his momentum and it scared Shu Ren who was kneeling on the ground.

"Yes my Lord. She was the only person your servants could grabbed yesterday, as it was so urgent and it just so happened that your servant found her near this place my Lord." Shu Ren's body shivered from the cold temperature around him while he answer their Lord.

The man sighed and retracted his aura. If only he hasn't fallen for that hateful Shuan clan trap. This situation would never had happen. "Never mind, This king will found out about her sooner. Now, get up from the floor." The man then did not bother to looked at Shu Ren and continued to walked forward towards his study room.

Seeing this, Shu Ren got up from the floor and hurriedly follow their Lord.

They arrived at the door and gone inside his study. The man went to his table and sat down on the chair. He tapped his finger on the arm rest pondering about something when his magnetic voice sounded.

"Shu Ren, you know that only dragons posseses a pearl right?"

Shu Ren was taken aback by this sudden query from their lord, As everyone knows about it but still he did not hesitate to answer."Yes my Lord."

Before the man talked again, he wave his hand and put an enchantment around them. "Well, This king knows that you are one of my best dark guard and this king can fully trust you. So, this King won't hide this from you and also this king needs you to investigate on this matter personally."

"This servant will try his best to fulfill your orders my Lord." Shu Ren kneeled down and waited for his Lord's orders.
