Farsian

28 Black Harbor

"Farsian? What are you hesitating about?" Joelle asked with a frown on her beautifull face.

"That's a good question young lad, I'm still waiting for your answer." The knight said his face and attitude unchanging. He looked like he had seen many things in life, too much to be shocked by anything anymore.

"I was just thinking what I should answer, actually I traveled with them for a while." Farsian said, he wasn't sure how to desrcibe this bunch of followers. Some of them were manipulated by him while some still had some of their mind.

"That's ok too. We have a lot of common people in the harbor, but they can't follow you any further than that." The knight was now slowly getting impatient, he wanted to wrap things up so that they could return home.

"If that is the case I would like to take them with me." After that they all left together for the harbor that would bring them on the isle.

Farsian and Joelle got a ride on a horse, Helena and the rest sadly had to walk by foot to get there. Along the way Helena kept complaining that she couldn't walk anymore so Farsian ordered Mark to carry her on his shoulders.

Along the way they passed a checkpoint, at the checkpoint were a few robed figures as well as a few knights. When they were stopped by one of the knights there, the knight leader spoke solemly "May the dawn come in and the blood flow!" and they let them pass through. It appeared to be some kind of secret code that would grant you entry.

"We are almost there, this is Black Harbor!" The knight in the lead said while pointing in the distance, there you could see a magnificent harbor with triple masted ships and many giant black towers. The harbor was coated in some kind of mysterious force field, when you looked at it for too long you would forget the name of the place and how you got there. Farsian guessed that it should protect the city from divination magic, but he wasn't a mage so he couldn't be sure.

"I hope Kaiser didn't get in any trouble because of me?" Farsian asked Joelle.

"Not at all, he is very skilled in staying out of trouble. When we first got there he was praised by the teacher a lot and even got to skip some classes entirely. I think he must feel like a fish in water there." Joelle said with a grin.

"That is good to hear. I hope your trainer wouldn't punish you to harshly, else I might have to pay him a visit." Farsian said jokingly, he was well aware that her trainer should be someone of the older generation.

"Thanks but he usually is a very kind person." Joelle said, after that she searched in her pockets for something.

"Here take this, my teacher gave it to me. It's a magic gear that is suited for a vampire." Joelle gave Farsian a small necklace. The necklace was golden and had a small moon as a pendant. It let the air around it vibrate with small traces of magic fluctuations. This necklace couldn't be cheap, her trainer really liked her a lot it seems.

"Thanks, but are you sure your trainer won't mind?" Farsian still took the necklace without waiting for a response from her, it was a magic gear after all, he would be a fool to not take it. After taking it he started to study it closely, the magic runes on its surface were very intricate, almost like some kind of art. The moon glowed in a faint blue hue and gave Farsian a feeling of power.

"Don't worry, I'll just say that I lost it somewhere on the way here. He will understand, and maybe I will even get a new one." Joelle winked at him.

Soon Farsian, Joelle and the knights passed the gates to the city. Helena who was still on Marks shoulders and the rest of the company also soon followed behind. The knights couldn't ride that fast with a giant toad that looked and weighed as if it was made out of stone dragging behind them. Mark was a strong warrior and the maid propably got some training of some sort. The twins on the other hand were rather nimble to beginn with and could propably also hold their own in battle.

"Welcome to Black Harbor!" The knight in front shouted back.

Farsian came from a bigger city so he wasn't particularly awed by the ammount of people walking in the streets, but what did surprise him was the ammount of vampires that could be found walking in the streets. Some tried to hide their vampirism while others openly displayed their red eyes and their sharp teeth, but the common people didn't seem to mind at all. You could even see some of the common people trying to get closer and befriend a vampire. It was really a odd sight to have for Farsian that was used to walking in the shadows, alone.

"Why are they not hiding what they are? If all the common people flee because of them then what are we going to feed on?" Farsian asked Joelle who was rather amused by his attitude.

"Don't worry, there are laws here that help keep things in place. Few people actually fear us here, rather most people actually want to join our ranks and gain immortality. There is even a bussiness branch that specialises in these kinds of things, mortals can gain eternal live and vampires can get fresh blood." Joelle tried to explain everything to Farsian that she knew but the more she explained the more questions Farsian came up with.

"We're here, this is where you will stay for the next couple of days before the ferry comes to bring you to the isle." The chief knight said in a stern voice, Farsian was still asking questions to Joelle who happily tried to answer as much as she could.

"Thank you for the escort." Joelle and Farsian said their thanks to the knight who rode away with the giant toad still bound to their horses. They would propably have to deliver it somewhere to claim the price for it.

Joelle, Farsian, Helena and the rest were standing in front of some sort of inn. A sign read 'Eternal Resting Place'. Helena couldn't help but mutter in distatisfaction "Isn't that a bit too cliché?" when she read the sign, and now that she said it Farsian had to agree with her on that point but the knight definitely told them that this would be the place.

"Well let's go inside for now. Can't change the name of this place anyways so might as well look at how it looks inside." The maid said, it had been a long time since she last saw an inn from the inside.

"You are propably right, might as well go inside. It has been a long time since I last slept on a comfortable bed." Helena couldn't argue with the otherwise so silent maid. She rarely spoke without being asked something, Helena didn't mind since the other three also didn't say much either. But Farsian knew that there was no spell that was attached to the maid, while he personally used his ability on the other three he didn't do anything to the maid yet.

The maid had a rather well developed body and was still quite joung no older than perhaps 25 years old. Her maid dress also further enhanced her quality body, her black stockings that went over her knees and only left a slight gap between her rather short rock exposed were well designed and had an intricate pattern that left some areas exposed. Her belly button as well as her back were also left exposed even though the dress was connected together at the sides and front. Her maid uniform was mostly black with some wite and red mixed into the mix. It looked rather beautifull on her, but there was this saying that no matter what a beauty wears or how she looks at you she still stays beautifull so perhaps that was part of the reason of why it looked so good on her.

Farsian had thought about it before but he was sure that this maid had other purposes in acompanying him this far. After all the only comand that was attached to her was that she should leave with Farsian, there was nothing hindering her from returning or going her own ways. It was very likely that she had her own mission to fullfill, and that she only happened to share the same way as Farsian. But still that maid uniform really looked good on her.

When he had time, he had to get such uniforms for the twin sisters to wear as well. Farsian was sure that it would look great on them too, and unlike the maid he had absolute controll over them.
