On my way toward Brock's house I decided to go first at the pokemon center an make some calls, it's early yet so it should not be a problem.

As I walked into the building I asked Nurse Joy for the phone and she indicates me where it was. Let's see, at this time Mom should be at home. Let's call her there first.

*ring* *ring*

It takes a few seconds before I hear her voice

"Hello!"

"Hi there, Mom. I'm calling you from Pewter City, How are you doing?"

"Oh! Hi Ash, and hi there Pikachu!"

'Pikachu' he raised his paw to greet her before she keeps talking.

"I'm fine. I've just arrived and I'm waiting for Daisy to come, she should be on her way here. You say that you are in Pewter city already? Did you like the Viridian's forest? I used to think that the forest had a magical charm."

Well, I suppose that the gloomy mood and the labyrinthic way in which the trees are located it is feels paranormal on some way.

"You are right, Mom. It feels mysterious and enthralling."

I took my first badge and show it to her.

"Look, Mom. Today in the morning I have fought my first gym battle and won. It was awesome!" I told her with a smile.

Her eyes opened in awe for a moment before she smiles too.

"Congratulation Ash, you are doing it really well. You already make your first step on your way to fulfill your dreams. I'm very proud of you."

"Thanks, Mom. I did become friends with the gym leader after the combat. His name is Brock, he will be traveling with me while his father takes his place like the gym leader. There is also a girl coming with us her name is Misty, she got lost in Viridian's forest and I did help her to leave."

Her smile grew much after that.

"I'm very happy that you are making some friends! It reassures me that you are not out of there alone and that you have friends that can help you."

Yeah, I suppose that I was not the kid with most friends back on the town...

"Tell me about the girl? How is she?" She asks with a playful tone.

"Well...Misty is kinda grumpy and tomboyish, but she is also kind sometimes, she really loves pokemon. Except for bug-types, they terrify her."

I scratched the back of my head while I answer her. Misty can be really annoying but I know that she is kind. If not, she would not get mad on my ways to training pokemon back on the forest.

Mom let out a little laugh.

"She seems a nice girl, remember to be kind. Not everyone can express her feelings so easy as you or Gary. You will have to learn to deal with that, it will do everything easier."

"Sure Mom."

*knock**knock*

"It seems that Daisy is already here. Wait a moment Ash. I'm sure that she will like to greet you." She goes to open the door

"Do you remember Daisy, Pikachu? She is the one that healed you just after I catch you."

'pi pi pi' He nodded.

After a few seconds, Mom and Daisy appeared on the screen

"Hi there, little Red."

Mom seems to be clueless about why Daisy calls me like that. Now that I think about it, I never told Mom about that.

"Hi! how are you, Daisy? how's going your job at Prof. Oak's lab?"

she did shrug

"As usual, I have to be careful with my grandfather, he tends to work too much. He was really excited about the recording that you send him, not many people have been so lucky to see that Pokemon. There are tales that state that is a sign of good fortune." Her expression turned thoughtful for a moment

"We also receive your Weedle the other day, she is really cute when trying to look strong." She did laugh

'piiii kaaaa' pikachu tried to get her attention

"Hey there Pikachu. You also look cute, it's nice to see that you are fine. Try to keep your trainer out of problems, ok?"

'pikachu'

"I hope Weedle doesn't trouble you too much, I will take her with me when I'll change some of the pokemon on my team once I get into Cerulean City"

"It's all right, is my job to take care of all the pokemon here."

"Thanks."

I said her with a smirk

"Well, I have to go. I'll call from Cerulean City next time. Bye Mom, bye Daisy."

'pika'

"Goodbye son, take care." "Bye little Red, bye Pikachu."

After the call ended, we left the pokemon center and I make my way towards Brock's house once again. Its almost sunset, they should be preparing dinner already.

The gym wasn't so far this morning, it has been almost 20 minutes since we left the pokemon center.

'pi pi'

"Wait a little more, Pikachu. We are almost there."

It took me a few more minutes to reach our destination.

*knock* *knock*

One of Brock's siblings came to open the door.

"What do you want?" He looks like he still mad at me for defeating Onix.

"I'm looking for your brother, can you say him that I'm here?" I put my best smile but it doesn't seem to work.

"He is busy right now, come back later." He was about to close the door before I stopped, it's not really hard since I'm stronger than a normal 10 years old kid.

"It's something important, it would not bother him to listen to me for a moment."

I opened the door and get into the house. I used my aura to find where was Brock and started to make my way through the house

"Hey! Wait!"

"What's happening?" Brock come out from a room that I suppose is the kitchen by the way he's dressed. He looks really serious.

"Hi there Brock" I greet him with a smile

"Oh, it's you Red. Come the dinner its almost ready. Forrest, can you show him where is the dining room?" He doesn't even wait for an answer before return to the kitchen.

"So?"

"what? why should I help you?" He looks annoyed.

"Well, I don't really need you your help but I was just being kind. Let's go Pikachu."

'pikachu'

I walked in the directions where I feel most people together. It was easy to find since they were also being noisy.

"You are a water-type trainer like mom! You are awesome Misty!"

I did open the door.

"We finally made it Pikachu." 'pika pi'

"Red, you are late!"

"Ah!" "the big bully!" "What do you want!?"

I just ignored all of them and walk carefree through the room and take a sit.

"I'm really tired, can anyone give me a glass of water? Please"

"Come, Tilly. Let's go for some water." Misty stood up and took Brock's younger sister by the hand before leaving the room.

"what are you doing here!?" one of the siblings asked me

"Well, your big brother invited me. It's like this that you treat your guests?"

They looked ashamed at my question. Misty came back with a jar of water.

"Serve yourself," she said and put the jar on the table.

"Thanks, Misty. You're very sweet." I said while smiles to her before drinking an entire glass of water in one gulp. After all that walk, fresh water feels really nice.

'pi pi'

I also served some water on my glass for Pikachu to drink.

"So, Red. What have you been doing?"

I looked at her, I was about to tell her about the incident with Karna but I decided that she doesn't need to know, and she could even get mad at me for that.

"Just walked to the outskirts, found a tree and slept until sunset. What about you?"

She frowned at my answer.

"I've helped Brock to bring bags with ingredients and other things from the shops."

"Sorry to hear that, the sunlight today was really strong."

She just got depressed about it. Before we could keep talking, Brock walked into the room bringing the meal along with his father.

The food was a stew, it was really tasty. Even Pikachu ate a little. After finishing dinner, Brock went outside and start to feed his pokemon. I did the same and take out my friends to eat, even if they just eat pokeblocks my [Pokemon Breeding] skill allows me to know how to make better and more tasteful food. So they don't bother to look for anything else to eat.

I also used this chance to ask Flint about the old hydroelectric plant, it seems that is not close from the city and you need to walk for almost two hours before getting there.

I decided to go there tomorrow early and stay they for the next 2 days.

I did let Misty and Brock knows where they can find me since I will leave really early in the morning. After that Misty and I come back to the same place where we slept last night.

It's been a long day...
