Chapter 32 The Terror That Was Tang Airou
In that instant, all of them understood just how terrifying Wang Feng was. This was not a man that they could stop.
Wang Feng glance at the few guys, and then without even thinking, he said, “Get out of my sight before I change my mind and break all of your legs.”
This was a university. Any blood spilled here would no doubt be a bad influence. That was why Wang Feng had decided not to be too harsh on them.
The guys were also aware that staying behind would only serve to humiliate them further. “Fine. But just you wait,” one of them threw out the words before they fled the scene with their tails between their legs.
“Sister Xue, they are just punks. Don’t take their words to heart,” Wang Feng said as he turned around to face Bei Yunxue.
“Nah. They’re just a bunch of kids to me,” Bei Yunxue said, shaking her head. “I want to go sit by the lake. Accompany me?”
“Sure.”
At the lakeside, a gentle breeze blew across the lake, creating ripples on its surface, which looked really beautiful under the reflection of the light. One would experience total calmness in one’s heart just by sitting here.
The tranquility, however, lasted only a few minutes before it was shattered by the sounds of haphazard footsteps.
“Brother Hua, that’s the guy who tried to get in my way. Will you teach him a lesson for me?” A menacing voice sounded nearby. That dude had returned, the one whom Wang Feng had given a beating to just now.
This time around, he brought along 20 guys with him.
“Brother Hua?” At the sound of their voices, Wang Feng stood up slowly. He had wanted some time to relax, but these people seemed so keen on disturbing his peace. He was seriously a bit pissed off about that.
“Will you be okay?” Bei Yunxue asked, glancing at the 20 or so people who had taken up formation around them. “Wang Feng would be beaten up if these people really attacked,” she thought.
“Don’t worry. This definitely won’t be a problem,” Wang Feng said as he patted Bei Yunxue’s hand gently. Then Wang Feng walked towards those guys.
Numbers did not mean anything. Wang Feng was growing stronger each day. If he really went all out, who knew he could kill a guy in a single punch.
“Brother Hua, as long as you teach the guy a lesson for me, I’ll fulfill every single one of my promises before,” said the guy whom Wang Feng had beaten up when he noticed Wang Feng’s approach.
He had promised to give them 100,000 to fund their activities just so he could get back at Wang Feng. It was considered a splurge.
Wang Feng had humiliated him in front of so many people. He needed to regain his dignity at all costs.
“Shut up,” said Brother Hua. At first, Brother Hua thought that he had been asked to take care of some lowly punk.
But when he saw just who his supposed opponent was, he wanted to smacked that idiot to death.
An obsequious smile formed on Brother Hua’s face as he took out a pack of cigarettes and offered it to Wang Feng. “Brother Feng,” he said, “why didn’t you tell me about coming back to school? I would’ve prepared a welcoming party for you.”
What a shocking scene indeed to see Brother Hua speaking in such subservient tone.
“Little Hua?” Wang Feng seemed a little surprised too when he saw the guy who was offering him a pack of cigarettes deferentially. During his time in Zhu Hai University, Wang Feng was a famous delinquent who had taken in quite a number of henchmen. Little Hua was one of them.
As more and more seniors graduated, the small thug from the past had become the big brother.
“That’s right, Brother Feng. It’s me.” Little Hua was delighted at the fact that Wang Feng still remembered him.
Wang Feng was their idol back then. The guy packed a wallop, looked out for his own, and was famous.
If that were not the case, Little Hua would not be acting so deferentially by offering to light a cigarette for Wang Feng.
The guy who had asked Little Hua to beat up Wang Feng, on the other hand, had long since gone into shock. If the person he had called was addressing Wang Feng as “big brother”, then he...
Cold sweat drenched his forehead at the thought. He fumbled to get the hell out of there.
As if he even had the chance. He was grabbed by two guys immediately when Little Hua barked out an order. Then he was brought before Wang Feng.
“Brother Feng, this guy asked me to beat you up. I’ll let you decide what to do with him,” said Little Hua, feeling a bit of contempt for rich, spoilt kids.
Had it not been for that offer of 100,000, he would not even consider helping the guy.
“You guys can do whatever you want as long as you don’t kill him,” Wang Feng said calmly without sparing the guy a single glance.
As soon as Wang Feng’s words left his mouth, the guy began yelling. “Please! Have some mercy!”
He knew Little Hua’s methods very well. Nothing good would befall him if he fell into Little Hua’s clutches. In that moment, he was truly afraid.
But no matter how loud and how hard he pleaded, Wang Feng no longer gave the guy any thought. He ordered the guy to be brought away. Everyone knew in their own hearts the kind of fate which awaited the guy.
“Brother Feng, can’t believe you’ll come back to our school even a year after you graduated. Is it because you miss us brothers?” Little Hua said smilingly.
Wang Feng laughed. “F*ck you. I’m not gay,” he said.
If it were not for Bei Yunxue’s wish to be here, Wang Feng would not even have come. Brothers or whatnot, Wang Feng had never even gave them much thought. These were merely drinking buddies, guys whom he hung around with to have fun. They had nothing worthwhile to offer him at all.
In his heart, there were only three guys whom Wang Feng truly saw as his brothers. The only one he had tracked down was big brother. He had lost touch with the other two ever since he graduated. He did not know where they were now.
Just then, Bei Yunxue came up to them. “Wang Feng, these people are?” She asked, her face confused.
“So this should be our big sister, right?” Little Hua said. Glancing at Bei Yunxue, he could not help but held an envious look in his face. Bei Yunxue’s appearance was truly eye-catching. Not even the current beauty queen of Zhu Hai University could hold a candle to her.
“Man, this big brother is the boss indeed. He had even gotten himself such a beautiful wife,” Little Hua thought.
“Don’t talk nonsense,” Bei Yunxue said, though her tone was not chiding. A tinge of crimson had colored her cheeks.
Just then, Wang Feng said, “Alright, Little Hua. You guys go do your thing, then.”
At Wang Feng’s pointed words, Little Hua understood that he and his guys would just be in the way if they lingered around longer. After exchanging a few words with Wang Feng, Little Hua brought his guys and left.
“Wang Feng, thank you for having fun with me today,” Bei Yunxue said after everyone left. Before Wang Feng could even react, she stood on her tippy toes and kissed Wang Feng on the cheek. The kiss was light, like a dragonfly skimming the surface of the water.
The cool sensation of the kiss had caused Wang Feng’s heart to stop for a brief instant. Then Bei Yunxue’s jerked her head back as if she had been burnt.
Right now, her face was flushed red, and amidst the night, she looked completely enticing. Wang Feng could only stare at her in the stupor.
He never expected Sister Xue to take the initiative to kiss him. Now, other than the shock, Wang Feng’s only other reaction was the stupid smile on his face.
It seemed like today was not entirely wasted after all. He had gotten a far greater reward than he had imagined.
It was already past 9:00 pm by the time they got back to the villa.
When they opened the door, the saw that Tang Airou had already returned. Right now, she was sitting cross-legged on the couch, staring at Wang Feng coldly.
Wang Feng was already immune to such a gaze, so he acted like he had not noticed anything at all.
This woman wanted him gone, but he would never agree. In the same way, it would be impossible for him to chase Tang Airou out too.
After a hurried shower, Wang Feng headed to his room. He had a wild day today, so he felt a little drained.
He closed the door of his room, too lazy to think about anything else. He approached his bed and was prepared to dive into it. Suddenly, his movement halted as his senses went on high alert.
Slowly, he activated his X-ray vision. Shortly after that, a trickle of cold sweat slid down from his forehead.
No wonder the crazy woman, Tang Airou, was looking at him with a cold smile moments ago. Right now, his mattress was lined with thumb tacks beneath the sheets.
There had to be at least 30 thumb tacks there. If he actually lay down on them... He winced at the thought.
This woman was truly evil. He could not believe she would resort to such methods to get back at him. Good thing his senses had been heightened after he began his training in the Art of Gathering Qi. Otherwise, he would be lying in a hospital bed soon.
Wang Feng cleared the tacks away before lying down. “Looks like I need to be on the defensive around his devilish woman in the future,” he thought.
Otherwise, it would be f*cking brutal if she ever gotten her way.
Wang Feng lay in his room with a scowl whereas in the living room, Tang Airou was sitting with her ears perked up. She was waiting for the scream from Wang Feng’s room.
Around 20 minutes had passed, and yet she never heard a sound. She was starting to grow suspicious at that point.
Just then, Bei Yunxue had finished bathing and was heading towards her. “Airou, aren’t you going to sleep?” Bei Yunxue asked.
historical
“I’m not sleepy. It’s my day off tomorrow, and I’ve got nothing planned. You sleep first,” Tang Airou said, waving her off.
“Alright then, suit yourself. I’m going to bed.” Bei Yunxue yawned and then walked up the stairs lazily.
When the heard the shutting of Bei Yunxue’s door, Tang Airou stood up from the couch slowly. This Wang Feng was just too weird. So many tacks, and yet he did not make a single sound?
Although she had intended to exact revenge on Wang Feng, she was now starting to feel a little worried.
Could it be that Wang Feng was dead?
TV immediately lost its appeal at the thought. She crept towards Wang Feng’s bedroom and stood at the door.
She placed her ear against the door, trying to hear any sounds from within. But the strange thing was that not a single sound could be heard from inside the room, not even the sound of breathing.
Did something really happen?
An instant change went across her face at that thought. Gently, she pushed open Wang Feng’s door. She had intended for revenge. But if she ended up killing Wang Feng, she would be screwed.
She was careful in the act of opening his door, lest she produced even the slightest noise.
Just when the door was open wide enough to reveal a tiny gap, a palm shot out and yanked her through the door.
“Argh!”
It all happened so suddenly that she jumped in fright. She wanted to scream, but a sudden coolness covered her narrow lips, taking away her ability to produce any sound.
